Here is the mig-29 file naming convention.
The numbers at the end of the filename usually mean the position of the skin in the drop down box when you select it in the mission editor.
Hi CJ, thanks for the compliment. When I say replaces I mean in terms of appearance in the game and not over writing any default mig texture files. There should not be any default mig skins in temptextures from DCSW. Any Mig texture you put in temptextures is read/loaded first by DCSW over the default skin.
Also you cannot have your own skin titles for the mig textures as you see in my 1st post, you have to use the same existing naming convention since you will not be using a description.lua file.
For a test rename your Mig skin textures in temptextures to
MIG-29C-PAINT-def-l3.bmp.dds
MIG-29C-PAINT-def-r3.bmp .dds
and check in the game or modelviewer under Mig-29S 115th Guards regiment Termez AB
The skins of the mig-29 go to \Bazar\temptextures. It replaces certain existing ones depending on the naming convention and it does not use a description.lua file.
It can be made to have it's own slot but that's a little complicated and don't know if it works in DCSW like it did in FC2
This one replaces the 3rd of 4th slot on the russian side.

Complete new experience flying the Huey VS the Ka-50. My first impressions was to acknowledge the fact that I did not know how to handle a traditional chopper and it was back to training from scratch. After watching the tutorials I started getting a grasp. It's nothing like the Shark, not even close. I love it and I'm glad that I got it. Actually it feels like the P-51 of the Helo world.
Here it is.... There is nothing wrong with the skin.

AFAIK Mustang had a temp fix for this !!! I should bug him (No pun intended)
Flanker is correct it's a bug.
I reported this game bug since 1.2.2 and earlier. Also affects the pylons and the bort number. On this skin the bort number is solid and when you zoom out it defaults to skin #1 along with the air brakes and weapon pylons.
