  1. Yes, I noticed that, which is why I asked for the code that you used. I have already implemented Moose CSAR into our current server missions but I had hoped to learn more about having spawned infantry near downed pilots. Thanks though.
  2. @leonardo_ccan you share with me your lua code for infantry around the dropped pilot for CSAR?
  3. We added the Hind to our Cold War 1973-1977 server missions and would like to get some feedback from Hind pilots. What is working and what would you like to see in the mission?
  4. We have added a second mission to the server: Extended Vietnam 21 September 1975 What if China joined forces with North Vietnam and pushed US/NATO forces out of southeast Asia? This mission is an attempt to stem the tide of PLA/NVA forces as they flood ever closer to Australia. Saipan has fallen, can we retake it? (Dramatic music in the background) Attempt to retake the island of Rota from PLA/NVA forces. Airframes available: Viggen, Tomcat, Sabre, Mig-21, Mig-19, Huey, Hind, Mi-8, Gazelle, F-5 Tiger II.
  5. For PvE what plane/era are you looking for?
  6. Due to issues with both mission editing and player behavior the F-104 has been removed. We hope to bring it back as soon as the current "OH SHINY" dies down.
  7. I was responding to another post above mine in that they hoped this bug fix would also fix the "No cockpit sound" bug. And I am surprised that you have not heard of it, you posted in that bug thread on September 5th. Thanks for trying to help out though.
  8. One of our pilots lost sound last night so...not fixed by the sound position update.
  9. Darn @streakeagle you are famous
  10. One of the pilots that has been using the server today posted this in our discord. It is an awesome screenshot: Thanks @janitha2
  11. We have added the VSN F-104 Starfighter mod to the server. YOU DO NOT NEED THE MOD TO USE THE SERVER You will just see another F-15 flying around. The server has had a very busy day with no complains or bugs popping up. The Forgotten thank everyone who has posted kind comments to our discord.
  12. The Early Cold War PvE Servers host servers for The Korean War, The Vietnam War and The Cold War 1973-1977. We concentrate on the jets with analog gauges. Our servers are commercially hosted and run 24/7. They run the current open beta version. SrS is available for all servers. Mission tasking and smoke on target is available via the comms F10 menu The current mission on 73-77 server is running the F-104 mod. Thank you @PeeJott17for your aid in setting up our mission for use with this mod. Join our discord to discuss the mission as well as to use comms to talk to other players. https://discord.gg/cM4N2nCe5q
  13. After a bumpy start we think we have the rubber banding issue fixed. Thanks to everyone that tested and reported on our discord.
  14. We run into that issue also, I will try to remember to grab a track file next time.
  15. The Early Cold War Servers are pleased to announce the creation of a new public PvE server: The Cold War 1973-1977. Although not exactly early cold war the period between 1973 and 1977 is under represented in the server world for PvE. This server will host a series of "What If" missions that will showcase the jets from the Analog gauge era. Missions rotate every four hours of in game time, so if it is not populated the server will not rotate -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Georgian Revolution 1977 What if Georgia succeeded from the Soviet Union in 1977? This scenario allows us to fly Soviet jets as well as NATO and UN jets. F-86 Sabre Mig-19 Mig-21 F-5 Tiger II F-14A-135-GR Tomcat (weapons restricted) AJS 37 Viggen (weapons restricted)) C-101 Aviojet (For target spotting and smoke on target) Flaming Cliffs 3 pilots will be pleased to know that we included the F-15 (weapons restricted) A10-A (weapons restricted) Helicopter fans are not left out. We have CSAR and CTLD for: SA342 Gazelle UH-1H Hueys Mi-8M Mi-24 Hinds The Tomcats have the Super Carrier USS Nimitz and ground bases to fly from. This is a what if server so we have taken liberties which deviate from reality. We will not be hosting missions with the fourth generation jets and no weapons newer than those found in 1977. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Extended Vietnam 21 September 1975 What if China joined forces with North Vietnam and pushed US/NATO forces out of southeast Asia? This mission is an attempt to stem the tide of PLA/NVA forces as they flood ever closer to Australia. Saipan has fallen, can we retake it? (Dramatic music in the background) Attempt to retake the island of Rota from PLA/NVA forces. Airframes available: Viggen, Tomcat, Sabre, Mig-21, Mig-19, Huey, Hind, Mi-8, Gazelle, F-5 Tiger II. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Custom labels are available, they fade from a distance to middle distance, dots only. Like our other two servers, The Korean War PvE and The Vietnam War PvE The Cold War 1973-1977 is professionally hosted on a modern server infrastructure. Feel free to join our Discord community at https://discord.gg/KvAHmk8HvQ Enjoy the new server.
