** AJS-37 Changelog / Update Master List **
diditopgun replied to Cobra847's topic in DCS: AJS37 Viggen
Great ! I can taxi and take off perfectly now ! And I achieved my first kill with Rb04 today  ( still able to fire SA-N-9 at me after my two first missiles. 5 missiles needed to sink that Neustrashimy...) -
** AJS-37 Changelog / Update Master List **
diditopgun replied to Cobra847's topic in DCS: AJS37 Viggen
No 1.5.6 hotfix ???? Still can't take off without huge zigzags on the runway (twist stick / rudder issue) during one more week ? -
Enough to miss a building. I will use map ruler later if needed.

_HUD symbology is not exactly same as per manual picture (p299). _Bombs fall farther than first bomb impact point (dot) and so, farther than last bomb impact point (circle). (tests done at sea level, QNH 1013.25, no wind, altimeter set at 1013.25)

Mission Editor indicate 70 chaffs.

Hi LN ! First, thanks for this great and amazing jet ! :notworthy: Since yesterday I spent some hours to understand Viggen's electronic warfare systems. I read Viggen's game manual and some topic and docs found on this forum, and did many in-game flight tests. :book: :joystick: So I found some possible bugs/issues and I have many questions and suggestions. :D 1) KB + U22: Chaff/flare are launched from the right wing, so the U22 pod instead of left wing's KB pod. 2) Chaff/flare are launched a bit out of KB pod axis (looks like they come from the wing instead of the pod). 3) KB release mode switch on canopy frame is not animated and clickable in a 3 positions way. 4) KB release mode switch should be explained more precisely in the manual, exemple: -KONT: the switch remain in position and launch selected chaff program in continuous until you switch it back to FRÅN (OFF) position. -INT: the switch have to be maintained in this position to launch selected chaff program, and flip back to OFF position when you release it. 5) I did my tests flight against SA-3, SA-6, SA-8 (Rezky Frigate), Su-27 (R-27ER), and I have never heard ambulance signal or other sound from a tracking radar or incoming semi-active missile with or without U22/A pod.... Only a flashing light on CI. It's a bug or not yet implemented, right ? 6) At 12 o'clock position it seems to have a small RWR blind zone, is that normal ? And a very small bank angle give a blind zone too, so that automatic chaff dispensing stop immediately. A bit problematic for evasive manoeuvers... But if it's realistic, so be it ! ^^ (is it ?) 7) Program 4: From game's manual: Forum source translate from a Swedish manual: Both sources doesn't match exactly. One says Mode selector have to be on "3" and the other one on "0". After several readings it seems to me that the second description (mode selector on "0") looks like more logical. But maybe I am wrong... Have you further explanation ? 8 ) In the game we have to select "KONT" to enable U22 pod jamming (and dispense chaffs when tracking radar is outside of front sector in KB auto mode. If KB is in manual mode it dispense chaffs in front sector too). By readings I understand it should do automatic jamming even with KB release mode switch in "FRÅN" (OFF) position. "KONT" should only allow automatic chaff dispensing coupled to the jammer pod. That sounds more logical to me too, but maybe I am wrong again ? 9) In-game the U22 doesn't seems to be able to jam airborne tracking radar (tested with a Su-27). Is it normal ? 10) With U22/A in mode "K" (in B/D/E mode) and no radar emitting in the pod front sector, the Indicator light MOTVERK appears steady on the right indicator table. What does it mean ? 11) What's the difference between B, D and E mod for U/22A pod ? 12) Audio doesn't seems to work, maybe linked to my point "5)" ? 13) How does exactly U22 jamming is coded/simulated in game ? what are the effects on AI radar systems ? Currently I don't see any tracking broken or else. I don't feel if it has any efficiency or not. 14) Game's manual should provide more precise explanation about all the countermeasures systems (RWR/KB/U22) in my humble opinion. It's a major system and deals with our protection and mission success. So everybody should be able to understand it perfectly. Finished ! No more questions ! :P Sorry, it's a long post but I think it's an important subject and that many people will have questions and will want answers about it. Regards. :pilotfly:

I reached Mach 2.70 at about 35000ft in a light descent. (then it entered in an uncontrollable dive to the ground.

Maybe the target is flanking.

I did some tests myself to add to yours: Test 1: M2000 : 40 kft - 2.23Mach F-15C : 40 kft - 2.45Mach Missile : Launched at 20nm (max DLZ), ToF 45 sec, Max speed 4.78Mach, impact speed 3.76Mach 12,4 nm from launch point, if no impact: distance from launch to self-destruction 24.3 nm / 45 km at 2.27Mach final speed. Test 2: M2000 : 40 kft - 1.22Mach F-15C : 40 kft - 1.22Mach Missile : Launched at 20nm (max DLZ), ToF 45 sec, Max speed 4.01Mach, impact speed 2.7Mach 14.5 nm from launch point, if no impact: distance from launch to self-destruction 20.5 nm / 38 km at 2.04Mach final speed. So in the best conditions we have a M4.8 missile with a 45Km range. It's closed to available public data which are not precise about launch/end of flight/target parameters. We could even boost a bit more the 530D to really reach Mach 5.0, but there will be too much whining..... :D Seriously, 530D is far to be an uber missile, 99% of time in game/online launch conditions are far from the ones stated above. To achieve a kill by 530 is quite tricky against Su-27 (Missiles ranges) / F-15C (spamraam and pump), because of its short range and radar beaming sensitivity. :joystick: So when you do a 530 kill you feel so much "I'm a God !!!" :D

Merci !

Hi ! This noise is still present since the first release. I don't like this noise (irritating for ears) but maybe it's realistic. It would be nice to have a word from Belsimtek to know if it's normal or a sound bug ?:dunno:

Last patch from today (1.5.5.59992) Belouga bombs are not visible under pylons. They become visible only after being released.

This  We don´t mind if you guys don´t upload videos if the release is near. We understand you are working on it. Please! release it before Christmas Today Mi-8 campaign, not a word about Viggen... Next week, 16 december, Spitfire release... The week after, Christmas, maybe a miracle but I presume they will be in holidays... So, the closest seems to be 30 december, only two days before I go away for at least one year... I'm ****ed up !!!.... :cry_2:

Don't care ! Release it before Christmas because I will be far from my computer all the next year ! :D

The Détecteur de Départ Missile (DDM) - Bugs and observations.
diditopgun replied to Zeus67's topic in Resolved Bugs
Hi Zeus ! As said by Esac_mirmidon DDM don't work with manpad. With Strela-1 (not tested Strela-10 yet) only first two missiles give a DDM alarm. Last two missiles don't give DDM alarm. I made two tracks to show it's not because of a DDM blind zone (imho). DDM1.trk DDM2.trk -
Why ? Not possible in real life too ?

That would be so unfair for us.... I prefer to die rather than watch an event about a viggen I can't fly... ^^

+1 No more teasing, release it !!! :D

I need it NOOOOW, please... Since monday I am under medical assistance because of you LN ! ^^

Hi all ! In the video you say you press the pickle button until the bar crosses the FPM and so it auto-releases. (same as in CCRP mode) But few days ago I did some INS bombing training and everything worked fine excepted the auto-released. When I click the pickle button it immediately released the bombs.... What can be wrong on my side ? I have noticed too, that between mission editor ruler and F-10 map ruler there is a small difference of position for a same azimuth. If you enter F10 map ruler value into BAD it's correct. But if you enter mission editor ruler value into BAD you will have to correct about 0.5° to observe a correct bearing to target. And a last question: Do we have to use ZBI mode or not after selecting PI ? What is this mode exactly ? :)
