Qeshm Island airport issue, Floating whitelines
Tom P replied to skywalker22's topic in Bugs and Problems
This was reported in 2022 and is still a thing. What's the hold up, It's not like there is that much on PG or at Qeshm's airfield. It's not a game breaker or anything but still it's been 489 days since first reported, and 170 days since a fix is on the way. -
Don't worry it will only be 5 years till we see something.

Would be nice to give the ground troops a new anti-tank weapon. Currently it's just the RPG and most of the time the vehicle has to be almost in the RPG's face to be effective in the game. This would give the infantry troops a better tactical advantage compared to the RPG. It would give them a much greater engagement range and and effects on a target. I don't think it would be hard to implement and it would be a sweet Combined Arms selling point. Even if you made it call of duty style clu tracking gates

Thanks! Kiss (keep it simple stupid) method for the win!

Greetings, Currently the 64 in mission editor has no waypoint properties or navigation target fix points. This is already implemented in the game with the some modules like the A-10CII, AV-8B, F-15E, F-14A/B, M2k, JF-17. With a platform such as the 64 this should 100% be a thing so the mission maker can set up a route plan. For example if you're flying to recon/contact and you have waypoint 3 set up to be a possible enemy ADU or whatever, it's already set up because the mission maker was able to place that in the the mission editor. Yes you can do this when flying by manually entering points into the TSD. But it would be nice to be able to already have the data already there like plugging in a preplanned DTC.

Should've been a IRL cool guy fighter pilot than.

Shouldn't be a hard thing to do. Razbam made it happen within 1 patch window.

Hello. I posted this in the mission section but figured I would post it here at well. I made a mission with 12 ranges in it to help those that want to learn the systems. (Navigation, radios, weapons etc)

Can we please have more training missions - Esp Apache

The issue is this. "Veterans" of DCS think the SAMs can be easy. While on the other side ED has users saying that the SAMs are to difficult. There has to be a balance for the player base so people keep playing. In reality if you want "realistic" SAMs you're probably not going to make it back, unless you want some early Vietnam SA-2s

No problem! Let me know if you have any issues

Greetings Pilots! This is an AH-64D Apache Course is a simple but effective training mission that you can use to practice and improve your craft from being a "Zero" to a "Hero" on the digital battlefield. - There is no scripts so you never have to update anything. - Aircraft are set up so you can multicrew with a buddy if you want. - All aircraft are hot start, minus range 12. - Simple & Effective kneeboards - The mission is set up in 12 different ranges, each range has its own spawn. So if you want to do range 1, select the range 1 spawn. If you don't know how to do something check the kneeboard for the range you're on. - Each range you spawn into will give you a quick brief from range control. For example if you spawn on range 7, you'll be prompt to switch to the front seat and have George hover you at an altitude of 150ft. ——— RANGES ——— 1: Navigation Basic - Work your way through 5 waypoints that are pre-loaded into your TSD. 2: Navigation Advanced - Enter the given waypoints into your TSD and fly the route. 3: Landing & Hovering - Practice your landing and hovering, also has an obstacle course 4: Hellfires - Practice using the hellfire missiles from the CPG seat 5: IHADDS Rocket Range - Practice using the rockets with your IHADDS 6: Rockets Long Range - Practice long range rocket engagements from the CPG seat 7: IHADDS Gun Range - Practice using the gun while slaved to your IHADDS. 8: Guns Long Range - Practice long range engagements with the gun from the CPG seat 9: Positive Identification Range - Practice PID against similar looking vehicles. 10: Boats: This is your deck landing qualification (DLQ) Range. 11: Barrier Shooting: Fly behind cover & concealment and engage the enemy 12: Radios: Learn how to set up radio freqs If you're still learning the basics of flying the AH-64D Apache and want to continue using this mission, I highly suggest going to range 3: Landing & Hovering and follow BradMick's "AH-64D Flight lessons" playlist on youtube. —————————————————— - Check your kneeboard! - If you want to do a different range, go back to spectators and select a new range. - If you want to redo a range, restart the mission, and go back to the range. Made by: Tom P !!IF YOU HAVE ANY ISSUES PLEASE LET ME KNOW!! Once downloaded. DCS Drive(whatever drive your DCS is on) > Saved Games > DCS > Missions. And place my mission in there. Open DCS and select mission and play it. Enjoy Apache Course v2.miz *Edit* Had to readd the mission file

fixed KS-19s need to chill out.
Tom P replied to Tom P's topic in Ground AI Bugs (Non-Combined Arms)
Hey @Flappie was the AI tracking fixed in the new 2.9.3.51704 patch? I didn't see it mentioned but I know some stuff doesn't make the list. -
Each aircraft has a different size hit box so you really don't touch but you can see it happen and then bad things happen if you stay there to long haha. I did this recently and stuck my nose between the engines and watch the rear control surfaces freak out so I backed off. null

Took off from the Tarawa and was greeted by my friend the KS19.. Lovely haha. First reported by someone on the forum 47 days ago. -
reported earlier INU drift and Lima tracking bug
Tom P replied to 84-Simba's topic in Bugs and Problems
"Early Access" What's the range your engaging from? I find short range engagements (under 3k) with the L model hellfire is almost pointless. -
Didn't see it on the road map and obviously not a high priority but will the 64 displays be lit up from external view in the future? For example is the F/A-18 and the F-15E. And then the 64. Not a game breaker obviously, just curious.

The file is larger than 50mb I can't attach it. -
Noticed that when giving George the greenlight to engage targets with the gun he will do so when within a certain range but it's still outside the max effective range of the gun to which the rounds magically go away. Obviously he still says he can't shoot because of the distance to target for example he wont shoot if your 4k away. But when he does engage he still shoots when the distance is to far that the bullets just vanish. null
