  1. nice :D I take 3rd option... MiG-21 I must have, MiG-23 I must have, MiG-27 I must have, F-5 I must have.... the list goes on... and all of them are old airframes
  2. I would like to ask (you don't have to answer, just think about it a little) anyone that asks why is ED releasing WWII planes, choppers etc. If you were a developer like ED, and you were already working on modern aircraft like F/A-18, but were unable to complete such module for few years to come, but you have already cracked the ways to create PFM and ASM for simpler (avionics/weapons wise) aircraft that are also much easier to get right info for, would you: a) continue to work on that modern aircraft only which would mean no income generated for a long time or b) let 3rd part modules (and ED can help also with man-power they have free not working on/parts of the modern aircraft) create the aircraft they have info for, and are able to produce high fidelity modules in fairly short time... and actually generate income while in process of developing the so-wanted modern fighter? yes... now after you thought about, I am pretty sure you said to yourself... I'd pick b) thank you very much ;)
  3. Thank you for the update... any module that is well done (PFM+ASM) deserves to be purchased :)
  4. HAHAHA! Classic!
  5. Well the video wasn't really funny.... not for me anyway.... well, maybe the funny bit was how the rich dude was told off and then wanted to take his pen :D Yup, that was funny! :)
  6. In most countries it's the billionaires that run the show and influence the politicians. I like Putin.
  7. yeah, the $516 is what's on ED website history list, and without indiegogo and kickstarted fundraiser, so real amount I've spent on modules for DCS is over $700 (but as fundraser don't go to ED can't count them) :)
  8. Damn You! Your comment made me laugh like crazy.... and I am at work right now :megalol: Aaaaaaaaaaaaa.... "Kebabistan"
  9. Yes, ED does listen, good on them for making this adjustment :)
  10. Real life (from video's I've seen from Russian pilot that flies on airshows) the Su-27 has some 2sec advantage in turning a full circle compared to the F-15. In game it is also the best fighter for slow turning fights close to the deck. The MiG-29 I am sure is much better in real life than what we have in game (I hope when it gets PFM it will show this) but if you really want to learn how each flies (or just want to be good in one) just fly it... with time you should get the feel for what it can do, and use it where it's good to your advantage.
  11. I have so far spent $516.22 on ED products :D So hey, don't feel too bad about this, its not like something was stolen from you, right? Its just that the way it was setup is not useful for people that already own every module... that's all.
  12. that sums it up nicely... I'm moving on now :pilotfly:
  13. Azref, I pledged $100, but that doesn't change anything. Its still not right to change your part of the deal but not allow me to then also change my part of the deal... its a matter of principle, that's all there is to it. PS: I feel the same upupandaway
  14. So, you see a pattern here? DCS MiG-21Bis fundraiser and now DCS WWII fundraiser... both promised a lot, and both initiators gave up and just went away... not cool... and both times someone else had to step in and rescue the project. PS: 3 posts in this thread from me... I better stop :D
  15. Let me try to answer that for you: - People are asked to pay money for a product and they are promised something, depending how much you want to pay, this is almost like a contract, so both sides need to follow it. The user/buyer however pays the money upfront... and now has to wait... in mean time things change and the other side wants to change their part of the deal. Now where would we be if this becomes a common thing? Why is it alright for one side to not deliver on their promise? the user cannot back up from their payment now can they? So why should the seller be able to change their part of the deal? All I'm saying is, if you promise something, you really should keep your word, if not the TRUST from people will be gone, and that is not a good thing... it is very hard to earn someone's trust again once its lost. And your last quote... that we are crazy to believe ED can deliver... geee.... what a way to put it... so we are to blame for believing? And the person that's in this business and makes such promises (that should know what they are promising is not viable) is not crazy?
  16. I have no time to read all the comments so I will just say 2 things: 1. restructured values are still very good value for money, and I am not feeling like something was taken away from me (and reason for this is only because I was a backer only to support developers and I am not interested in WWII aircraft), however... now to my point #2: 2. this has changed my mind on pre-purchasing, I won't be doing this any more, as time has shown almost always things do not end up as promised.
  17. 2 modules released at same time is not the same as 2 TV stations running a movie at the same time and you can chose to watch only 1. If say F-86 and MiG-21 are released at same time, they are actually 2 airframes that can fight eachother.... online :) At same time it would make sense to relese F-15C and Su-27 at same time also (but this didn't happen, we are still waiting for Su-27 module)
  18. that one is easy to answer... because there is no profit in that for anyone ;)
  19. I am wondering why on earth they are not using flexible displays so they can get very nice/wide FoV and cover that peripheral vision fully, heck with 2 such screens they could cover the whole FoV? This tech is already available... why not even try to use it? Really, the only expensive bit in that VR should be the optics, and it should not be just a simple round lens. If they want to make this as good and usable as they want, then they need to make much much higher resolutions per eye and cover that whole FoV... anything less than that won't make it as good as they claim it will be.
  20. well they kind off are saying exactly that... that this VR will be the ultimate device for gamers, which includes flight sims.
  21. Well I can't speak as I've never tried one, but I am now bit reserved with OR... I will wait till I hear lot of people's responses once the final product is out.
  22. I think zahry is trying to say (with good intention and being realistic because he's seen DK1 in action himself) that even with 1080p the resolution won't be enough to have clear image to read the HUS and instruments (without having to zoom in completely on them) and I think he has a fair point.
  23. I really want a MiG-29 seat... just wondering if you have had any progress on making it yet? :)
  24. Also the one image said the model was for FSX, so nothing to do wit DCS.
  25. Respect the German engineering, I certainly do ;) They lost the war because of stupid decisions (by Hitler) and they fought on more than 1 front, against more people.... had it been 1:1 war, I think they would have won.
