  1. Thanks Teka--and ED for keeping on eye on us :)
  2. yeah Buzz--same thing was happening to me--don't hit the FLY button--load the track file per instructions earlier in thread--go to map, then hit CTL and P at the same time--then it should load as a track--not as a flyable mission.
  3. Can't wait to get to this one tonight :)
  4. So for the $350 I can upgrade mobo, cpu and RAM to AMD 64?
  5. Before I drop a couple grand on a BoB machine in the coming years--I want to max my current performance with a $350 upgrade--and wondered if I'll see much of a difference. Currently I've got a AMD 2100 XP running at 133mhz--with 1gb RAM at 133mhz, using an A7V333 mobo. I've got a Radeon 9800 Pro and an Audigy. The AGP is 4X only on my mobo. Now--what If I upgrade to a new Asus board with supports a 400mhz FSB, and has 8X AGP, with 1 gb RAM running at 400mhz as well, and an AMD 3200 XP CPU? Will I see much improvement by increasing the FSB from 133 to 400--and switching from 4X to 8X on the AGP slot? Thanks for any replies---
  6. Yup--me too--I'm flying the Su-25t exclusively. Can't wait for the next product, or next AFM to come out!
  7. Excellent support--great work Eagle Dynamics!
  8. Everyone oughta check this out--another outstanding mission pack from ZoomBoy27. First mission I found myself in an eearily silent environment--barely even recognized I was in my Frog--starting off from the hanger at 3 a.m with all systems shutdown :)
  9. Su-25T-- I LOVE that aircraft :)
  10. I never the flew the Russian A/C--until now, with the AFM on the Su-25. I won't fly anything else :) Incedentally--is it me, or does the Frog have a highter resolution model/paint scheme thant he A-10?
  11. Thanks Greco!
  12. Berk--I haven't tweaked anything (yet)--not that familiar with mods for this title! I did a clean install of LOMAC, then right to FC, then Season Pack. I posted another graphic glitch on my weapons not fully rendering off the wing--
  13. Another Graphic Problem--Weapons not fully rendering %5Bimg%5Dhttp%3A//i3.photobucket.com/albums/y83/brandtryan/ScreenShot_001.jpg[/img]
  14. Understood--thanks for the tips :icon_jook
  15. Excuse the long-windedness: I think on any future add-ons/products--that ED needs to seriously look at making the GUI more user-friendly. Saving changes in missions/campaigns that are classified: Even though I ran into this problem when LOMAC was released--I forgot the solution! I had to search around for an hour or so to finally figure it out for the second time--nearly giving up, and moving on to something else. A simple reference even in the readme file would be helpful (if I missed it in the readme, my fault). After you manage to de-classify the mission, I tried to change the time of the mission--and couldn't seem to get it to stick. I realized, after some time, that I needed to press the "okay" button under the coalition table, and then save the mission. On another user-made mission, I tried to delete an enemy flight--and kept deleting my own flight instead--goofing around with the "side" pulldown menu and the "flight" pulldown menus, and clicking on flights in the map. I never did quite understand how this works--but managed to delete the proper flight after tinkering with it long enough. Letting us know that invulnerable, and perhaps other options, don't work with the Su-25t should be documented, if only by a sticky (if it's there, again, I apologize). I don't necessarily have the time or inclination to read every post on every website to make sure I'm not missing something. I only go out searching, when I have a problem. Most recently, I have had autopilot problems--until someone filled me in that when engaged, the autopilot actually re-trims the aircraft, and when auto-pilot is cancelled, the trim changes remain. I've read the manual regarding this--and it never mentions that you have to re-trim the aircraft (and of course, that there is no longer a reset trim function.) Because of all of these things--I'm afraid that some fundamental user tools that aren't user-friendly, are going to turn away newbies--and that is decidedly a bad thing. Once everything if figured out--it's a blast to fly, but on top of the steep learning curve (which I enjoy) we've got to figure out how to properly use the GUI, which can be extremely frustrating. I want the market to grow, especially LOMAC's (and future products), and I think these and similar issues need to be addressed so that anyone can at least get into their jet with ease--though they might not be able to fly it! With good intentions, BBQ
  16. You've got to de-classify the mission with a password (the option to de=classify is under the file or edit menu at the top of the mission builder/viewer. If it's from the stock campaign, the password is "eagle" (without quotes). After this--you should be able to save your settings. Also--be sure to hit any "Okay" buttons under the menu that is related to what you are saving. For example, changing the default start time in a mission--then merely hitting "save" mission doesn't save it. You have to hit the "okay" button underneath the coalitions/time window, then save the mission. I'm going to write a new thread about the general un-user-friendliness of the GUI--as it nearly drove me away from LOMAC in general--and probably does a lot of newcomers--which is not a good thing.
