i noticed something very strange on all Flankers the can´t even pull 9 G turns at max something like 7.6- 7.9 G and and it doesn't matter without or with full weapons on the pylons. i only can achieve the 9 G with the ACS or Override control stick limitation button and that brakes the wings instand that seems odd to me that the flanker can´t pull 9G in a high speed turn and the F-15 for example can well exceed the 9Gs without a problem Flanker not even 9 G turn.trk F15 easy 9.5 G till blackout.trk Flanker high G turn.acmi

We have SuperCarrier module for like 4 years but sadly we still dont have cross platform capability between Nimitz and Kuznetsov class carriers. I mean, of course an Su-33 never landed to any western made carrier and same for Tomcat/Hornet. But its also same for Mi-24. Afaik no Mi-24 landed any western carrier/amphibious ship; but we can operate Hind from any ship safely in DCS. Same should be for naval fighters. I watched Spud's Kuznetsov video and applied same codding stuff to my own. I never experienced this much of fun before. STOBAR Ops with Hornet is a thing that every Hornet user should experience. But the thing is, why would we constantly forced to edit some lua files just because Kuznetsov with Hornet doesnt pass integrity check. Why shouldnt it be official thing to use. Why cant we also use jet blast deflectors and brake thingy with Hornet which is works with Su-33 when you press "U". "It wouldnt be realistic" cool, dont use it then. No one also forces you to take off from Tarawa with Hind :d. I guess so much people would think same with me. It wouldnt effect badly our gameplay experience. Instead, it would give us Stobar ops capability for more naval aircraft modules. Please ED, send some Hornet to Kuznetsov's deck

Thought I'd make a thread for pics/discussion since this is chinese aviation dev area. I'll start it off. Some hot J-16 images along with WS-10 closeups. Pre paint J-16. PL-10 seeker cooling nitrogen being put into J-16 wingtip pylon. J-16 with targeting pod (K/JDC03A) (top) and FLIR pylon (CHW-13/YINGS II) (bottom). And last but not least for now, a J-15D in testing.

This bug is related to the bug with flanker DL, introduced with MT introduction. All airports disappear and even cycling through the selected airport does not help. The wing vapor effect is completely absent on the Su-27/33...you can pull as many high G´s as you you wish there s no effect on the aircraft. Also the vapor effect on Flankers are wrong that they have no vapors on the wing/airframe edge like on the pictures. Only on the J-11A module are visible vapor effects but none also at the wing/airframe edge.

This is a pretty short page but anyone have any clue if ED or the other developers are ever going to add later Flanker models? i would love to see some thrust vectoring Flankers in the game

Like the Title says the HUDs of FC3 aircraft are blurry and ivery hard visible when the new DLSS/DLAA is turned on blurry HUD on FC3 aircraft.trk

Occasionally I get RWR missile warnings while parked on the airport or taxing at low speed toward the runway. This can be observed 2 times in the past 5 mins of this track. Note: i spent most of the time watching the Mig-21 pilot flying, before I turned my engines on. Hey, I wanted to download a flanker skin but couldn't find a folder with its name, unlike for the hornet. I searched on google but couldn't find any relevant informations. The folders I am talking about are located in Saved Games\DCS World OpenBeta\CoreMods\aircraft The skins I put in the FA-18C folder work fine so I assume it is the right place...

Hi, I had a little challenge here. Was trying to recreate the P-42 record in climb that was set on March 20, 1987 committed on heavily modified Su-27 flanker and has set the score of roughly 55secs. The weight of the empty aircraft (without fuel and pilot) was 14,100 kg. The engine thrust increased from 12 500 to 13 600 kgf. Some parts removed and replaced by appropriate parts to achieve best starting position. My setup included civilian Su-27 with total wight (ME calculated) of 17344kg with 1% of unlimited fuel meaning no extra fuel is carried. I was not able to remove pylons as there's no such options plausible in DCS Flanker right now what actually increased wetted/projected area by some 5% rude estimation. What I can do is reduce weight of fuel drastically to emulate weight loss to match the criteria of record plane which can also help to compensate increased thrust done on original test bed by 2.2t(2x1100kgf). For reference Su27 empty weight is set as 16,380kg by external source so the DCS ME(17250kg) difference in ~1 tone is not understood if you take the weight of pilot and accessories that would otherwise be included in weight estimation. So the result was that it took me more than 2 minutes to reach 12km in comparison to P-42 55secs never reaching supersonic climb as on record breaking plane. What do you think? For some reason the Flanker buffets at 15° AoA at high altitude (around 12km), but does not when the same AoA is attained near sea level. As if some different physic are at play at higher altitudes, even though the angle of attack as well as the indicated air speed are (roughly) the same.Tracks in the attachment.
