  1. Then why would the keyboard trim work in the AFM?
  2. I checked the manuals and the english forums and couldn't find anything on this so I thought I would post a thread, maybe I missed it somewhere. HSI:  In some missions I have noticed the HSI and HUD / MagNorth do not agree. This is normal in real aircraft and we have a knob to calibrate it. Is there a control in the Sim to do the same? TRIM:  I have an Axis on my Throttle (X45) assigned to Elevator Trim. It works fine in everything except the Su-25T. The odd thing, is that the Keyboard entries for Trim do work. As a work around I find my self using Alt-1 as a trim control and Alt-~ when I need to bank, but I would like to have my Axis Trim back if possible.
  3. Curios trouble. The servers you are joining are hosting 1.1 I hope. Your symptons sound like 1.1 trying to join 1.02 or vice versa. Perhaps there are some lingering pieces that is making your install appear to be 1.02? Some firewalls will permantly block a port automatically. You may have to check the Firewall entries and make sure it hasn't blocked 10308 or Lockon.exe, and if it has switch it to "Allowed" rather than "Blocked"
  4. ROFL Cali. During this transition you must realize that many people who want 1.1 can't get it yet and in order for us to fly with them in the interim we would need 1.02 temporarily don't you? Eagle I believe there is a Reg Entry I'll see if I can find it and PM you.
  5. Fly the training missions and use those altitudes as a jump point. Keep in mind that your targets may have missles with varying range, speed and inertia as well as the abilitly to withstand various G-forces. Its helpful to note what type of target you have locked (a symbol will appear below the lock indicating such, i.e. P for Patriot). If you are familiar with the capabilities of the target then you can adjust your actions and reactions accordingly.
  6. My experience thus far is that the message doesn't pop until the bandit is down. I usually confirm the kill long before that. I dont mind the kill messages for generic play, but... I do not like it posting where I landed...especially to my enemy. Suggestion: Link the messages to the F10 settings. i.e. if F10 has both sides visible, messages go to both sides. If F10 view has only team mates visible the message goes only to team mates. If F10 view has only your plane visible, then messages come only to you. And finally, if F10 view has no planes visible, then no messages.
  7. Try clearing your Temporary internet files. Microsoft refreshes the Cache on this during gameplay and if they have grown large the timeslice is very noticable in LOMAC. Just a thought ;)
  8. Do you get the same effect from the keyboard?
  9. Also if you set desktop resolution to same as game, you can run in windowed mode and it will appear as full screen while improving FPS a little.
  10. 3D not yet. Before 3D lets get this: It will be better for us to wait for sim goggles with peripheral wrap. This will be the next step up from TrackIR. The technology is rather simple but the development is tedious. Road blocks to this technology are manufacturing costs of flexible LCD in the resolutions needed for head mounted gear. Temporary work arounds could include distorted primary image for lensoptical curvature to provide a true 130 degree angle from nose to ear each side thus allowing us to use existing flat LCD. Again, we need to boost the resolution to an apparent pixel size equivelent to that observed with the current focal length of a desktop monitor. The freedoms this will give (and eyestrain prevention) will launch this and other First Person Sim/games into a whole new direction approximating VR.