  17. According to the readme--if we're flying the Su-25 with the AFM, we should remove any deadzone that might be present on our pitch/roll controllers. I've done this in the LOMAC input setup for both pitch and roll--so that there is a straight diaganol line going from bottom left to top right corner in the interface. I wondered if I also need to do the same in the Cougar's Control Panel? I'm spending a lot of time trying to get comfortable flying the Frog--and want to make sure I've got everything setup properly from the start--so I don't have to start from scratch one day, having learned I didn't have it set up right! Right now, I've got it setup as noted above--including in the Cougar Control Panel. The stick is extremely sensitive--barely have to think about pitching, and it happens :D
  18. The two needle like things, protruding from the nose of the Su-25t--there is a graphical glitch, that only shows part of them--and you can see through the rest. Sorry if this is already known.
  19. Thanks for the tips--I'm definately staying away from the autopilot for awhile :) I actually hit a target with a Kh-29L last night (a bridge)--but then got hit with a SAM. It would be extremely gratifying to hit the target, then actually land!
  20. They took the reset trim command out for the Frog--as apparently, IRL, it doesn't have such a function :icon_jook . Basically you have to assign a key for each trim--as IRL it is a push button function--no analog axis can be used either. Therefore, I have no idea where the trim is set after using the autopilot--and I have to guess, e.g., that I should trim down on the pitch to get it towards the middle--and hope I'm right. Finally, after a few minutes--in a NON-combative enivornment, I can figure it out--there are three green lights that indicate you are at the default configuration for trim--but man--I can't be messing about with this stuff when I'm trying to target SAMS and such on the battlefield! Thus, my problem.
  21. I've never been a Flanker/LOMAC junkie--I purchased FC to: A. fly in the most gorgeous environment available for flight sims. B. support flight sims With that simple premise, I've now fallen into a love/hate relationship with the Advanced Flight Model for the Su-25t Frogfoot. I enjoy just cruising around in the thing :D On the occasion that I did fly LOMAC, I used to load up the A-10 or the F-15--but now I'm into the Russian Aircraft--especially the Frog. Truth and Beauty, baby--that sums up LOMAC/FC for me (Realism and gorgeous graphics). To answer your question--I don't know what's changed--as I didn't fly it enough to know what was there before  However, you should feel obliged, as a flight simmer, to purchase FC for the AFM alone (I know you said you don't fly the Russian Hardware)--I used to be the same way. It's really amazing, and worth the price of admission--and perhaps, the price of getting over having to fly a Russian aircraft, if you're hell bent against it (as I was). I suggest you give not only FC a try--but the frog as well--if for no other reason that to be able to scream for an AFM for the US aircraft
  22. I'm trying to find an autopilot mode where I can stabalize altitude and concentrate on using the targeting TV--but if I need to make small course adjustments--I thought I could bank within 30 Degrees and not disengage the autopilot. I was wrong--I'm just trying to learn this beast! How do you attack using the TV for targeting, and keep the jet on the straight and level? Any tips much appreciated!
  23. Okay--title was cheesy, sorry. I decided to focus my efforts on learning the Su-25t--with the AFM, and I'm having some troubles. The good part is, most of my troubles are due to realistic features (not bugs, as I had originially thought)--which make it more challenging--and therefore more satisfying once I've achieved something. Please help me achieve something! I flew my first combat mission last night--and had MAJOR trouble flying my aircraft after engaging and disengaging the autopilot. I have since come to find out that the autopilot manipulates the trim settings (to what setting I have no idea) and I have to retrim the aircraft from scratch in order to keep the nose of the frog in the same direction. Once I reached the IP, I go to ground attack mode--and this is where the real fun begins--I can't fly the frog (straight and level) and also use the TV for targeting--heck, I'm challenged to even fly the aircraft straight and level without other people trying to kill me! If this is realism--how do the real pilots do it? I've tried the auto-level pilot--and that takes quite some time to level out--and forget about evasive manuevering--by the time it's straight and level, I'm evading SAMS, and trying to reset the trim back to normal! It's hopeless, really. I'm finding this aircraft too difficult to fly in a combat situation--my workload should be on weapon's systems, not trimming the aircraft! Just my two cents--I really enjoy flying the frog with the AFM-- Any advice on combat tactics would be much appreciated!
  24. Cold--I just figured that out--I'm flying all over the place trying to reset the trim with the three green lights that indicate whether you're at the "default" state or not. Thanks for the tip--
