  1. I found that even my A10 airman ship improved after getting to grips with the Huey.
  2. I invited a friend over to show-off my skills. To my surprise, he was able to consistently repeat running landings at high speeds on all kinds of surfaces-- and there I was wrestling the beast into a hover or trying my best to. Are running landings too easy in the sim?
  3. As thick said, uncheck full screen in the DCS Options main screen.
  4. Just a thought sort of related, with these ultr realistic missions, keeps us FPS challenged fols in mind. Busy airbases look great but kill immersion when FPS is down.
  5. For those who would know, is the start up sequence as in real world? Thought I saw a guy flipping more switches in an online vid.
  6. Great demo of this incredible FM's performance.
  7. Having spent some time with this, I can say that this is the best feeling of 'flight' in 30 years of Sim-ing. Awesome job Belsimtek!
  8. Yup-feels great. Thanks!
  9. This is great-many thanks.
  10. Good on you Leafer.
  11. VVe6mtZb7u0 Now where's that vid of the Mi-8 sim pilot trimming like a champ? Edit: l43L8yZcYWY
  12. Good to know you are in on the ground floor . Dishonored and HL2: http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2013-05-11-half-life-2-gets-official-oculus-rift-support
  13. Check to see if axis has been assigned to other controllers or mfds.
  14. Guillotine sim lol http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2013-05-07-oh-the-things-oculus-rift-can-do-today-guillotine-simulation
  15. In terms of feeling of flight, this the best Module or even sim I've experienced.
  16. Anybody taken out the big spring from the WH joystick for a while now? Do you prefer it that way, has it resulted in more wear and tear? Thanks

    control tips

This helped me: if you have a self-centering stick (not force feedback) check the center trimmer option in Options - Special (just remember you have to re-center stick to regain control after trimming). Set up a mission at an airport which gives you good FPS. Pull on collective until you get light on the skids. Input rudder and cyclic commands to keep the Huey in the same place on the ground. Trim. Then try hovering. I'm sure the FM is going to continue to be refined. If you have the Huey under decent control now, it's only going to get easier.
  18. Wot a joy! Thanks Belsimtek. Plus a great way to explore the DCS world. My thoughts as well. The Uber NXT really allows for precise control and cuts down on the squirrelly-ness. I can approximate that with the Warthog by taking out the curves and dead zones, but it takes a lot more muscle power to fly. Too bad my set-up has the NXT as a side-stick :(, but no biggie. I'm sure the FM is only going to go from strength to strength. I'm loving the whole module setup as well-ED did a great job making setup and operation a breeze.
  19. Give us folks stuck at work some crumbs.