  11. Lotsa response you may find this link helpful ;) http://www.translit.ru/
  12. Its A "Drag" It appears the issue on the A10 is drag, rather than burning up the landing gear. The LAU-88 has a higher drag than the LAU-88/A Increasing the Eject:Ignition time differential would give a top TER mounted MAV plenty of clearance from the landing gear prior to ignition. Hmmm, two belly and two on the TER: http://www.a-10.org/photos/p.asp?FileName=28710238%2Ejpg (just a game shot me thinks) http://www.a-10.org/photos/p.asp?FileName=a10%2D03%2Ejpg Single Maverick Loaded on 3/9 Pylon next to Landing gear: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AGM-65_Maverick This Quote is from the following Site: "The Maverick is fired either from single-rail LAU-117/A or triple-rail LAU-88/A launchers." http://www.designation-systems.net/dusrm/m-65.html So the real reason, is Drag: http://www.globalsecurity.org/military/systems/aircraft/systems/lau-88.htm Here is another with a weapons capability chart: http://www.airwar.ru/enc/attack/a10.html edit:Link Corrected Another Thread on this Topic: http://www.f-16.net/f-16_forum_viewtopic-t-573.html Thats just how it looks to me :icon_wink
  13. Windows will spread the desktop (or single window) across multiple monitors (up to 9 I believe). The angled return is misleading as the acutal perspective is set to be flat in LOMAC. There is also hardware available to split video as shown in the picture. I've seen boxes available for up to 64 monitors (JumboTron Style). It appears the company has opted to crop the Top / Bottom of the acutal picture to make it appear as wide screen
  14. Question 1: Yes, the license is for one system only. Question 2: I asked, but still no answer :( http://forum.lockon.ru/showthread.php?t=7338 I doubt that starforce will allow the same key to run simultaneously on the net. Temporary solution is to set up another account (like 169th_Cobra_DS) for Dedicated Server and do like you did for ... erm...your friend :)
  15. I am so Happy that Linux is now complete. And Windows XP is now complete. And IBM can stop changing AIX and DB2 because they are 'Complete' And every other game and software ever sold is now complete, except of course 'Flaming Cliffs'. MAJOR SCOFF and Sarcastic Stare at such insolence ignorance. Let us sheep have our fodder at least we sleep with our bellys full and a mild appetite for more tomorrow!
  16. I've owned LOMAC since the first day it was released (v1.0) in California. Since then I have only reinstalled it 3 times including the fresh install yesterday for 1.1. I play alot. My HL chat logfile dates back to 12-1-03 and is over 5Mb long just to give an idea of how much I am playing online. Is my system super stable or is this just a normal experience? You tell me. I really doubt I will need all 5 activations before the next version is released and even If I did, I'm sure ED would provide a solution with little trouble to me. After all, Microsoft and RedHat have similar arrangements. This version is meant for install on one system under normal usage. This is the best way I see for now to prevent persons from using single DL key and install software on entire lan of 6 or more identical hardware comps. (Which we would all like to do if it was allowable but bad business for ED):icon_redf 5 activations total, 1 on first install and 4 re-activations, is not that unreasonable.
  17. Apparently the SF Activation Occurs under 2 conditions. 1. Installation of Product 2. 40% Change in hardware The Number of Activations is stored at lockon.ru and linked to your user. Since you completely erased the prior installation, SF had no way to know you didn't put it on a clone hardware box and subsequently docked you another activation point. :P
  18. H&R Block Might work
  19. Lol, there was advance info (somewhere) that discussed new keymaps for hook and stuff as well as smoke. Download was smooth (6mb/sec avail here) but it took about 20 minutes from Russia to California Will try upgrade shortly after visit to HL to see how many have already upgraded there.
  20. Uh Oh, it is not Lat = x, Long= Y and Alt = z? bummer, should be Deg:Min:Sec for x & y and meters for z :P
  21. He's flying an Su-27, so Jam Strobes are out. " Ground/Background Clutter" is basically any radar reflective object that isn't moving with respect to the 'Ground' along the longitudinal axis of the scan volume. A hovering chopper will completely 'blend' in with the background noise which the Radar System will ignore. A beaming A/C exploits this radar weakness during a 'notch' manuevre by flying the lateral Axis but remaining 'stationary' with respect to the longitudinal axis. This is why a locked target will disappear from the scope when turning 180 and then reappear after the turn is near completion. Have a buddy fly loose 360's and see how well you can maintain lock while approaching ;-) I would like to fly this mission and see first hand what your seeing =)
  22. Pilot and Gunner possible scenarios - Second Human Player AI Gunner / Autopilot Toggle between Cockpit and Gunner (as LucasArts did in their games) With AI to take alternate position.
  23. Hmmm, this is curios... https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_help-ext&ui_mode=answer&prior_transaction_id=0&action_code=4&answer_id=6525215&leafid=78554&_PPP=511&_PPC=2&_FI=Account_Basics
  24. Just a note: Some users have a single account here at forum.lockon.ru but would like to purchase multiple copies for their Lan. Please provide a way to purchase additional keys against a single account.;)
  25. Try This - Proceed with Lockon1.1 purchase add to basket and checkout Continue as if to pay with Paypal On Paypal screen it will ask for login or Pay with Visa / MasterCard. Select your type of card and continue with payment.
