[Known issue] RIO in Multicrew can change pilot controls
cesarferrolho replied to bones1014's topic in Bugs and Problems
Yeah, i was just flying with a human RIO and several times he actuated my controls. Flares, a bomb drop... Not really possible to fly like this with him He also plays as a pilot, when by himself. So, some buttons have double actions depending on what seat he's on. But it shouldn't trigger both, of course. I see this post is from 2022... Does @IronMike or anyone from Heatblur acknowledge this? Can we expect it to be adressed soon? Or is there some workaround? So far the only option i see is using diferent bindings for each seat or even different controllers -

That's odd. I just tested real quick and every AP mode is working for me. Also working: automatic steerpoint switching and the AP disengage lever/button on the stick

cesarferrolho replied to BIGNEWY's topic in General Tutorials

Long time unsolved bugs schudule or planning
cesarferrolho replied to vgilsoler's topic in DCS Core Wish List
Ok. Already done. By the way, like suggested some comments above... I think a centralized bug reporting tool is a great idea. I know it might take some time to implement, but it should be very useful -

Since this post seems to have a bit more visibility/traction... here goes another report: MiG 21Bis - RWR lights seem to be innoperative !! -
Is it just me, or with the latest update (2.9.12.5336), the RWR lights don't work anymore? I hear the RWR sounds, but i see no lights LastMissionTrack.trk

S-3B air refueling store light issue persists
cesarferrolho replied to Northstar98's topic in Object Bugs
I was going to post the exact same thing! It seems unchanged after the update. The same graphic bug as before -
Hey Kaba, i just want to thank you for this great campaign! Pretty enjoyable from start to finish. Challenging enough without being crazy. I felt no issues except difficulty to connect to a tanker once, but it's likely not campaign related. Here is a campaign playthrough, if anyone finds that interesting:

Saab SK-60 Trainer
cesarferrolho replied to VR Flight Guy in PJ Pants's topic in Flyable/Drivable Mods for DCS World
Hi! I just installed and tried this mod, using that version. The main control surfaces don't move (ailerons, rudder, nose wheel), but inside, the stick and pedals move. Still, impossible to fly like that. Also, the throttles seem to stutter, and the area for the mouse control/tooltips over the left throttle is way too big. -
So, not really a big deal. But, it would be nice that it would work like other jets, like the F-16 for example. The exhaust from the nozzles blowing the nearby grass depending on the thrust level. Wake turbulence works though...

Hello All I'm trying to export from Blender into DCS a simple soldier walking. I have the rigged and animated (Mixamo) soldier walking in Blender, but i don't know how to export him with animations into DCS, so that i get a walking soldier in DCS. Whether i make him walk through AI actions or like a pilot who ejected, doesn't really matter right now, i just want to show him walking (with my animations) in DCS. Do you know how i can do it or point me a good tutorial for that?

I imagine someone already asked for this. Feel free to merge this topic with other(s). I would ask maybe an extra command to tell wingmen to select right target(s) or left target(s) or cardinal directions or bearings. Something along those lines to be able to sort targets when flying with wingmen and facing formations of bandits, more easily and quicker.

Mission 11 - not making sense...
cesarferrolho replied to cesarferrolho's topic in F-14 Speed & Angels Campaign
I disagree. A quick browsing might not tell me much, i'd have to know what to look for exactly. And each RAG mission is, at least, an hour, except for the Carrier Qualifing ones. -
Mission 11 - not making sense...
cesarferrolho replied to cesarferrolho's topic in F-14 Speed & Angels Campaign
JayHawk, i already spent hours and hours playing the RAG, trying to figure out triggers, why the AI is doing this instead of that... etc... i'm ok with my grades. I don't feel any motivation to play the other missions in that format. If you can't deal with my criticisms and understand them, while disagreeing, then i don't have anything else i can say. I already explained the problems. If you don't agree, fine. -
Mission 11 - not making sense...
cesarferrolho replied to cesarferrolho's topic in F-14 Speed & Angels Campaign
First of all, i was not disrespectful about it. Criticizing a product you buy isn't being disrespectful. You can also search for the campaign feedback topic, where i criticize but thank the work behind it, even though i didn't like the product. It's rather odd you say such a thing... Yes, i didn't look at all the playthroughs on youtube and i also said it was a mistake of mine getting the campaign. But, are you suggesting people should look at hours of playthroughs (revealing the whole story) before buying??!! I didn't buy the campaign through Youtube, there is a DCS store page for that, where for instance, there isn't a text stressing it's not aimed at beginners even though there is a Youtube video just about that. But the difficulty isn't really the issue, it's the excessive scripting, even during the actual fights making everything too artificial -
So, this was my first paid campaign. I don't know how the others are in terms of structure, if they are similar or not. I had tried 2 free campaigns before. They were quite alright, not without some issues, but nothing big or terrible that totally ruins the experience, because they actually use the DCS sandbox game and its "systems". One even had a certain interesting randomness on wether you're getting attacking bandits or just "trespassers" on each mission. With this one I'm pretty dissapointed by the HEAVY scripting, mostly during the actual missions. Even an apparently simple mission of CAP can be heavily scripted with irrational things happening like, your wingman cruising along with an enemy that is attacking you, while doing nothing to help you. I apprecciate the effort and the voice work and the tactical teachings, but the gameplay should be the paramount asset. There is no dynamic campaign for DCS yet, as far as i know. This one is the exact opposite of such a concept as dynamic. ...Sorry, but i didn't like it. Just my honest, hopefuly constructive oppinion: In future ones, maybe sacrifice some voice work and let the whole thing be more natural DCS dynamic playing. I'm pretty confident it's possible to do.

Mission 11 - not making sense...
cesarferrolho replied to cesarferrolho's topic in F-14 Speed & Angels Campaign
Yeah, than that does it for me then. The enemies don't even try to dodge the missiles we launch, it seems... " If Paco chooses to attack your bandit you'd come complain" Yeah, i'd come complain the flight lead fulfilled briefed mission parameters !!? Don't you think it's a bit ridiculous to leave your wingman defenseless while just watching him being attacked? What kind of storytelling is that ??!! It's basically just an interactive movie, not a game/sim, your campaign. You take DCS and use it as a game engine completly bypassing the actual game of DCS with tricks and sorcery. It's supposed to be a simulator, not an interactive movie... IMO Very dissapointed. The voices don't have to mean a tottaly scripted experience. I can understand it in the RAG part though... But since you mention that, there are big pieces of briefing with no voice at all, like the intro to this mission 11. At least, i didn't hear a word, and i can hear it in the "game" part. Total break of realism, immersion. Bypassing of systems like Jester AI... I guess it was big mistake by me, getting this -
So, i shoot one of the bandits with a Phoenix, one remains that fires and i have to evade... Paco AI just flies along the bandit and doesn't even try to shoot him !! I can understand the heavy scripting for the training part, but this is a mission with real dynamic fighting. What's going on?

Let's see your grade sheets!
cesarferrolho replied to Reflected's topic in F-14 Speed & Angels Campaign
Here goes mine, not at first try. The last dogfight was lots of tries and only after the latest update did i reach the Unsat. lol About some observations people made, i should add that: -The AI does not use the same physics, it's easy to see them accelerating too fast without burners and when Paco AI "jumps" from side to side behind the tanker. -The AI will overstress the jet (Paco's F-14, 7G + ), even when you can't. -The AI behaviour may change with DCS updates (mostly dogfights, i think).null -
Damn !!! Alright !!!! After todays update, i killed the Viper bandit at first try !
