You can then take your new SRS set up to ANY server running the software, this set up is not exclusive to the 104th server. If you are having problems with SRS or would like to get started, please do not hesitate to turn up and get some help. The workshop will take place in our 'I need help setting up SRS' channel on our Teamspeak3 Server. 104th Teamspeak Server Address - ts50.gameservers.com:9132 104th Teamspeak Server Password - phoenix More information on SRS can be found here - https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=169387
  2. No, there will be no Air to Air weapon restrictions mate. Head on a swivel ;)
  3. I honestly think you are not close enough when you ask for contact sir. I will scoot up and try it today!
  4. From time to time clients will show up on the map with no callsign information, even when you select them with the mouse you cannot get a name for the client.
  5. Units that are set to delayed activation are visible on the screen before they have actually spawned in to the mission. Shown in the screen shot are ship groups that are not yet activated. Is this known?
  6. You can do this without any mods just by using the default mission editor. Example... Lets say you have a mission with 3 client aircraft in it (you could have 300 it doesnt matter). You have to make sure that every aircraft is in its OWN group. Do NOT have multiple client aircraft in the same group. So now you have three groups. Uzi 1, Uzi2 and Uzi 3 (you can call them what ever you want, just make sure you give them a name so you can find them in the editor). It is also a good idea to make sure the 'Pilot name' is the same as the Group Name. This way your group name and unit name will be the same making it easier to find things. No go to trigger options. Set the first condition as a SWITCHED CONDITION. Set the second condition as UNIT ALIVE and select Uzi 1 Set the thrid condition as MESSAGE TO GROUP, now select Uzi 1 group and type your message eg.. "hello welcome to my server, I love 104th_Maverick and all that he stands for". You can also set how long you want to the message to display for here. Now anytime a client joins in this aircraft even after he has been shot down he will get that message when he spawns. It should look like this ... Now you just need to redo this for all the aircraft in your mission (I have to do this 100s of times for our 104th missions)
  7. I will drag you all along on this SRS journey whether you like it or not :D I'm already getting serious hate for it on FB :megalol:
  8. Get on TS and join the Help Desk or even better join Ciribobs SRS Discord group and fix the issue.
  9. To many people are still flying without SRS on the server. You guys are causing problems for everyone else, regardless of how much help you think you are being. TEAM WORK MAKES THE DREAM WORK... GET ON SRS!
  10. Server has been updated to DCS 2.5.2.19273 Update 6 Hotfix https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=3556502&postcount=17
  11. Thats a great idea! We'll get something sorted out for next months Red Flag.
  12. I agree, I edited my post after actually reading what you guys were talking about.
  13. Lex is former Hornet Pilot in real life... edit: Alright I jumped in here without actually reading what you guys are talking about. The abeam distance is between 1.1 and 1.3nm, you will see this in the training documention on the CASE1. If lex said it is a fixed range of 1.2 then that might have been what his Squadron was targetting or how they were conducting it at the time. Re the skipper stuff - The captain is always aiming to get 30kts of wind across the deck. AEW did a great video series of Hornet training videos and he covers this in one of those videos. So if the wind is 20kts then the Captain will drive into it at 10kts, if the wind is 10kts the Captain will drive in to it at 20kts and so on. The target is always for approx 30knts of wind over the deck. One of the issues server admins have is our ships cannot constantly sail into the wind OR make smart turns in to the wind when aircraft are recovering. So at some point in a DCS MP server that runs for hours on end the carrier will have to have some sort of downwind leg. You can combat this by having two carriers at opposite ends of the track from each other which is how we have it set up on the 104th server. Or a mission designer could speed up the carriers downwind leg so it gets to the upwind turn faster. But for true realistic set ups you're going to have to wait as when our Carriers are doing over 20kts it makes taxiing around on them very difficult so they are all set at 18kts for now until the dev team work out the deck issues.
  14. Just wait for the message, they are on a 15 minute loop. So just start heading North and within 15 minutes you will get the message confirming what target is active. Remember to be on SRS if you plan on using the aircraft carriers... dont make me come over there ;)
  15. ^^ THIS! Most people have no idea what so ever regarding the complexity to make things work in this sim. When ever any of you feel the need to post " hey that should be a simple fix, please fix it" ... don't. Its like a child walking up to a Formula One mechanic with a piece of lego and saying "this bit fits here nice and easy, please put it in". The guys at RAZBAM all fly and enjoy this hobby too, have a bit of faith that they do their best with the mountain of complexity they have to deal with to get working toys out to the masses.
  16. Yes, the in game message just tells you what one is active as they are sequential. Bravo will not be active before Alpha has been taken out etc.
  17. Lots of new toys have came out recently, then updates to those new toys. You cannot fault any server or client for wanting to take advantage of this, some of us have been waiting for nearly 10 years for the Hornet, some of us more :joystick:
  18. LotATC is running on the server again for testing! For now logins can be made using:- 208.94.240.34 Blue Pass - blue Red Pass - red
  19. Feet. To double check you can always mouse over the co-ordinates given on the F10 map, you'll notice as you move the mouse it gives you the altitude reading of the terrain you are mousing over ;)
  20. Please attach the mission, its not that I don't believe you, I just want to see how you have it set up
  21. I was talking about the RWR Audio. The RWR issue with the latest patch is also known.
  22. RAZBAM are aware of the issue guys and they are working to fix it. I personally spoke to them about it yesterday, just hang in there. I know it seems like a simple thing to fix however its one of these coding issues that is harder than you would think to put right. #Believe
  23. Hello, Thank for the heads up on this. I tested it and was able to reproduce the problem you described. It actually has nothing to do with the 'Orbit' and more to do with the turn itself. It looks like the AI struggles to deal with any turn around the 90 mark with this bug, even with 'orbit' command removed the same result happens. I have submitted tracks of the issue to the developers in the testing version of the sim, thanks again!
  24. To join our new Teamspeak server you need to paste this address: ts50.gameservers.com:9132 in to the server address in the teamspeak menu.
