If you fly MiG-21 on Blue side and EWR is on Red side, of course it won't work :) and why would you place MiG-21 on Blue side anyway? This is like flying F-15C on Russian side... just doesn't make sense :D Just make it as Russian plane (which it is anyway) and use EWR (Russian also) without any problems.

Well SARH missile is suposed to guide itself on reflection of radar energy from the target... if the radar is locked into point on ground there won't be any radar energy reflected (with phase shift) for the missile to guide on... it's like radar energy reflected of target in air when its in a beam... no phase shift so no lock is possible (radar filters it out). Kh-66 is guiding on radar beam coming from its rear, like Vikhr missiles do.

I have no such FPS drop with them on, at worse case in F2 I go from 29fps with them off, to 27fps with them on.

I think what is wrong with ground handling is that as the plane goes faster, same as with fast cars, the un-eveness of the road is less noticeable because at high speed the wheel's shock absorbers are absorbing most of the impact of the tire with bumbs on the road... so same should be with aircraft on take-off and landing. When slow the plane should be wobling noticably, but as speed increases (I think 100Km and more) the wobling should be reduced. Most of you drive cars... pay attention as you drive really slow... you will fee every bump on the road, even if the road seems perfectly straight and even... but as soon as you pick up some speed, the car is driving much calmer. So in short, very small bumps (like parts on runways where conrete blocks join) should hardly be felt at high speed, but large very gradual un-even surface is more felt at high speed (that's because the impact frequency of the bump is very high for small bumps and very high for large gradual "bumps" - think of the runway as very long wavelength looking surface) I can't really put the right words how to describe this :(

Based on same graphics features and engine, yes more effects does mean lower performance, but as EDGE is using DirectX 11 and currently DCS uses DirectX 9, and many effects are being redone, this rule no longer applies.

I'm gonna try this VoiceAttack software, $8 doesn't seem much if it works well.

I'm on around AUD $900 spent on all of LOMAC/DCS so far just in modules alone :) (this is over many years - since 2005, and its still money well spent, well not according to my family & gf, but I don't care what they think about my hobby) Oh and, its much higher to include all the hardware :D

Is it for all commands or just some that you can't clear? It's known/reported to ED that commands with 2 or more modifiers do not clear... You clear it but once you exit and enter DCS again, it's back to default assignment. If you have issues with all commands not clearing I would suggest you delete input folders from saved games folder.

works here fine, I just changed line 5 to country = "EN" and that's it

Aero actually improves performance when not using Full Screen option.

Don't disable Aero Interface... uncheck this option. Disable civilian traffic (it uses lot of CPU cycles and civ traffic is not required for mission anyway)

My version? If you are implying why I am not making one... well I never said I am or will or can make one :music_whistling: These guys were making it and if you followed the thread and screenshot you would have seen this model had excellent quality and was/is well worth making DCS module of... that is if they know/can/want to make it.

you won't get much better FPS just by upgrading that GPU, you would need new mobo/cpu but also bit better GPU than 7870.... so do hold on (and save more) little more... with EDGE we should see better performance so you'll get better idea (and everyone else) what upgrade would be good to go with.

Honestly I doubt you find find such group of people :) I think I am quite a nice guy but I swear a lot :D (ask my squad guys :lol:) its just the nature of the "game", real pilots do it, all military personel do it... I don't see a way around it... it comes with the teritory. Hm... now imagine if TS had some sort of filter for swearing words, lik eon TV that replaces it with "beeep" :)

its been many years since LockOn 1.1b was on my drive so I don't know what exact issue is, I can recommend though to try install LockOn from scratch, this time run the exe as Administrator and install it directly into C:/LockOn folder for example. I guess your user account has administrator privileges? If that doesn't help hopefully someone else will chip more in.

5 years and nothing came out of it... me not happy :(

I am pretty sure I could have returned it and get another one, but I just couldn't be bothered to get the monitor back into the box (needs 2 people to do it) then drive back, wait for another one (they had only 1 in stock and 1 on display)... so it's all good, it was my choice not to return it... honestly I don't see them when I fly, I only see the lower one when it's very dark image in background, and the second one I really have to look for it to see it, I don't notice it at all (unless I specifically look for it)
