So, basically, Spud "pre-review" was like : "mount is wrong and prevents the user from using the stick at full forward throw". At least, Moza now knows that they need to provide a better-fitted mount. Still, it is a pity he didn't talk about the force feedback effects, nor the input-output. I guess we will learn more in his full fledged review, in 2 weeks.

Anyone still using MS or Logi FFB stick?
mikko.1842 replied to VR Flight Guy in PJ Pants's topic in Input Devices
I'm still using my MS FFB2 (1999 or so). Works fine enough, but lacks a decent number of buttons. Average cost : 20-70€ in my country. -
1080p or 1440p or 4K ? Specs targets vary a lot, depending on your answer.
-
All good, but did you report the issue for the L-39 ? Just saying, this is an L-39's bug thread...
-
CE2 is also in an abandonware-state currently... as well as L-39 and Yak-52. But I do agree with you guys, and I too wish for some relevant updates.

Advice for New PC Needed
mikko.1842 replied to Captain Chuck's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Erm, I can't see the point in buying a 3070 Ti in 2024... especially when the "simple" 4070 is 14% faster, with 12 GB VRAM. It is not rare that DCS uses 10 GB VRAM in 1080p... imagine in 1440p... -
Aren't we a little bit dramatic here ? I mean, it's not like you have any other choice than waiting, right ? As a hypothetical customer of a not yet released module, you do know that "protesting", or asking for faster release, will have very little effect, don't you ? So yes, you will have to wait, and maybe to no result, because it is also a "risk" that you have to consider. If you have any reliable informations about M3 team and their dedicated F4U devs, feel free to share.

TBH, you couldn't go wrong with either of these GPUs. Enjoy your new toy, Sir !

Just teach your AV that DCS is an exception... ...or disable your AV... ...or don't use any AV #geniusidea

Even if ED had access to "all the files required", it is not easy to fix things when you don't know how/why codes were written by someone else. Just saying. Which could lead to "Yes, we do have all the files... but fixing [insert 3rd party module name] is not on our top priority list. Thank you for your understanding and for your passion."

If you bought high fidelity F-5, F-86, etc... it means : "Now, you will have to pay extra money to be able to fly simplified FC24 versions. Thank you for your pa$$ion passion. Of course you will be able to fly both of the versions, as they are different products."

Flyable Su-22M4 (by civorodom)

I'm not an A/G player, but I will fly it DAY ONE. Thank you for your work ! -
Summer update newsletter is usually released during the month of June. Let's wait and see.

Not worth. If you don't care about noise, and if you don't overclock, below 100 °C is fine. As the previous graph shows, you could get decent cooling with a classic air-cooling solution already (e.g. Thermalright Peerless Assassin). Keep in mind 13700K is one of the least power efficient CPU, and one of the most power hungry ones. "High" temperatures are not surprising. Power Consumption : Power Efficiency : 13700K Core Temperatures 95 °C - Stock ; Noctua NH-D15 : 13700K Core Temperatures 89 °C -0.075 V Undervolt ; +100 MHz POverclock ; Noctua NH-D15 : By the way, Thermalright Peerless Assassin cools better and is much cheaper than Noctua NH-D15.

MVP F86 Sabre Sim Pit - Converting an Original ex-RAAF Sabre!

Very cool. Like a kid's dream comes true. -
Sir, maybe you should calm down. I do get that you are upset about your VKB setup not working. These days, small companies rarely use phone or postal address for customer service. That's why they offer webmails / contact formulars. NA support ticket and EU support ticket NA postal address : VKB North America PO Box 720011 Norman, OK 73070 United States (US) EU postal address : Kriekengaarde 7 Houten 3992KH Netherlands I'm not sure I can understand... What did you mean ? Are you saying you spent 600 (whatever currency) on VKB devices, 8 months ago ? Are you saying you switched from VKB to WinWing 8 months ago ? Are you saying your next purchase will be at WinWing's ? Did you demand a refund from VKB ? I'm not sure what you are trying to bring with WinWing, but be sure you read WinWing's topics so you can get an idea about their customer service. OK, not sure what you are talking about and who you are talking to, but I do get that your VKB setup is not working, and that you are not satisfied with their customer service. Thank you for your feedback.
-
Sure you are welcome. What I meant is this topic had been addressed in several M-2000C bug reports topics. Answered in one of your other topics already. F-15E is at risk, as any of Razbam's modules. Some customers asked for a refund and got it already. I would not advise you to invest in F-15E, knowing the current situation between ED and RB.
-
The fact that they didn't mention the bug fix in the patch notes, is not a good sign. They deliberately chose not to mention it, because the fix was made by an ex-Razbam dev, who doesn't work for ED nor Razbam anymore. They would mention the fix in patch notes if they had fixed it by themselves...
-
Sure, thank you to "G". Keep in mind this is merely a temporary solution. AFAIK, "G" was generous enough to fix the M-2000C module, even though "G" doesn't work for RB anymore. I guess "G" didn't sign up for a lifetime M-2000C support. Waiting for the next episode.

Thank you for your feedback. As a T50-CM3 throttle owner, it is always great to know that Virpil provide decent customer support.
-
To make it short : - Razbam publicly claimed ED did not pay them for F-15E, so they stopped updating their modules and their ongoing work since April 2024 - ED claimed that Razbam did not fulfill / broke some contract obligations, which is why Razbam were not paid - WE did not get any relevant news since April 2024 Who is losing ? Well, as all Razbam's modules are breaking after last update, and no one is fixing them... I think you can already figure who is losing. More informations here

Recommendation for new joystick
mikko.1842 replied to Hummingbird's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Yes. Well, you seem to worry about the footprint, but imho, you should take the height in consideration, much more. If your grip hides your monitor when you are flying, that will be annoying (unless you can set your monitor higher than the stick). Check Virpil WarBRD-D base, which is about 6 cm height. Avoid Virpil MongoosT-50CM3 which is taller (9-10 cm), and designed as a mounted stick. In the same way, avoid MongoosT-50CM3 stick, as it is the tallest from Virpil. As for VKB, their Gunfighter Mk.IV base should be about 6 cm height too (not too sure, you may want to check). Up to you to choose the right VKB stick. Maybe some Winwing users will be able to tell you more about their sticks/bases.
