Not sure if this is even possible as of right now but: Working arresting systems for major airfields, such as the BAK-12 or -14? Those would really improve the immersion to be able to land with brake/hydraulics or similar malfunctions. There are (in Germany, for what I know) up to 4 arresting wires placed along the runway. Two approach end, and two departure end cables. The first two cables are for the opposite direction, the last two cables for the current runway in use. If there is an aircraft in need to make an arrested landing, the tower would get the information in advance and inform the fire department for them to change the second approach cable for the runway in use as it is set up for the opposite direction - meanwhile in DCS you could simply add the possibility to add your own arrestment cables however you like to give the user more room of decision. Additionally, they could be used bidirectional, so the need to create a logic for setting it up to work for the correct direction doesn't really matter. Departing traffic needing to abort, simply lower down their hook and get caught by the first or last departure end cable. https://www.faa.gov/documentLibrary/media/Advisory_Circular/AC_150_5220_9B_aircraft_arresting_system.pdf

Kuezy started following Live/METAR based weather and Handsignal emotes!!
-
What about hand signals for your AI or multiplayer wingman, something like an emote wheel or just by keybinds from the settings. Player wingman then receives the option to acknowledge it by nodding or something else which is appropiate. These handsignals could be, but are not limited to: Battle damage check Change lead Loose formation Extend/retract speed break Start takeoff roll and more! I would really wish for a feature to utilize live weather at certain airports during the mission and if not available, use the weather of the nearest airport. Also, I would appreciate inserting weather for a certain aerodrome based off of a METAR code.

Well, that is what I did, waited for the Patriots to take them down while orbiting. Then the story continued, telling me to push to TAC 1 on AUX and CHAINSAW on PRI and nothing happened after switching correctly. After realizing that it is too quiet I checked the preset for CHAINSAW on my UFC and the channels list on the kneeboard, turns out the preset CH10 was tuned to 321.5 but the Kneeboard said something else. Eventually, I had to RTB shortly after reaching joker fuel, thus letting me not finish the mission completely.

11/15/2022 - Recruitment Letter Push - Current State: Recruitment open!
-
Hi flycats2 and thank you for your interest in our squadron. Our squadron events/missions are conducted on a weekly basis on Wednesdays (for training & exercises) and Fridays/Saturdays (for missions/deployments) (1900 Zulu). The flown missions are created in-house, but we also do fly DCS Liberation missions, which are also fun too! The next 'big' event is our deployment to the Levantine Sea (Syria) starting on the 7th of January 2023 where we will be practicing all sorts of ACM maneuvering, intercept practice and more. After that, a bigger deployment is planned where the missions are created by ourselves. If you have any questions, I'd be happy to help you. Kind regards Sven | [F/A-18C] Kuezy “Bolter”
