  1. I've done a few "kills" on the server recently for A2A TK'ing (clearly intentional) and some LOPE'd payloads, which are used suprisingly often these days..:( But i'm sure those individuals are well aware that they were kicked, and it wasn't a connection problem..:) Also, when it comes to the mission rotator, there have been quite a few freezes lately with it, but i have no idea why.. Or then i just get reports about them more often than earlier :D
  2. No one kicked you, it propably was just a connection problem :)
  3. This is how the values are set for our server (server.lua) To change the default FOV settings, check this post: http://www.forum.lockon.ru/showpost.php?p=65261&postcount=3 However, AFAIK for some reason it does not work if you have trackir..:(
  4. woops.. my mistake then:) somehow i understood that you had logged few hours with it already..:)
  5. some F-16 training documents provide pretty good reference points to use when it comes to visual formations. HUD frames, instrument panel corners, etc, but then again, as you've apparently already flown the viper, you must be aware of these things
  6. Yeah, i know. But having a split canopy instead of a clear bubble canopy shouldn't matter in that perspective at all, right?:)
  7. Vertical Speed Indicator :) And on a sidenote.. don't think i would need canopy frames or any other visual cues to know which way my head is pointing at, no matter how high the G's are..:)
  8. Huzzah! Thank you!:)
  9. When i'm not playing lockon, i burn virtual rubber at tracks of GTR2 and rFactor..:) Always been a simfreak, be it flight or racing sims..:)
  10. I mean i'd prefer a clear canopy over the blue one:) This image pretty much explains why i'd prefer clear instead of the blue: (Image by Dogs_body)
  11. Any chance of having a clear canopy instead of the blue one? Sure, the blue looks good in some conditions, but the real version is far from blue.. in fact, the blue reminds me of the little lego cars.. just IMO!:)
  12. WTF!?:D i'm a bit afraid to land on our next mission...:D
  13. Viper, i disagree. From the colour and shape of the object, i am certain that it is heated swamp gas.
  14. Is it just me or do we have some similarities with this other thread posted few hours ago..? :) http://forum.lockon.ru/showthread.php?t=20663
  15. Sounds interesting:) Check PM!
  16. HAHAHHA:D Nice to see you got Santa's starting location right..:P
  17. Noted.. thanks for the heads up! next time head to http://www.vvs504.co.uk if you got something with the server and you can contact us directly:)
  18. Join a squad! See where the guys above come from and make your choice ;)
  19. Yep, it's a flightsim:) It's a blast.. think something like a Flanker with AFM..:) well, almost, at least..
  20. If the AMRAAM gets "cured", i believe the rest of the missiles will be aswell. Right now every missile seeker is spoofed way too easily by certain manouvers, which as far as i know, is not how things happen IRL. And since the AMRAAM is pretty much the BVR missile with most information available on it's performance, things might start to sound like people want -only- the AMRAAM fixed. (read D-Scythes post about radar missiles and replace every "AIM-120" or "AMRAAM" with "R-77" or "AMRAAMSKI", and feel happy ;) )
  21. At least ED has it:D
  22. I just saw an F-16 hud tape not so long ago where the bandit breaks the lock of the attacker by notching, and the pilot even calls out "Good notch" after loosing the lock. The trigger was pressed right in the limit of the NEZ, which after the bandit started turning and broke the lock. Now this was simulated combat, so we can't know if the AMRAAM would have hit the bandit or not. But at least he was able to break the lock fairly quickly right after launch.
