  1. Some people lack vision. They can only see what fits into neat little boxes. DCS can be more than just another combat flight simulator. Telling third parties they are only allowed to develop a specific thing from a specific decade is not going to help anyone. Think logically for a minute: If RRG was not allowed to work on WWII, would they be developing an A-6 intruder?
  2. The third and fourth images look like they were taken without the depth of field blur.
  3. Objectively, games are art and educational. Why is it that being interactive suddenly makes something not what it is?
  4. We still don't know what vehicle DCS: Armor is going to be:
  5. That's why I said third parties. If you bring in a third party that is only interested in WW1, then they are not slowing down the development of anything else.
  6. I don't see anything being split up. They are dumping it all together into a big pot of aviation gumbo. Delicious! Now we are very clearly missing aircraft from 1903-1936 to properly balance things out. Get on it third parties! (also, noone is making you put any two vehicles in the same mission together. If you don't like something, don't use it.)
  7. By "found" I assume you mean created? That group only has 1 member and was created an hour ago. Besides, there are some things that games like Ace Combat do well. I just played through Ace Combat 5 a few weeks ago, and I think a high quality story driven campaign with cinematic cut scenes like that combined with the simulation fidelity that we get in DCS would be amazing. I don't think arcade flight games or their players are threatening DCS.
  8. Check out the new title: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=122751 This discussion is over.
  9. I was kind of thinking this should be in the P-51D section, but now that ponies are a part of the base DCS World, this is probably the right section. With this precedent set, I'm looking forward to future civilian and prop modules in DCS. Oh, and Miss Velma is best pony. Nice choice.
  10. Yeah, I messed around with it a little. There was already a thread here: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=116341 I built this before they added the motor parts. It would be interesting to try to build something similar now that you can make things rotate.
  11. Then the tank quickly dives for cover behind an apartment building. Not easily fooled, superman AI uses his X-Ray vision to launch Vikhr missiles directly into the building, making some really cool explosions.
  12. Nice to see an official distinction. I always thought the A-10C flight model was better than the Su-25T.
  13. I thought braking was done with the W key. Is this something different or has the key been changed?
  14. Maybe ask this guy
  15. Welcome to AFM. soon the Su-27 will handle like an "american car" too. Also, you can start taxiing before the second engine spools up, so it really takes the same amount of time. Don't forget to press S while turning on the ground.
  16. I thought we were talking about squares.
  17. DCS: Locomotive is more likely than you might think: If you count the MANPADS as infantry, then 1.2.8 has player infantry.
  18. This solution also assumes that Earth is an infinite flat plane (like the Black Sea map). Sorry Eratosthenes.
  19. I didn't even know what I was missing until I had it. Now I want it on everything. A toggle like this would be great for aerial refueling when I don't need all that sensitivity.
  20. I don't know what you are talking about. I just logged in and found a new thread here.
  21. I would definitely recommend FC3 if your hardware can support DCS World, especially with the upcoming EDGE upgrade. Alternatively, if there is a particular airplane you like from Flaming Cliffs, the Su-25 and A-10A can be purchased individually. The Su-25T comes free with the base installation of DCS World (and TF-51D coming soon in 1.2.8 ). I am guessing the F-15C might be available for individual purchase soon too, but I don't think there has been an official statement on this.
  22. At this point I would honestly rather have it released (open beta?) first and fix some of the problems like that later.
  23. As an added bonus, the Nellis shot is now facing the opposite direction.
  24. I did a little more reading on the topic, and interestingly the use of kill markings might be protected by precedent in German law as "anti-fascism symbols": http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Strafgesetzbuch_%C2%A7_86a#Anti-fascism_symbols
  25. I don't care that much. I just prefer historical authenticity over politics, but if laws are involved then they don't have a choice anyway. I prefer flying for the allies, but I have enough swastikas here for everyone. Form a line and I'll pass them out. (do not click spoiler if it is illegal in your country)
