It'd be an incredibly amazing feature that'd add immersion to things like the AH-64D and such. I would like to know if there's any plans on adding it to DCS World; and if so, do you know when it may come? And let me know your thoughts on this! Do you think it might lag the game? Will it make using Cannons on AH-64D more enjoyable?

Ah I see. So during that sortie in the real picture, the A-10 flight happened to go outside of the loaded map? -

I just noticed that NODTS/B1 comes when you turn off the CICU switch. But both MFDS turn off when this happens. Maybe that A-10 in the first screenshot had his CICU system damaged? 2023-08-11 01-45-10.mp4 -
When disabling DTSAS, I believe the DTSAS indicator on the hud is supposed to say NODTS/B1 as it has been shown in Afghanistan A-10C footage. Here's an example of what it looks like in the video: And here's what it looks like in DCS: And in another A-10C video in afghanistan shows the aircraft using DTS: I'm not sure if I'm wrong and it's supposed to do that. But it'd be nice if anyone could elaborate on this.

A lot of videos of combat FLIR footage shows a bunch of little white spots shoot out every direction like a firework. I believe these are shrapnel from the rounds impacting. It'd be a really awesome and nice feature to add especially since it just looks weird when you see infantry drop to the ground from a HE round hitting next to it with no visual effects. Here are some videos that contain them, (WARNING SOME CAN BE GRAPHICAL):

Turns out the Updater for DCS open beta that I've installed was actually a bit older than the current one! Here's the link to the most recent one for anyone who may encounter this error: https://updates.digitalcombatsimulator.com

I've recently reset my laptop. Drivers are all working fine, and I was able to install other programs. However, once I attempted to install DCS World Open Beta; I got a Timeout Reached warning. Here's the log: 00000.105 --- Log file: C:\Users\hgsz4\AppData\Local\Temp\DCS.openbeta\autoupdate_templog.txt 00000.000 === Log opened UTC 2023-04-29 20:26:49 00000.020 INFO : DCS_Updater/2.16.2.17 (Windows NT 10.0.19045; Win64; en-US) 00000.020 INFO : src-id: 5972e82a1851d36865c17506579c27cbd5b8e3b4, lib-id: b88ea51ae2210987a3865f77cc1802548216d7a8 00000.020 INFO : cmdline: "C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World OpenBeta\bin\DCS_updater.exe" update 00000.102 STATUS: Initializing... 00000.104 INFO : basedir: C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World OpenBeta 00000.104 INFO : variant: openbeta 00000.105 INFO : DCS/ (x86_64; EN; WORLD,CAUCASUS_terrain) 00000.105 INFO : branch: openbeta 00000.106 STATUS: Checking for updates... 00000.706 INFO : Got reply from www.digitalcombatsimulator.com 00021.745 ERROR: Conection to server 'www.digitalcombatsimulator.com' failed: Timeout was reached 00021.745 ERROR: www.digitalcombatsimulator.com replied HTTP -1 00021.749 STATUS: Timeout was reached 00046.589 === Log closed.

With Multi-Threading thriving in the DCS World community, I think it's time to atleast allow the rounds to be non-transparent. Because there are multiple TGP FLIR videos on youtube where you can clearly see the rounds impacting a target. Here is some FLIR videos from the SNIPER + LITENING targetting pod: 3:06: firing TP rounds at a container. Most likely combat footage from Afghanistan, seems to be using PGU-13/B High Explosive Incendiary shells from the effects in the video.

Ground units too accurate vs air targets

Hahahaha, that's my point!
