For past three years, with HP G2 & Pico 4. Never had any problem with DCS, even with medium specs PC .. AMD 6900XT/5800X3D.. Quite happy with VR DCS Same thing cannot be said with that other civil sim. regular CTDs, dreadful experience!

Most likely to be the cables, with the my v1 cables failed twice. However, it could be also be amd/nvidia drivers. On one occasion, i had blackout and wmr not detect G2. Problem remained after I replaced it with brand new spare cable. I thought it could be video drivers corrpted, I updated the AMD driver did not help. I was just about to bin the headset. Then I remembered reading suggestion on the forum. One should always completely remove existing driver with DD Uninstall prior to updated video drivers. And it works.. I saved me twice now. Before replacing your cable, just try to remove your existed video driver with DD uninstall and reinstall video driver again.

Same here, could not even land a Cessna without breaking in 2D monitor. After reliably get full tank for F14. I found AA refuel skill transfer to other planes. Able to tank F15e on third attempt. Don't like F18 that much.. too sensitive compare to stable F14

Well, glad to know that you do not need to reinstall windows 11.. without another unrelated issue I rather live with that intermittent issue rather spent whole day reinstall windows & dcs.

I have several usb connected like Thrustmater Airbus throtlle, vkb T-rudder, Ms ffb2.. but only VKb gladiator had an issue. You never known why sometimes windows 11 only effected one particular usb device. But since new installation windows 11, it has been several months without any issue.. or My case may be could have been DCS issue as well. Now I will never known...!

If I am betting man, my bet would be windows issue, there thousand things could go wrong in windows. Before you do the re-installation of windows 11. Perhaps try to purge SRS completely from your registry by using uninstaller utilities like Revo Uninstaller. then reinstall SRS.

I had similar issue with my VKB gladiator. while in DCS, sometimes error message poppued that VKB unplugged.. I had to re-plugged and rescanned. I updated the VKb firmware and reinstalled windows 11 due to unrelated issue. It has been several months now without any issue. Not sure whether it was firmware or windows 11. You could firstly update for VKb firmware and if it is still exist then may be using another drive to install fresh windows 11.

As current 8kx owner, this is the most informative review. My concern for crystal is the small FOV. This review tip the balance for me. I will cancel the pre-ordered and wait for the 12kx.

I agreed 2080ti is totally playable. Previously had 2080ti, before upgraded to AMD 6950Xt and gave it to my father. Till this day, sometimes I play DCS and MSFS on my father computer. Still surprised how well it performed. Sometimes, it feel it look better than my computer. Due to Nvidia motion reprojection, which AMD is lacking.!
