  1. “Everything that can be invented, has been invented” Charles Duell 1899. The F-35 was started and ready to be built for DCS by Kinney Interactive but the community killed it by not believing in their capabilities.... Had the kickstarter been successful, we would probably be getting ready for the F-35 to launch in EDGE 2.0. But instead, we wait for the MiG-15 :D
  2. Tango, Distract their negativity by posting more screenshots and videos :D
  3. In the mission editor we have the option to select aircraft, helicopters, ships, static objects, buildings, etc... I would like to have the option to have a visual of the item, possibly in the lower gray area. This way we can see exactly what the item we are choosing looks like. Too many times I have selected an item, took my time and placed that item on the map and set it up with specific values and then started the mission. Only to find out I selected the wrong item. Here is what it looks like now: Here is what I am hoping for as an example:
  4. Thank you Dooom!
  5. I think this should be an option for the MiG-21 in the special menu. :D
  6. Well Nicholas, if there will be no official announcements until the end or beginning of the month, please feel free to continue to drop a few hints... :D
  7. I want to try setting up a private game tonight with a friend so I can teach him a few things. It makes it a lot more difficult doing this when we are in a public server and we loose connection or get strafed during startup etc... What will be required for me to have a successful private session online? I have created a mission and set the aircraft skill level to "Client", sign into multiplayer, select new server, create a server name, select public, create a password and then select the mission I created and start, and give my friend my password to sign in. Am I on the right track or am I missing something? Will a wireless network connection work for this or am I required to use a LAN? Thank you for any helpful info.
  8. Also for what it's worth, the afterburner has two switches. These will have to be enabled in order for each one to work. "Afterburner 1" (Far left) is the main one while "Afterburner 2" is the emergency afterburner.
  9. That shows the scheduled release date. Nowhere does it say "Promised"...
  10. Thanks, It is the "Normal" version, not the current beta.
  11. Where was it "Promised"?
  12. Yes I was at a friendly airfield. (Anapa) I am seeing this with a new mission I created in the mission editor. I have made multiple changes and saves. Still no change.
  13. I am doing some MiG-21 testing and I am unable to establish comms with ground crew. I am using the Radio station power switch (RV17) and placing it in the down position to get it into intercom mode but my options for ground crew are blacked out... If I enable easy communications, I can get the ground crew to respond with the blacked out command list. Anyone seeing this issue? Intercom station...
  14. DCS World is a "Sandbox" simulation.... All are welcome to play in the sandbox.
  15. Thank you Tango.
  16. Novak has said the "cone movement is only ~20cm (7.8in)". Just a guess but that may only refer to operational in flight movement.
  17. I want it to be this...
  18. Pappy Boyington agrees with this... :D
  19. The "Cats" Grumman F4F Wildcat Grumman F6F Hellcat Grumman F7F Tigercat Grumman F8F Bearcat Grumman F9F Panther Grumman F9F, F-9 Cougar Grumman XF10F Jaguar Grumman F-11 Tiger Grumman F11F-1F Super Tiger Grumman F-14 Tomcat Grumman G-118 (Originally conceived as an uprated F11F Tiger but never built)
  20. Same results here...
  21. It's also an issue of sensor optics. Most fighter/attack aircraft that use smaller optics cannot accurately see and positively identify a target from high altitudes. Not to the point of being able to see the difference between a person holding a machine gun or a person holding a broom. Lower altitudes allow for better imagery and more confirmation of the target especially when friendlies are near.
