I did a 13mps crosswind right now without issue too. The issue don't seems to be directly linked to the wind and come randomly.
-
I upload it on my ftp, should be more easy: http://diditopgun.free.fr/TrackAndMiz.zip

Sorry but track file is too heavy (even compressed in zip....) to be attached... When you clic on my link download don't start automatically ? (web site is my internet provider, no specific risk to download from it)

I tested again my mission in solo and in MP (alone and with my friend) and this time no problem for take off... This random bug is very strange...

Hi ! I thought the problem was resolved for me until tonight but it come back on 2.0.3.... This afternoon I did a flight in heavy payload conf with wind and no problem to take off. Tonight I did an other flight, this time in clean payload conf and still a bit of wind; but my plane was out of control during take off and I crashed. After a second crazy take off without afterburner I flew to a "secret" runway in the north east of Nellis. I landed with some difficulties but ok I was find (my friend not...). I try to took off from this runway (with afterburner) and again my plane was out of control and I crashed. Looks like there is not enough tires ground friction in lateral motion and the plane slide on the runway same on ice.... This random problem is very frustrating ! Especially when you have to do a new full 8min INS alignement or in some case can't succeed to take off at all and ruins your planned flight with your friends.... I attach the tonight mission and track files: http://dl.free.fr/fHVX1tXTY

Thanks a lot for all your tests Mbot ! I hope devs will listen and find the issue. But they are rather silent currently...

Weapons weight, a nightmare...
diditopgun replied to diditopgun's topic in Release Version Bugs and Problems (Read only)
According to this manual GBU-12 weight is 610lbs too: [ame]https://file.wikileaks.org/file/f18-pocket-guide.pdf[/ame] -
Weapons weight, a nightmare...
diditopgun replied to diditopgun's topic in Release Version Bugs and Problems (Read only)
I did some in-flight test (to compare weapons weight and see which wing go down), and more manuals ans internet research: _DCS's Mk-82 Snakeye is definitely too light and lighter than Mk82LD, it should be 570 lbs: _In flight, full SUU-25 is 286lbs as per mission editor and lose weight when launch LUU-2. So it's wrong, it should be at least 478lbs full: _In flight GAR-8 is lighter than AIM-9P/P5. So values in aim9_family.lua seems to be used and not mission editor value (witch is the same for all AIM-9, 190lbs).... _About MXU-648: http://www.f-16.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=535 So in DCS 611 lbs is far too heavy. I am still in research for GBU-12 weight... -
In 2.0.3 (not tested in 1.5.4) FFAR Zuni Mk1 rocket has missing texture, Mk5 are fine.
-
Yes in my last 2.0.3 flight PA test didn't work, only FBW.
-
I did a TACAN A/A test with a friend (he was in M2000) and it works fine, even too much fine. I should receive only distance to him but I receive bearing too. (M2000 TACAN has correct behaviour because he receives only my distance)
-
I did A/A TACAN test last week between me in F-5 and my friend in M2000. It works fine for both. But with the F-5 I had both distance and bearing to my friend (him only distance). So after some readings it shouldn't be possible right ?

OBL and Overfly don't update INS position (2.0.3)

