Will there be any updates to Nedava ?
Goetsch replied to Raviar's topic in DCS: Nevada Test and Training Range
I really hope the Nevada map can be upgraded to the current production standards. Before the release of the Syria map, Nevada was the place I played the most in DCS. Its mountainous terrain is incredibly diverse, and just the Red Flag exercise alone offers enough content to experience almost everything in the game, except carrier operations. -
use wish list for desired features DCS: Balkans Updates

I just hope the effect will be similar to the Afghanistan map, using helicopters wouldn’t be bad either. Mainly, I don’t like the purely modeled style of Syria or Germany. Although they look impressive, they lack a sense of realism. -
I think the release timing of the Sinai map was really lucky. I remember that shortly after it came out, war broke out in the Gaza Strip, and during that time, my friends and I were closely following the news, carrying out similar operations almost every week to bombard Gaza... If my words accidentally offended anyone, I apologize. My friends and I are just looking for game ideas. I feel the same way as you. Most of the modeling of the Sinai Peninsula was AI-generated, making the cities feel lifeless. Even after the recent major update, it’s still not ideal. A large part of the Sinai and Syria maps overlap, and even in the peripheral areas, the Syria map is clearly better made. I’m really looking forward to the Balkans map. It’s the area I fly in most often in BMS, and I can only hope that the Balkans won’t be made the same way as the Sinai.

Wow, that looks awesome! The mountain detail is super similar to the Afghanistan map. I’m a big fan of maps that use satellite imagery, they just look so real. -
Perhaps everyone has overlooked one way a free game can make money...paid DLC. If you compare DCS with almost any other flight simulator, DCS is definitely the cheaper one overall… The money you spend on one DCS map is only enough to buy a single airport in something like MSFS. I believe those who are interested will buy it, but I also don’t like the World War II bundle format — it ends up preventing people who don’t have it from joining missions. This might be good — it’s somewhat similar to the approach used for the F-5E.

I often create my own missions and operate multiple servers, and I think there should be more AI assets available — even if they’re paid. Right now, many scenarios lack appropriate AI assets, and I’m not a fan of installing mods, especially since they can sometimes prevent players without those mods from joining modded multiplayer servers. More urgently, many outdated models in DCS still need to be updated — for example, the C-17 and MH-60. ED’s move to bring more community-made modules, such as the CH and M92, into the core game is a huge boost for multiplayer mission creators. I think expanding this approach even further would benefit the whole community.

Besides this post, are there any links with updates on the T45 development progress?

Great, I love the update.

I once suspected that my CPU was faulty...LoL

Ultra 285K / 256G RAM / RTX 5090 / PCIe 5.0 SSD / Win11 I had been experiencing exactly the same problem as you. You can try, after launching DCS, going into Task Manager and disabling CPU-8 for DCS.exe (If there’s no CPU-8, try disabling the foremost E-core that has the highest resource usage) This should work well to resolve the issue. At least in my case, doing so effectively solved those strange “Not Responding” problems.

We will hopefully be able to experience it this month, which is great news!

Gosh, I'll try “LShift U” tonight. I think that's why, I remembered that I set this button years ago for the F18 but not for the F14, so my “\” salute is not valid!

Sorry English is not my first language, catapult should be accurate.
-
Okay, I'll reconstruct the case later, in the Caucasus map, thank you very much for your help. I just can't activate the ground crew at the parking spot to guide me TAXI to the catapult, when I birth directly from the catapult it is possible to eject, I just can't get into the catapult. I can activate ejection for takeoff by saluting, but I can't activate TAXI by saluting. Everything works fine for me in the F18, but I can't taxi in the F14.

Here's my test F14 supercarrier test.miz

Okay, I will share it in the post later, Thank you.

My current situation is such that I've put F18s and F14s on the supercarrier, both born from a parking space, but only the F18s can trigger deck guidance from the ground crew by saluting. Does the F14 need to have any specific settings in the mission?

In an update a while back ED added the ability for the supercarriers to have ground crew guide you to the catapults. However, after that update F14 will not be able to access the catapults with a birth from a parking spot, saluting the ground crew on the F14 is not effective, they will not guide you, and the only way to catapult is to birth the F14 directly to the catapults. Is this issue a long standing bug at the moment or is there some setting that I am not aware of that needs to be changed?
