  1. Nope, not even in safe mode. Oculus as OpenXR as runtime. It's weird indeed because in the other sims it works just fine. Also, the latest log after it ran succesfully in DCS ends with "session killed". For the rest i saw nothing special in there. If i run DCS now there isn't even a log file created (which it does with the other sims) like it isn't running at all. Later today i will try DCS directly without running it from SkateZilla's Launcher/updater utility which i normally use to launch DCS.
  2. OpenXR Toolkit menu doesn't show anymore when running DCS. Last time i used it was on the 23th for switching Turbo mode in MT. In the next session the Toolkit menu wouldn't show up anymore. The log file said: "session killed" on the last line. In the box Enable OpenXR Tookit selectively for each application DCS is ticked (un-ticked, tried and re-ticked again same problem). Went through all the troubleshooting steps that are posted on mbuccia's github page, one by one, no joy and this a few times. Uninstalled and re-installed, the toolkit still doesn't show in DCS. But... it does work in IL2, MSFS and Elite Dangerous without a problem. In those i can bring up the toolkit and make changes without a problem, just not in DCS.
  3. Not really, there is an empty template.tmc (one with and without MFD's) delivered with the TARGET software. At first i thought: that's not my cup of tea, but after digging a bit into it with the manual open on my second monitor it became clear how to use the MAPKEY and other functions. In the empty template.tmc all the basic stuff is already written out and commented out so all you have to do is remove the comments for the button you want and fill in the statements you need. All is step by step explained in the manual. The more programmer you are, the more complex stuff you can write but you don't need to be one to use it. Don't know why it sometimes works and sometimes doesn't but why would you load a script at startup of your PC besides the fact that's its automated (if it works). If it doesn't work all the time why getting frustrated by being stubborn and keep doing it each time if it doesn't work 9 out of 10? I just load up Target just before i launch DCS, select a script for the plane i want to fly and run it. Takes just a few seconds extra. And if i don't fly, nothing gets loaded either (keeps the memory clean and the CPU doesn't need to work to keep it running in the background for nothing). Tip: You can use SkateZilla's Updater/Launcher to start the stuff you want and then start DCS all from within the same app. Nothing more easier then that.

  5. Looking at your compiler info they are not excluded hence the USB HID device cannot be found messages.
  6. If the moderator did his job properly he would have also deleted your post and send you a little message why he removed it.
  7. No it's not, this is VR Bugs subforum.
  8. This is not your problem. When "non existent devices" are commented out in the script (with // in front of the Configure statement), these messages appear. If you did run a script then that is normal because it will combine all Thrustmaster controllers you have (stick + 2 MFD's) into 1 controller (as a device Thrustmaster Combined) and this will add up the buttons up to 32 max (32 is limited by Windows for one controller if i'm correct).
  9. Local shop here: +/- 800€ right now (+/- 1500€ for a 4080 to +/- 2300€ for a 4090). AMD RX 7900XTX sets you back +/- 1250€

  11. Home tab, select a build sim slot, right click on it.
  12. BTW, the topic title talks about the Rift (S) in DCS. For Quest headsets there are other topics.
  13. Don't use the preset editor for setting presets. Use the presets on the main Home tab. Select a preset, start DCS, set it the way you want for triple monitors, close DCS, your setup is now saved to that preset which you can now also give a name you want. Select another one, start DCS again, set it the way you want again for VR, close DCS, your setup is now saved to that preset, rename. Etc...
  14. I didn't want to troll and i also did read that AMD CPU's are more prone to problems after the 2.9 release but i guess if someone post a message that there are problems and then point out that it's an AMD CPU problem, certainly if it's in the topic title, only AMD users will jump into that topic making it look like AMD CPU's are the real problem. But if you start searching a bit into the 2.9 problems and then look at people's specs you'll find that there are also a lot of Intel users with the same problems. So...? If its really really an AMD CPU problem, what does it cause for you that it doesn't cause for me? Clearly something else must be the problem since i don't have the same issues. And i really have a smooth ride (and smooth for me means smoooooth). I've also seen the Task Manager screen shots where people CPU's one or more cores go to 100% utilisation and then say, hey that's my problem. Well, I have that to but it isn't causing any trouble here so is it really an AMD CPU problem (i doubt it)? The below screenshot is DCS in MT with high to very high settings but CPU hyperthreading OFF (with it ON i don't see different performance wise in DCS but MSFS runs better imho with it turned off so i leave it off).
  15. Running a 5800X3D and i have a smooth experience under 2.9, both MT and ST.
  16. Cinebench perhaps? https://www.maxon.net/en/cinebench
  17. For me when the new version came out, i used the preset editor to make my presets but somehow i never got it to work and always had issues with it. Up until today i don't know what the meaning of the preset editor really is. Even if i select the preset editor tab and don't change anything in there, upon selecting another tab i get a pop-up telling that i have to save the changed settings....? So to get my presets working on the main tab, i did +/- what MAXsenna did (except copying the options.lua each time), select a preset, start DCS, make the changes, close DCS and then rename that preset and then on to the next. Works just fine and i didn't touched the preset editor since.
  18. I know about the icon but i never thought about the "somebody reacted to" as it being a like or thanks. If it's a written post then it's always with a name of the poster. Not that i care about likes and thanks anyway.
  19. It's set like i want already long time ago. Didn't think about likes and thanks as being a notification
  20. I have the "push notifications" set to OFF (i don't need to notified with every post made and certainly not on "other devices"). Q: Isn't it enough to just say NO to the question to not be annoyed anymore later on. Why does that question needs to be repeated after an x number of days? No is NO and OFF is OFF.
  21. When i get "somebody reacted to post" notification there is never a new post (or i must have been inactive for a long time). This sort of notification can also show up on posts that are more then a few days old. Real notifications always show the name of the poster or when there are more posters in a fast sequence, i get posted by X, Y , Z and a few others. The "somebody reacted to a post" for me is a bug in the forum.
  22. It's version 2 currently which is still under development and still contains a few bugs mostly for the extra options you can use but the main part of the utility is working just fine.
  23. FC F-15C: TDC Slew Horizontal and TDC Slew Vertical.
  24. Yes, most modules also have an axis control for the radar cursor. Examples: F-18C: Throttle Designator Controller - Horizontal Axis Throttle Designator Controller - Vertical Axis F-16: RDR Cursor Switch - Y-Axis RDR Cursor Switch - X-Axis You can assign one of the XBox analog sticks to these controls.
  25. But that shouldn't keep @JT Animal from using it for the throttle in F-18.