Does somebody can confirm ? Or I am the only one ? -
Hi all ! :) My problem is generic to the whole game's weapons inventory but I will focus mainly to the F-5E3 weapons. I am making an Excel flight planner for the Belsimtek F-5E3 using the real manual. But after checking my file and mission editor i found that a lot of weapons weight match... So I spend all my day to cross check manual, mission editor, internet, and 4 lua files from game directory. They all have different values for most of weapons (even lua files not match together).... a real nightmare ! And even for the same weapon the mission editor has some strange behaviours. Some exemples in this old thread: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=94083&highlight=mission+editor+weight And mission editor doesn't take into count pylons weight in the total weight displayed too... Here is weapons weight as per real manual: Now I will compare F-5E3 weapons weight (in lbs) between manual and mission editor: Mk-82: 531, ok it matches. Mk-82 Snakeye: 570 vs 511, ED snakeye is less heavy than standard mk82... Mk-83: 985 it matches. Mk-84: 1971 it matches. M117: 824 vs 750. According to internet nominal weight is 750 pounds, its actual weight, depending on fuze and retardation options, is around 820. So ED use old version, it's fine. CBU-52: 785 it matches. GBU-12: 610 vs 785.... lot of different weights according to sources..... most are in 600 lbs range but I found more than 700 lbs range too.... not easy. SUU-25: about 497 full and 262 empty vs 286. So does the game consider 286 as full or empty ??? If I look into lua and internet (I found empty suu-25e/f: 260lbs) a LUU-2 is 28.66 lbs, so x8+286=515. It could match if in game LUU-2 weight is taken into count. And 260vs286 is maybe due to the nose cone addition to the pod. AIM-9B/P/P5: the manual is not very clear and doesn't have P5 version. A lua file give 163 for B and 187 for P/P5. But in mission editor all 3 are 187... So ? AIS pod T50: 136, not in manual but game and internet match. 150 Gal Fuel Tank empty: 148 it matches and fuel quantity too. 275 Gal Fuel Tank empty: 229 it matches and fuel quantity too. MXU-648 travel pod: 2 versions in manual... which one in DCS ? Internet and manual say a maximum payload of 300lbs so full it's maximum 430 lbs as per manual. In mission editor it's 661 lbs !!! So ??? I will not talk about rockets because it's a nightmare, too much numbers... but mission editor doesn't care of warhead types for not FFAR rockets but it cares for FFAR rockets... and manual's FFAR don't match with mission editor weights... To conclude, it's a big mix of everything and I have spent hours today to try to understand that nightmare. So my question is simple: How to know the reals weapons weights used in-game by the "flight model" to be use in my flight planner ? :detective:

Very good job once more ! I quickly scroll at your guide and one picture jump into my face: Page 43, it's the authorized configurations for a F-5A not an E-3 (you can find it in the full F-5E flight manual).

[REPORTED]Nevada 2.0.3-big FPS drop when radar is turn on

Why the thread has been moved to F-5E forum ? It's a M-2000C issue too... -
IvanK you forgot the -35 mils since the begining ? I thought you did it... So it confirm that the 21 mils we found before is correct and not 7 mils as per manual. So it confirm the problem.

It's well what I have thought... And you prove it. Good job !

Thanks IvanK ! Useful method !

[REPORTED]Nevada 2.0.3-big FPS drop when radar is turn on
diditopgun replied to Grafit164DK's topic in Bugs and Problems
Hi ! If devs find a way to fix this issue soon, does a hot fix can be release through updater quickly and not wait two weeks please ? Because IMHO it's a critical issue... :detective: Thanks :) -
The only mistake I see is: ZSL AoA= (26 + 16)* - 35** = 7 MILS (and not -3 MILS), so ZSL AoA=0.4° and FRL AoA=2.36° * 42 MILS = 2.36° FRL AoA ** 35 MILS = 1.96° In game FRL AoA= 0.8° = 14.22 MILS In game ZSL AoA= 14.22 - 35 = -20.78 MILS Delta FRL AoA = 2.36 - 0.8 = 1.56° = 27.7 MILS Delta ZSL AoA = 20.78 + 7 = 27.7 MILS So in this case the manual's bomb table for 5x Mk82 ripple release 140ms 30° 3000ft 500KTAS gives 97.5 MILS With ZSL AoA correction: 97.5 + 7 = 104.5 MILS But with in game Delta it give: 104.5 - 27.7 = 76.8 MILS So those little Delta AoA (is it proportional ? That's the question, but I presume not, just to make things more complicated lol) send our sweet Mk-82 far away....:joystick: An interesting FM tweak to do for Belsimtek to reach perfection ! :D

Even with a new mission edited I have some fps drop with mirage radar on, but less dramatic than instant action.... Crazy bug...
