  1. LeCuvier the Korean War server uses a modified label lua that allows you to see a dot from a distance the color of the dot at medium distance and then no dot at all at close range. Give it a try. We use the same in our weekly co-op flights. You can set this up for single player as well.
  2. This Is Fantastic. I look forward to watching it mature. I am sooo tempted to create a server for this...
  3. This is great! This was exactly what we were looking for on our new Vietnam War server mission.
  4. Bunyap Sims has a very long series on the F-86, a fascinating watch.
  5. Same issue for me, but it started when I upgraded my system. Might be hardware specific so here is my rig: i9-10850 32gb RAM RTX3090 M.2 SSD Next step is a complete uninstall of DCS and start over as I did a repair on the new system to get it up and running without doing a new install. Have not yet tried turning off MSAA but I will tonight.
  6. Have you watched this series? Very well detailed.
  7. Alpenwolf, thanks for bringing this up, it is aggravating. I restrict munitions to be period accurate (ish) and I have to do this over and over again. ED PLEASE look into this.
  8. Yes, three or four times a week.
  9. How about this one?
  10. Don't forget the sound bug. But to be honest this is one of the best modules in DCS. It is a joy to fly, fun to fight in and a great plane for flying with friends.
  11. We have the P-51 in the server as a stand-in for the A-1 Skyraider, I would be willing to place P47s as well. The C101CC is a pretty good stand-in for the A37 Dragonfly the issue with the armament is that the rockets that the C101 is able to use are too new for a 1968 Vietnam mission. I got around this by putting the C101 at two airfields that are not shared by the A-4s and F-5s. And I only allowed HE and smoke rockets. The idea is that the C101, like the A37 Dragonfly, will be used as close air support tasks or general target destruction.
  12. Since early November our Vietnam War mission has been crashing the server. I have rolled back the server mission to one that was in use before the OB update in early November but even those are crashing. The mission is really a mess, some of Surrexen's lua, some that I have edited (and murdered) but it has been working fine up to that point. Here is the mission file (it is not pretty) and the crash dump. If anyone could help I would really appreciate it. dcs.log-20201226-220337.zip Vietnam 10110.miz
  13. Well, it seems to work great. I think we will keep it on our Vietnam War public server. Everyone who is interested in our public server and our weekly co-op missions are welcome to drop into our Discord and say hi. Thanks Koniuka for your help. If anyone else has an idea, tip, or suggestion please chime in on this thread or discord. So far this is an excellent airframe, thanks Aviodev! https://discord.gg/C5C3Kw3
  14. There are a few of us testing, I assigned the C101CC to two air bases and allowed a restricted rocket types and added the gun/cannon pods. This might still work.
  15. Hey Kontiuka, thanks for that. Would that be possible for the Server or just for the Client? Also, would that work to include other weapons for the airframe?
  16. Unfortunately, after some testing it seems that the C101CC is not a good fit for the Vietnam War server. The weapons available are not compatible with the airframe except for MK82s and guns. The server is restricted to weapons that were available in that era.
  17. I put it in the server mission, lets see how it goes. Still need to figure out how to keep it from loading AIM-9s, any suggestions?
  18. What do you all think? I have never flown it but I did buy it today in the DCS Winter Sale. To add more variety to the Vietnam War server I am going to include it as a stand-in for the Cessna A-37 Dragonfly close air support jet. Would this be a good match for the Vietnam War era? Right now the server is mostly A-4 Skyhawks and F-5E-3 Tiger IIs, with a few P-51s as stand ins for the Skyraider (not at all a good match but it is what we have). Need to figure out a way to restrict it so AIM-9s are not able to be mounted though. Any comments? Thanks for your help.
  19. It's a great module, you will like it. 10-12 of us fly Korean War era co-op missions every Sunday. Lot of fun to fly with a good group of friends. There are two Korean War servers, Korea 1952 (PvP) and The Korean War (PvE). It is a very friendly community
  20. The Vietnam War server hosts a group co-op mission every other week on Sundays at 20:00 UTC. You are welcome to join in. If you are not already on the Discord jump in and say hi. The Discord information is in the mission brief on the server. We alternate Vietnam mission with Korean War missions (F-86s)
  21. @Sabre185 there is a process to ordering, you can read about it in the first post under the "How to Order" section.
  22. Mission Briefing for 20:00 UTC Sunday 15 November 2020. And now for something completely different. Due to issues with the latest DCS update we cannot hold our usual Vietnam co-op mission this Sunday. Instead we will have a formation flying session in the F-86 on the Caucuses map. Everyone is welcome to join in. EDIT: Although there is a hotfix that may have fixed the issue with the A-4 not moving for other players we are still going to fly formation anyway.
  23. Mission Brief for 20:00 UTC Sunday 8 November 2020 Syria 28th Aug 1957 --SITUATION-- Turkish ground forces along with other elements of NATO have pushed over the Syrian border and have captured the city of Minakh as well as Minakh air base. Aleppo is the next objective. Our forces are pushing toward the city but have encountered a fierce pocket of resistance along the reservoir north east of the city. We cannot leave these forces behind us; they must be subdued. --MISSION-- Turkish Air Force F-86s out of Hatay air base will carry out close air support for our ground forces. The first objective is to destroy the rocket artillery located north west of the reservoir. These rockets can reach Minakh air base. We will not be able to use resources at that base until those launchers have been knocked out. The second objective is to take out the ground forces located nearby. Great care must be taken as our forces are in close contact with the enemy across the canals south, west and to the south. Be very sure of your targets. Air threat warning from Firefly 131Mzh --ENEMEY DISPOSITION-- There are elements of the SAA 34th, 20th and 77th armored battalions as well as 43rd Regimental artillery in the area. Expect soviet made T-55 tanks, armored personnel carriers, and Grad rocket artillery vehicles. SAA infantry attached to the armored battalions have dug in along the canals protecting the pocket. SAAF units are in low supply, but we do expect some type of action from their remaining Migs as well as attempts at ground attack by SAAF propeller driven fighter/bombers. There is very heavy AAA around Aleppo, avoid that area if possible. --NAVIGATION-- Takeoff is 10:00 from runway 04. On takeoff take a heading of 085 degrees for 50nm. The targets are north east of the reservoir. Minakh is available for refuel rearm once the SAA artillery has been neutralized. ---RULES OF ENGAGEMENT--- All civilian aviation has been grounded in the region so if you see something in the air, shoot it down. There are friendlies danger close to your targets. Once again: Be very careful where you fire your weapons. ---ADMIN--- Strike – Discord Command – 252Mhz SRS