  16. @xavierbenoit83The Early Cold War servers hosts a weekly co-op with F-5 slots. Anyone is welcome to join in. Our public Vietnam War PvE server is mainly F-5s and A4 Skyhawks. https://discord.gg/C5C3Kw3
  17. @AlpineGTA - Our public server, the one that @2alpha-down0 mentioned, is PvE so lots of ground targets that you can be tasked to via the comms F10 menu. There are also a sky full of Mig-15s to fight against. We make use of MOOSE scripting to make things lively. Additionally, we host group co-ops on Sunday at 19:00 UTC that anyone is welcome to join in on. No need to join a squadron or group. Just check the mission briefing channel in our discord for details. If PvP is more your thing I highly recommend Korea1952 server. They also have a Discord that you can find by searching in the forums. They have special PvP events, squadrons, etc.

  21. Vietnam and/or Korea. Course...I would say that now wouldn't I?
  22. Good mission, nine pilots showed up. I will try to post with a little more notice for the next one
  23. 02 JAN 1952 | 1000 LOCAL REQUIRED WWII Assets Pack SITUATION We've managed to push the North Koreans to within a few miles of their base at Mineralnye Vody. The OCA mission against the airbase earlier was a total success. We just need to keep the pressure on them for a little while longer in order to capture the base. MISSION The Forgotten will conduct DEAD, BAI, and CAS operations in the vicinity of the frontline near Mineralnye Vody airbase in support of advancing ground forces. Ground forces will be attempting a breakthrough to capture the base. ENEMY DISPOSITION The enemy has heavily reinforced Minvody with three large AAA batteries. These are marked as objectives FENNEC, ALLIGATOR, and KOALA. These are primarily heavy AAA batteries, with few light guns. A small contingent of heavy armor provides base security. Earlier strikes have significantly weakened base defenses, and the base’s runway is out of action. Intel suggests that we should have local air superiority, as most, if not all, North Korean aircraft will be stuck on the ground. Enemy sorties based out of Maykop, 130nm away, are possible but unlikely. EXECUTION F-86: Forgotten F-86 flights (callsign GOLD) will depart Mozdok at T+20, climbing to 15,000 feet for cruise direct to Mineralnye Vody (288/70nm). Once at the target area, focus your initial attacks on remaining enemy air defenses. A flight of A-20s will arrive over the base for BAI operations at T+59. Once air defenses are down, you are to expend remaining ordnance on grounded enemy aircraft and base defense forces. F-51: Forgotten F-51 flight (callsign RED) will depart Mozdok at T+15, climbing to 10,000 feet for cruise direct to the frontline (282/64nm). Once at the frontline, conduct CAS operations in direct support of friendly ground forces. Multiple sorties are authorized as long as enemy forces remain in your assigned area of responsibility. RULES OF ENGAGEMENT Positively ID your targets prior to engaging. Friendly forces will be moving aggressively, and may intermingle with enemy units, both on and off the base. Look for small red/blue labels as you get close (or the tracers…) ADMIN Mozdok – Primary – 266/137 Mhz (Sabres Ch14, Mustangs Button B) – ADF 525.000 (DQ) Come join us for a friendly co-op mission. We fly these every other Sunday. The alternate Sundays are Vietnam War custom mission co-op. https://discord.gg/C5C3Kw3
