  1. I think there is a thread about this somewhere, but search gave me very little help.. So is there a way to get the GBU's to work on the A10 without setting up units/buildings as targets in the mission editor? Or is that the only way to go?
  2. Heh, you found the right place..:)
  3. Fox 1! When you got nothing left Fox 2! It's the heater in your chest Fox 3! The only friend you'll ever need ..and ¤%#%##¤% "¤&/%¤¤%& Jeremiah Weed!
  4. No, you don't need to install it.. however, make sure that you don't accidentally use non-default payloads on servers that don't allow them.. @tflash The missions and their briefings are getting quite old.. we are in process of making new (very interesting, i might add) missions, and of course, briefings:) @IK Thank you!:)

  6. If the real thing can do, go for it:) IK, check PM:)
  7. Thanks for the advice! Though i must say that beeing dependent on IR missiles and ECM blinking has never really been my thing..;) Even if i fly the 29 only, doesn't mean that i'm heavily biased towards it, and will start crying if it gets downgraded in some areas and the F-15 will be upgraded.. In fact, i'll be happy about that. Killing an F-15 shouldn't be child's play..;) My point is, that even when/if those two are going to be fixed, the radar missiles are still going to be crippled.
  8. From my point of view, the all aspect chaff is the biggest problem right now. It effectively renders radar missiles useless when flying agains a skilled opponent. Right now BVR shots don't even make the opposing fighter defensive. They'll just turn slightly to either side and pump chaff. I sure hope the problem will be fixed, because right now, heaters are way better than any radar missile due this problem. And that's really far away from realistic. Not so long ago we had a squadmatch against a well known and experienced squadron, and most of the kills were done with IR missiles. Radar missiles were pretty much useless. As far as i know, IRL when IFF is not a problem and ROE allows, the fights stay pretty much BVR with radar missiles.
  9. Somehow that reminds me of "the even more democratic ET...":D
  10. I thought about putting that in, but there has been so little discussion about it.. maybe i should start another thread about it:D
  11. It's not blinking as we have in lomac.. And chaff works only in the beam.. but there are people who can exlpain the reasons behind it to you way better than i can.
  12. I'd just like to know which fixes/impovements the community desires the most. I think these are the mostly debated issues, so pick your choise.. :)
  13. And the 29 looks better aswell :P
  14. The version we have in Lockon (Su-27S, T10-S) cannot, but newer variants can.
  15. Works for me now.. but very, very empty..
  16. At least for the 29, the procedure is to jettison the canopy if there might be a need to eject from the aircraft at speeds below 75km/h. Things like engine fire during taxi/take off roll etc..
  17. It's even better with correct logos on it..;)
  18. Like Rugg said.. TS will help in that perspective. Or even better, fly with a squad :)
  19. A fighter escort does wonders to CAS aircraft..;) ..well, not actually the CAS aircraft, but the aircraft that are trying to kill them..
  20. My point is, since the russian aircraft have a reputation of good handling at low speed & high aoa, then why does especially the mig get the crappy aoa handling so easily compared to others? The 33 suffers from pretty much same disease. The Flanker doesn't get the shakes (as much) at corner, and neither does the eagle (as much). I am not asking full AFM for my favourite aircraft, but more of a tweak to the FM. Flanker FM was changed somewhere between 1.0x-1.1 to get rid of the stall behaviour it used to have back then. Oh, and corner speed -does- matter..;)
  21. Me too :) also i can't wait for the better AIM 120C, and maybe even the corrected F15 high altitude thrust..:)
  22. Is this with the baseline engines installed? My sources state 13 seconds at SL, and 13.5 from 600 to 1100 at 1000m.
  23. I did quite a lot testing F15 vs Mig29, and the F15 certainly did not get the shakes&sluggish behaviour during high G at corner speed. The Mig however did, and a lot. So the mig might get to critical AoA sooner than the F15, and so the "bad alpha" script kicks in easier..
  24. After some discussion about Mig29 FM in the thread about 3d model (http://forum.lockon.ru/showthread.php?t=21858) , i thought to start up a thread about it, and especially the high Angle of attack performance of the jet. I did some tests in lomac with the F-15 and Mig-29, checking their sustained and instantaneous turn rates. The numbers that i found, were pretty similiar to each other, and also what the real things are supposed to be doing. However, what was really noticeable, was what happened when the AoA started to increase. Whenever the 29 went beyond about 20AoA, it just started shaking, loosing airspeed, and getting very sluggish to control. For the record, the 29 has a maximum AoA of 28 (9.13S) and 26 for the baseline 9.12. I've understood the Fulcrum to be a very good aircraft at higher AoA, except for a reversed rudder rolling tendency. Should it be as shaky and sluggish, as it is in lomac right now?
  25. Here is a diagram of the fighter turn performance in lomac. However, the article is quite old, (1.0x) and i'm not sure if the FM's have been adjusted since then, except for some Flanker AoA performance. As the picture tells, the 29 has the widest turn radius, and also the slowest rate. All the info i have, tell that the 29 can at least match, if not surpass the F-16 at WVR. At least looking at these figures, something tells me that things aren't quite right. and the whole article at http://www.simhq.com/_air/air_097a.html When it comes down to 29 engine performance, at least the take off roll and climb times are pretty spot on, based on the information from the 29A flight manual. In any case, a new 3d model of the 29 would rock! It could possibly solve the visibility issue with the current model..:)
