  1. Pilotasso, you`d be to busy watching the D-link and properly functioning NAV:) , checking heck-times and before you know it - feet dry:helpsmilie: Also, FPS over water!:) - especially when flying in large strike groups and complex flight deck ops... I would even tolerate some of these Turkeys flying... recon, with their TARPS and stuff:D
  2. Hehe, I think you`re getting a little ahead of yourself:smartass: ... Now, former terrorists as mercs? - Yes, former and current ones are being used as... snitches. The "terminal" part is being done by the troops, with joy:) Crusty out...
  3. Man, these 2 guys have "patience" (and time) to go on like this.
  4. That is funny... Now, all this efficiency/common sense/future of the planet stuff... is nice... to talk about. For a simple knuckle-dragger that likes to go off-road once in a while and happens to know someone that owns a Hummer (H2) just for that purpose and when I and few other friends do go off-road, we usually take a nice .50 Barret with us (jk) Yes, I`m one of those that refuse to "grow up" and when kids like me get hold of some cash!:D  ... When the time comes... I`ll be happy to drive an anti-matter fuelled Hummer, if I`m still around... and there`s any cash left:noexpression:
  5. Downloading, thanks for the heads up.
  6. LOL, whenever someone mentions Lada, it reminds me of a story that ForceFeedback came up with a while back... F***! I was laughing my ass off. C`mon Force tell`em about Lada (the ECM edition)
  7. Long time ago... beyond seven seas and seven mountains... Basically, I was just mopin around Eglin and Hurlburt and... aligator farm at Ft Rudder (doing nothing:D )
  8. Yes... I did drive "utility" when my sig could have been the same as yours... Now, it`s time for toys:D ... I`m perfectly satisfied with my vehicle: fine Bavarian 530xi (2006), but... the "manhood" thing kicked in. So, for the next year I`m looking at M5:P (the speed limiter chip will be removed!!!:music_whistling: )
  9. LOL, yep - sometimes it looks like the tanker driver is trying to help you, adjusting to your speed then other times...:joystick: Especially when you join up at the end of his (her:D ) orbit leg and he turns (like a fighter) then goes past his rollout heading and corrects... At times, I try to persuade him to behave with few rounds.
  10. Here it comes... barrage of questions for Rhen. Here`s mine: Has anybody ever used that little "Max power" switch in an Eagle? (IRL)
  11. Above that, Force - the first line. I guess the letters NKVD don`t impress anybody anymore, especially youngsters...
  12. I wanna know what kinda vintage was in that bottle, lol Am I reading the label correctly? - " NKVD technical dept. " I could swear at least one of those scientists was from "the enforcement dept."
  13. Good link Crusty, I found it on FO forum and... "The rocket scientist" is already fed up with me:P I`ve never done any "test" flying in a Frog. Not my cup of tea. I did fly it quite a few times just to get familiar with weapon systems. The landing approaches were... pretty much what I expected them to be. Hell, I deviated from the SOPs and haven`t used the chute on most of my rolls. Never ended up in the overrun and never blew a tire... yet. So, now that we know that I`m the best pilot there is... Capttrob, you wrote few pages back that you had a ex-Marine flying FC (Frog?) and he left laughing... It`s funny coz... recently I saw Hornet driver (also a Jarhead) doing some FC flying. Well, he has it`s own copy of FC so it wasn`t the first time he did that. He flew the Mig and the Eagle. As he was doing some FCLPs at Sochi (hehe) in an Eagle he was smirking at the AOA. He was landing it at exactly the same AOA as in Hornet. A dragged in approach and no flare... and he liked it:noexpression: (he`s a Jarhead) - I hope he`s not reading it right now... Back to Frogs:doh:
  14. We`re not talking "regularly scheduled" training flights here but an alert aircraft in the coastal areas - just in case something popped up in the ADIZ.
  15. Thanks for helpfull hint, Shepski
  16. Little OT: ... Kenan v 1.3?, Kenan, have you been reprogrammed, and... beta tested? ha?
  17. LOL, that guy is something else...
  18. Tac nukes vs. Raptors, hmmm I think the scenario would be slightly different...
  19. I didn`t play with tracks that much but whenever I did, it always seemed identical to the original event... provided I used "show replays" for playing them, not "open" button.
  20. GGT is right - it is a snapshot. They`re both pulling into each other with the Hornet on the inside. The piper is on the target and the trigger is squeezed, and... it would nice to see the video. How many miliseconds the pipper covered the target. Yes, it does look like the Raptor collected some rounds... maybe even through the canopy (the real kill:D ) but it certainly was not a tracking shot... and, we don`t know if the Raptor`s pilot lost the sight... whatever.
  21. I didn`t say it was wrong:) - just said wow! They`re both at 15k and they`re both pulling toward each other; Hornet on the inside
  22. I noticed something interesting: The Hornet`s KIAS is little over 180... but the Vc (closure rate is 210!) - wow!
  23. I`m not a rotorhead but all this is geeting interesting. Why don`t you guys include one of these manuals with BS (on CD in PDF), I mean a "sanitized" version:)
  24. ...not if you don`t see this little "circle" coming up in your HUD (after launch)
