Has to be today! My PC at home is running with Team Viewer just so i can start downloading while I'm still at work:P
-
Just let me click that magical buy button:)
-
If you have bought DCS: A-10C Warthog either from http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/ or Steam and you have your product key all you have to do now is to download and install: DCS World after that you will need to download and install A-10C module: DCS A-10C Warthog During first launch you will be asked to enter your serial number for A-10C. As for your other questions- IMHO all of DCS products are worth getting :) If you want to taste some air to air combat get Flaming Cliffs 3 or P-51D. Combined arms are great for MP play (but you can still get some fun out of it in SP missions!). Ah and let's not forget DCS Black Shark :D

Radio Comms: Can't use F7-key (Awacs, wingman)
Corvus replied to pappavis's topic in General Questions
My first guess would be that your TIR software is using F7. -
I've switched from CH setup to Warthog. My first impression was that joystick feels a lot more stiff- you need to use more force to move it, but on the other hand movement is much more fluid. In CH when moving in X i Y axis you could feel both springs- nothing like that in Warthog and IMHO it gives you a lot more precision. As for centering- never had any problem with CH gear (except for that slew control on throttle). Same thing with Warthog. What I've noticed though is that even small force (like resting your hand just a bit on joystick) can move it out of center (it's more of a + than - but you have to keep that in mind). Lastly Warthog throttle is different league- massive, requires more force to move, with a lot of buttons. Slew control is working great- I've always had some issues with it on my CH gear. Anyway I have to say it was worth it, and I don't think you will regret your purchase.

Wow! Su-25 with 6DOF cockpit! Awesome indeed!

Buddy lasing either from A10 or player controlled JTAC is possible. Just switch TGP to LSRCH mode and when it spots laser hold down TMS Up long to set it up as SPI. Check out this video- my friend in A10 was yelling at me to hold that laser steady:P dx1_7wcxPa8

I think you can but no way to test it, sorry.
-
No problem- if you have any question regarding G13 just ask:)
-
Like other guys wrote here- G13 is not sending any DX input- so in DCS you won't see anything showing up when pressing G-keys. To make it work assign key commands in logitech software- like for example- G1 Ctrl+C to close canopy. You don't have to set up anything in DCS, just assign DCS commands to G-keys.

Older tracer effect for 1.2.2
Corvus replied to Mustang's topic in Utility/Program Mods for DCS World
Thanks Mustang! Old tracers look better IMHO, so nice to see them back. Now let's see which one of those tracer models are responsible for Ka-50 AP round... -
IMO you can either wait a bit for A10 module to get updated to 7204 version or you can download DCS World version 7122 again, but do not update it until you install A10. After installation you can update it.

K36 pilot and ejection seat model for DCS World
Corvus replied to Mustang's topic in Utility/Program Mods for DCS World
Great model Mustang, but now when ejecting from Su-27 it will look like you're actually changing plane for a better looking one:P jk jk! -
Best way to see if you're doing something wrong would be to see your track in game. Post it and I'll have a look after work:)

WIP DCS A-10C and Teamspeak 3 Integration
Corvus replied to Headspace's topic in Utility/Program Mods for DCS World
Same problem here (I have usb keyboard). I couldn't assign any key to ptt so i just left it empty (no key assigned), when I switched to ptt while DCS was active, TARS radio buttons activated transmission- so all worked fine. -
WIP DCS A-10C and Teamspeak 3 Integration

In A10 and Ka-50 you can use any frequency that radio equipment support. -
JTAC in MP mission- marking some targets for my friend in A10C. Next time I'll ask him for a gun run:D dx1_7wcxPa8

You're right- before requesting repair, get ground crew to hook up electric power (in F8 comms menu). Now you can safely turn off engines without worrying about EGI/CDU. You will still need APU to start up engines. As for NWS- I never turn it off and was able to repair.
-
Yes you can designate airfield to be Red or Blue in mission editor. From what i know- you don't need any vehicles on the field to get repairs at least for A10. I've tested repair command and with A10 you need to have your engines off. If they are running you will get "copy" from ground crew but nothing will happen.

I think it's because of CBU high drag. You need to keep a stable descend, at i would say around -20 degrees to get CCIP pipper and solid line.

Operation Bactria (MP COOP 14), Afghanistan CAS
Corvus replied to Habu23's topic in User Created Missions General
I have to say this is one of the best missions i have played. Thank you for your effort! -
Since I've switched to DCS World i have a problem with my throttle. Every time i start with plane already on runway or cold and dark after unpausing, throttle in game is set to full power. I have to move my controller for the game to report it's proper position. Dunno if it's intended or not but it works that way on either CH throttle or TM WH throttle. I have ticked synchronise controls in options but it didn't change a thing. I think that this is also connected with engine start up issue on WH throttle. To start up engines you have to move throttle from off to idle and than back again for game to register engine start up. So conclusion: when you start in A10 cold and dark you have your throttles set to max power even though WH throttle is set in off position. But since they are in off position until you move them just a bit from idle and back game is still reporting it in max power. In DCS A10 1.1.1.1 it's working fine right now so i think it's World issue. Edit: Engines are set to full power even if no controller is connected.

WIP DCS A-10C and Teamspeak 3 Integration
Corvus replied to Headspace's topic in Utility/Program Mods for DCS World
There seems to be a problem with configuration- i've setup TARS radio 1 and radio 2 to TH Warthog mic up and middle switch. It didn't work- only radio working was FM (still with defaults setting ctrl+3). I've tried to reset it to default but i could only switch to FM and AM- ctrl+1 didn't work. Edit: Now it's working fine. Anyway flying with TARS is so much better it should be part of DCS World:) -
It seems that those modules (A10 and Ka-50) were not installed properly. Try to install both of them again and use repair option form start menu>eagle dynamics. I would also recomend renaming your DCS folder in your Saved Games (i just deleted it before installing 1.2.1 but you will loose your log after that). If that doesn't help try to reinstall DCS World and all modules. Here is a thread on similar topic: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=95249
