New F-22A Raptor Video: BEWARE Su Pilots and Fanbois
RogueRunner replied to Rhino104's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
This was a joke right?!? The rusky displays are far far more exciting. This was BORING!!! -
Key features still to be implemented and you want to get it through Q&A and release in 3 months time?!? :music_whistling: I am as keen as everyone but this sounds a little too good to be true or recipe for disaster :smilewink:
-
Wow!! That's a showstopper now is it?!?!? :megalol:
-
IMO this is not good for the game! With all the effects added you get a broad overview of what is in the game ala clickable cockpit, graphics and such but things like the sounds could be effects and not real. So now they hype this thing to the moon and when it comes out and the users do not see what he saw in the movie he is peed off and for a couple of months after release the boards are flamewar-r-us. ED of course is sitting back smiling all the way and can already see dollars rolling in, cause with all that hype it should sell well won't it. Will worry about the why this and why that questions later!!! :(

So what exactly will be "possibly" in Black SharK?
RogueRunner replied to VVanks's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
6dof only in the heli if I remember correctly -
Then you have a certain editor of a certain aircraft magazine down here in South Africa who got a ride back from an airshow in one of the L29's. While enroute he was fiddling with buttons in the back seat and as a result jettisoned the droptanks under the wings :D Needless to say he was taken apart by the GA fraternity :) Lucky for him the tanks landed in an open field on a farm and not in a populated area!!

..err.. How exactly do you...?
RogueRunner replied to sp0nge's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
Of course there is a few things to look out for like enough battery power to avoid a hotstart, wind direction on some turbines (B206 engine for example), also to avoid a hotstart and N1 RPM before you introduce fuel. Hotstarts are very very expensive little mishaps :D :D -
Friday 27th April 2007: Red Bear Rising (Movie)
RogueRunner replied to Andrew_McP's topic in Screenshots and Videos
Brilliant!!!!!! -
The pilots mounted commercially available radar warning receivers (speed trap detectors) on the dash in their A4's in Vietnam because the plane was not fitted with those. Like we say down here ''n Boer maak 'n plan!!" :D :D

I see he claims in older posts that he is a helicopter pilot as well! So now since I'm a n00b on this forum (lurks most of the time) and do not know the history, what else did this Zero G character do that got everyone's panties in a twist. It should be pretty obvious after this thread but since we are dragging the past up why not enlighten me? ;) -

He looks like a wimp wannabe broker :D :D Any feedback from him yet? -
I do not know how the real guys do it, maybe different freq for different sectors and maybe this is the solution in LO as well. Ability to set freq on the radios and thus filtering out what you want to hear at that stage by your choice! Surely the real AWACS is talking to maybe hundreds of pilots at the same time and it is not possible to give personalized information and why they use the bullseye method. Again maybe they can, I would not know! And by allowing the pilot to set the freq it is possible to bring in the human element and him setting the wrong freq and thus NOT hearing the calls about the bad guy sneaking up his behind!

HUD tilting after short flight
RogueRunner replied to RogueRunner's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
Great, thanx for the quick answer. Def the time for spin up thing here since I start and when the engines are online I taxi out and take off!! Will give it time next time :megalol::megalol: Ruggbutt, if you read the post again you will see I said on one flight the AH showed me flying upside down when I landed! Would love to see a flat tire causing that :P:P -
Why does this happen in the su25t? Take a short flight and after flying around a bit I get this. It's like suction pump failure in a real aircraft but I have no failures defined for this flight! I had it at one time where it showed me flying upside down after I landed!

BS : Heat blur for Missiles ?
RogueRunner replied to Groove's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
geez people! what else?!? hey, how about shaving nicks on some of the faces of the pilots!!! Priorities!!!! Sort out the game play, AI and campaigns (do I dare say dynamic campaign) and THEN look at the eyecandy b.s! -
Sadly I have to disagree. It's a pile of donky poo!! The aircraft feels like they are on pogo sticks, the G1000 was implemented like their behinds, the virtual cockpit of some of the aircraft (mooney) is ugly as hell and frame rates on high end machines are not that great. TIR support was available 36 hours ago on Naturalpoint's site. It works, tried it myself!
