  1. Useless CAS? HA! What happens when a pilot goes down and needs cover because the enemy is going to his location? Are they going to send in an F-35 to support that pilot with it's stealth from 25,000' and 15 miles away? No way, they will need CAS whether it's an A-10 or AH-64 etc...
  2. I love the F-35. It is an awesome looking jet, has amazing technology, it hovers! But I don't think it will ever be as good as the A-10 in the CAS role...
  3. Huge differance!! That convergence setting is key. Thanks again for the help.
  4. Nice!! Thanks for the help sir.
  5. Thanks for the info. I am not finding the convergence settings... Still looking.
  6. Easy fix, I found the "Depth" of view was set too high in the Nvidia control panel. The higher it is set, the worse it looks. Default setting was approx 16%, I set it to the lowest value "1%" and the cockpit looks great. This also corrected the mouse cursor and the HUD reticle position.
  7. I am new to flying DCS in 3D but I just started some testing with it and I have a question or two for those of you who have been flying successfully in 3D. I am using Nvidia 3d vision pro glasses & a NVIDIA Quadro K5000M with 4GB GDDR5 graphics card along with a 17.3" UltraSharp FHD (1920x1080) 3D Vision Pro display. Computer Specs: Processor: 3rd Gen Intel Core i7-3920XM(Extreme 2.9GHz. Memory: 32.0GB, DDR3-1600MHz SDRAM, 4 DIMM. Hard Drive: 512GB 2.5" (SATA3) Mobility Solid State Drive. Operating System: Windows 7 Professional, 64-bit. (DCS graphics settings are set to max and runs completely smooth) When I use an external view, the graphics look perfectly 3D. But when I am in the cockpit view the image is extremely blurry, as if there is too much overlay between the left and right side, almost like I am not using glasses. I have to focus really hard for the image to look decent and still I have to choose between focusing on a near object in the cockpit, or a distance object outside of the cockpit. The cockpit view does not look nearly as good as the external view. It is impossible to click anything correctly in the cockpit. I am aware of a mod that fixes the viewpoint of the reticle in the HUD, does this mod also correct this issue in the cockpit? I am not aware if this is normal or if I need to make some changes somewhere. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.
  8. Or is it just on my end? I am only seeing "This website has been suspended." I would assume this is for an update and not really a problem.
  9. Excellent idea
  10. Do you know that Eagle Dynamics ARE currently working on an F/A-18C Hornet? As well as Cortex Designs F/A-18E Super Hornet? Are you an F-35 test pilot? Are you an F-35 program manager? Are you an F-35 data collector /analyzer? If not then you are in no position to comment on the capabilities of the F-35 at this time...
  11. Post a screenshot, Otherwise download and install this. http://www.lockonfiles.com/files/file/2566-ricardos-horse-of-war/
  12. I posted on the 104th website but I'll post here as well. Evasive maneuvers
  13. "Promised". You sure about that?
  14. The right aileron in the shadow is missing...
  15. Shift + F10 will enable and disable to RED / BlUE Icons.
  16. I am seeing the same high oil pressure in my 51.
  17. That will happen if the engine is cold or also if the outside air temp is cold (which will take longer for the engine to warm up). Use the oil dilute switch next to the fuel pump to help bring it down into the green. EDIT: Wow, I have never seen the oil pressure read that high...
  18. Agreed, I did not have to rename any folders for it to work. Just replace the original texture folder with the new mod folder.
  19. I just updated yesterday to v1.2.12.34915. The Ka-50 "Ricardo's Upgraded HD Cockpit " mod works just fine on my computer. Can you confirm you placed the cockpit mod here" C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\Mods\aircraft\Ka-50\Cockpit\Resources\Model\Textures. Is it still called "Cockpit-Ka-50 Textures" or did you change the file name here? Also make sure you have a zipped folder in that location for the mod.
  20. Well there's your problem... Don't rename the folder that has the textures.
  21. There is a teaser...
  22. With a unlimited runway, flaps are never required. Since we have limited runways in the real world, flaps are used to help us to get airborne sooner.
  23. Still this fixes nothing. If they were to say for example "We hope to have it available December 10th 2014". There would be no more questions about it and people would move on. Until then people will continue to guess and chat about what they hope and think will happen.
