    If you use radar and DL properly you can see who is there just can't shoot until the nose is around. Sure HMDS (as Chinese call their helmet) allows you to turn and look but without weapons that can take advantage of it uses are not that great. PAF will likely not implement on BLK I/IIs until fitted with PL-10 and Deka will not add until PAF has done so. Right now, HMDS is only on JF-17C BLK III and J-10CE. Here are some images of HMDS on a PAF J-10CE pilot, ignore white lines it is screen capture.

    J-10B/C use a different type of intake called DSI which is why it looks different.

    It seems JF-17 blk I/IIs being semi upgraded to blk III standard is very very likely to begin in near future. Namely the HMD/PL-10 and KLJ-7A, WS-13E maybe. Can devs comment if they have info on any of these systems/weapons.

    Those would be easiest HMD/PL-10 and then the WS-13E. Provisions are there for a HMD in the plane already as you can see above in this thread I believe, and as mentioned Deka has stated openness to adding the new engine

    iirc hardpoint on block iii may require some reinforcing not found on our blk i/ii, best bet in terms of blk iii features are engine, HMD, PL-10.

    ((From JF HMD topic)) JF-17C shares most weapons with 10CE, similar HUD, DL and such. Bigger differences would be some avionics, IRST, WS-10B, FBW and similarities with 10C at home.

    CE has downgraded avionics but yes more advanced than JF. Idk if this is right topic for this discussion though. Perhaps you are right about our JF getting upgrades, Deka alr confirmed WS and PAF confirmed all JFs will go to BLK II standard and IIs already in line to receive some III features.

    Hmm, I don't mean this to sound rude, but can you show proof on this, would be interesting if so. Would help with SA, probably more with SD-10 than PL-5. I do believe though that by the time we get access to all these blk III type features J-10CE may be possible. I am rather obsessed, however. Which HMD I wonder.
