Maybe I'm missing it but is there a way to remove the pylons from the wings for a completely free flight?
-
IMO it doesn't seem to be a very organized website. And I'm not bagging on RB, I love their modules. I think they make some of the best, if not the best, modules in the game.

I ran across this while surfing YouTube last night and was amazed that this once existed. I can't believe this thing isn't still in existence or get more traction in the community than it obviously received. I've seen other exports ideas and programs but nothing that gives you this amount of control and option. The ability to treat each display as though it is a separate tab or window and resize it, move it, and transfer it to another monitor is an awesome concept. It just surprisingly didn't seem to be around very long. Did it not pass the integrity checks or something? Is there another program that offers this much control over Display exports?

Sorry, just trying to help. I understand though, I'm the same way.

Try that its helped people before. It's in the controls section. The key binds are listed as "Cockpit Camera Move" Cap from the Grim Reapers had a similar problem as you in one plane. He explains how to correct some of it in this video: Let me know if you think that will work.
-
Touche. Have you tried moving the head/camera position in the cockpit?
-
No readjustment. I just make sure my head (actual not my game) is exactly where I want it to be and then recenter my TrackIR. So my Track IR may make some adjustments but I haven't made any camera adjustments in the controls section. I'm not sure what you mean by "wider", mine is pretty much the same aspect as yours, the only difference is yours is cropped. See when I crop mine the aspect is almost exact.
-
Same map, I tried to replicate the same field of view and this is what I got. Mine is a little better. Are you using TrackIR? If so are you resetting it and then repositioning your angle?
-
Definitely an iconic aircraft, it should be the next WWII era plane added to the game.

Your almost there! Keep flying!!!

Thinking of makeing the switch from Track IR to VR

I just returned my Quest 3 yesterday. My experience wasn't all that good, I hope you have a much better experience. Maybe my issues are particular to me. Let's hope you love it and it works out for you. -
Yeah my brother text me and let me know about an hour ago. It definitely sucks. I'm just glad he got to say his silver screen goodbye in Top Gun Maverick.

TrackIR wireless clip battery replacement
1BRAVO9 replied to LordOrion's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Yeah, I'm in the US and it doesn't show up when I search Amazon in my default region. When I click on your link it shows up in Amazon Italy but I'm not sure I could even order it, and if I could the shipping may make it difficult. Thanks for sharing. -
TrackIR wireless clip battery replacement
1BRAVO9 replied to LordOrion's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Mine is on its last leg. I bought it used and it has seen better days. I think mine is an aftermarket or some type of clone. The battery is different and the charging port is in the front I'm not sure extending the battery would help me anyway. You say you see the wireless ones for sale, I haven't seen one in a while. Where do you see them? -
Thinking of makeing the switch from Track IR to VR
1BRAVO9 replied to kmaultsby's topic in Virtual Reality
I'll start by saying that I want to like VR. I grew up in the 80s with Lawn Mower Man and the idea of living long enough to experience some type of VR was a dream of every kid my age. I've tried VR twice, and both times it fell flat with me. The first time was 7 or 8 years ago. That was definitely a no-go, you had to have multiple cables connected to the PC, you had to set sensors out all over the room that had to be connected to the PC, the screen door affect was ridiculous, and any time you wanted to play it just took too much time to prepare to play. It was time that could've been spent playing the game. The second time was this weekend, coincidentally. My TrackIR has been giving me problems lately. First, my powered sensor quit working, and then last week one of my reflective stickers fell off my hat clip and the tracker is acting crazy. So I was looking into replacing the sensor. Then I thought maybe I just need to replace the whole thing. So after looking into the cost of a new TrackIR or a Tobi, I had a thought, maybe the time and technology is right for me to try VR again. After doing some research I decided on the Quest 3 Believe it or not I'm much more disappointed the second time than I was the first time. My expectations weren't that high the first time, but the second time saying I was disappointed is an understatement............. Here are what I consider the pros and cons: Pros: 1.) The 3D like imagery of the cockpit is out of the park. So much so that it will trick you. 2.) The ability to track objects (once spotted) outside of your cockpit, either on the ground or in the air, is somewhat better. Unfortunately, that was it for me. Cons: 1.) It was extremely uncomfortable for me. I've heard others say it was comfortable for them, and I'm not discounting their opinion, but from my experience it was very uncomfortable, and it wasn't from fatigue of wearing it, the headset was uncomfortable immediately upon putting it on my head. There is no way I could wear that for any length of time and enjoy the game. 2.) The screen door affect is still there, and it is still very visible. I will admit that it is better than previously but it's still there. Again, I've heard people say it's almost unrecognizable, and I respect their opinion, but for me it is immediately recognizable. 3.) Regardless of how you look at it (pun intended) your graphics take a serious hit. Depending on what monitor you are accustomed to viewing really depends on the hit. I have a somewhat large 4k monitor and the downgrade for me is just unacceptable. 4.) You may be able to track objects better, but you have to locate them first. I think because of the graphics downgrade it is harder to spot objects, especially if you are playing without the red labels on the objects. 5.) Although its much better, the VR is still a pain in the rear. Its just one more thing you have to think about when playing a game. Its one more thing that has to be connected physically (cable or not), its one more thing that has a battery, and its one more thing that you have to worry about being connected software wise. If you are looking to trade graphics quality for immersion maybe. And that immersion is worth the pain in the butt of things such as hassle and discomfort, maybe the VR is for you. Unfortunately for me, I think we are still years away from a headset replacing a monitor. Just my dos centavos. -
I gotcha. I don't have any unrealistic expectations. I guess a better way of saying it is that I'm excited to see what I will recognize, even if its just the flight line.

Yeah I was stationed at Bitburg after DS in 1992-1993, I was in the Army though. I can't wait to see the detail, like my barracks, etc. This is beyond exciting.

I saw a thread regarding the Beam Eye Tracker but it was a year old, so I thought it best to start a new one. If not combine the two. Well, can anyone give an update after using it for a year or so? It seems to have very good reviews in general but how is it working specifically for DCS? Is it worth the $25 as compared to using the stand-alone freeware? I'm especially interested in people who have used both TrackIR and Beam. Thanks in advance!

A WWII bomber would be something. Napalm seems logical now with the Phantom.
