Today was day 1! Anyone got to go and can share their experience?

Will C-130 be compatable with the new DCS route tool?
GUCCI replied to gdotts's topic in DCS: C-130J
Then its the best of both worlds. those trying to get a quick session on grayflag can appreciate the ease of use w/ the route tool, and those who have a little more time to set things up can appreciate the depth and modularity of setting up their own flight plans. win win for all. -
DCS Paratrooper combined arms update when? Novel idea to spawn as a paratroop in FPS style controls, and climb into any transport aircraft. Or troop entering a heli.. far fetched idea but fun to imagine..
-
The dev team has stated their goal is October, but with any release sometimes it depends on ED so they might not have a 100% accurate date just yet. Hope we get to see more content soon especially in September and October as we get closer

Any news on the A6 AI that was shown off in-game over a year ago?
GUCCI replied to XCNuse's topic in Heatblur Simulations
I know very well the order of modules currently publicly known.. but with the team going back and forth between different projects and sometimes simultaneously working on two different projects concurrently, I just wanted to ask :)) you never know -

hoping for September patch but at this point I should know not to expect it and just be happily surprised when it drops on us... Also, how's that module version of it coming along? I hope we get dev blogs on it sooner rather than later -
Wholeheartedly agree. A fully fleshed out cargo ops > a novelty weapon addition. We already have dozens of modules that can blow things up on the ground, so im not gonna hold my breath if I don't see rapid dragon anytime soon.. take your time team and do the most important bits first
-
many of us who enjoy rotary wing or the A10C already know XD. The C-130J at least will be faster than a fully laden A10C (which is why i prefer opting for more realistic and lighter loadouts in the A10 so im not a flying brick)
-
100 points to the patch designer for creativity... for those who don't see it- squint your eyes and take a good look
-
A cool weekly screenshot would be a nice touch leading up to release. Hope to see some tutorial and other early access videos soon
-
Awesome thank you very much for the infos. Very excited for this module

I know that at the moment there won't be any paratroops on launch (until ED adds them) But can we transport troops inside? even if for now there's maybe no visual model yet, it would be great to transport troops to and from an airbase/FOB. But i guess that wouldn't be possible unless troops are part of the warehouse system. Might have to CTLD troops in the meantime between points. Just a thought I had
-
That is fantastic to hear, and tbh, so long as this base function is in- I don't mind waiting however long it takes until "you can drive it in yourself" and I bet that has a lot to do with ED needing to support it 1st before It can be put in.
-
I honestly believe this is just meant to be "Dynamic mission capabilities" being able to switch from one role to another and complete different mission types. I don't believe they meant it was tied to dynamic campaign or a new system of sorts. But im curious to hear from the ASC team.
-
Im not sure, I will try asking in their discord about the BD campaigns
-
Expect? Not necessarily. Would love to see what can be done though, I have faith ASC will figure it out and maybe get help from ED w/ SDK to get it done. Now that they have the hook, they should definitely prioritize some of this stuff. So I'm sure we will see it someday, even if not right away. IMO- before seeing hummers drive into the ramp, I'd love to see the ground equipment that loads the pallets onto the ramp. That thing driving up and hooking to the ramp would be sweet. even if it is done "MSFS" style by spawning an asset/animation to have a truck come up to the ramp.

great video in this reddit post!

Considering IRL they did tests on the CV-59 Forrestal, landing on the Supercarrier isn't even a challenge for the Hook. Btw, they landed and took off from CV-59 with no arresting gear or catapult gear. So imagine doing that on the much more powerful C-130J, it wouldn't even be a challenge
-
Don't get me wrong, I still really enjoy the hook, especially as it had gotten more updates recently to its systems and flight model. Having both modules in my hangar gives a lot of flexibility. I'm looking forward especially to the triple hook slingloading when it comes out.
-
Huh, I don't believe I ever saw this option. Is it in the menu or LUA magic? Always frustrated when I'd play warbird campaigns that had you as a wingman, and everyone was outclimbing you to the desired formation altitude despite using the operational climb settings, this might help with that! thanks

Down to volunteer my time to help with VO's, I have a nice yeti mic. American male, 27.

First ever DCS module with 4 engines.. im all here for it. Also first ever turboprop fixed wing. As all the other prop aircraft are piston inlines and radials.. Very neat on many levels. I truly believe I will enjoy this much more than the hook for doing Logistics. Especially with the LAIRCM system protecting the super herc, Im so hyped!

Just subliminally getting the idea of a C2 module into their heads, the boat really could benefit from a good COD module. Jokes aside, you are right about that, and considering the context of disobeying orders and almost doing a water landing, I don't think stinger wants them in a C2. LOL.

Hello 10 years later. RB F15E 3d model and cockpit in the final product was absolutely gorgeous and beautiful inside and out. Thank you M2M for the hard work, it is a shame we might see this beauty gone forever.
