This will make some of the campaign servers much more engaging after the first 3-4 weeks of a campaign. Will any of these quality/variance simulations be applied to the weapons? There have been a lot of discussions in these forums about the Vietnam AIM-7 and its rough handling leading to lackluster performance. Would make things a lot more exciting if your AGM-12 blew up 20 ft in front of the plane because the motor exploded.

After looking at the Wear and Tear aspects, I'm wondering if when we get a Vietnam Phantom the AIM-7s will behave like real life with inconsistent motors and seekers due to rough maintenance and other external factors.

Is someone going to pull out all the Liveries we saw in the trailer? Would be cool to know which ones we just saw.

I am not complaining about the enthusiasm or the civility (you are right, by forum standards this has been calm) . Rather, the constant rehashing of what the different Mig-23 variants may or may not be capable of. The whole "on paper vs IRL" thing is a bit frustrating when our sim version will probably land somewhere in the middle of the two and we wont know for a few years. I'd much rather we be constantly fighting about how capable/Incapable the AIM-4 was. Or the employment envelopes of the AIM-7. etc. etc. etc.

Exactly. I just hope mods like that make their way onto fun servers. We are so close to a full set of planes for a "war of attrition/Yom Kippur" scenario

I'd like to think that the modding community would take care of those off the basic F-4E. Which would make HB starting with the F-4E the smartest choice they could have made. There will always be a moder who thinks the AUP, terminator, or EJ was the coolest and is willing to spend hours to modify our F-4E. I would be nice if those community mods could be incorporated but not too much of a concern.

I mean whoever made that graphic didnt try very hard, apparently the F-4C used the AIM-9 Sparrow and the AIM-9 Sidewinder. There is also 20mm gun kills under the F-4D, F-105F, and F-4D/F-105F.

I could see the announcement, followed by 3-4 weeks of videos on the Pits, radar, A/A & A/G then a release within a month of that announcement. And I'll bet we are getting very close to those first tours of our new office.

If i remember right the "Shingles" also have bleed air flowing over them on the inside of the structure, the exit for the bleed air is around the drag cute and the extreme end of the Jet. This creates that awesome detail where the back end of the F-4 looks like it is smiling.
