  1. @ED: This bug affects us since 6 months. Since beginning of 2.5.6. WHY IT IS NOT REPORTED??? AND MOST IMPORTANT... WHEN IT WILL BE FIXED??? please don´t tell me that you´re working or delete fxo and metashaders...
  2. terrainoptions41.lua settings are apply to ALL terrains
  3. By comparing with some older config files which I made some backups, and I suspected that some sort of config files could hurt fps or performance (like terrainoptions41.lue). I noticed the older parameter of 400.000 was changed from the latest versions, just when ground radar were introduced due F-18 improvements.
  4. I tested in Dubai when taking off with many building around: With 400.000 I have fps in VR 45 stable (motion smoothing enabled). With 524288, It fluctuates between 45 and 30 fps. In other terrain, caucasus, it appears less stutters when TV cameras or IR sensors are enabled (by pointing them at the horizont, seems a bit smoothier).
  5. I noticed in latest 2.5.6.50979 open beta a parameter which hurts fps near 10% or so: concretely, in file terrainoptions41.lua. In that file, there is a line which saids: multiAppendBufferSize = 524288; If you put: multiAppendBufferSize = 400000; you will notice a 10% increase in FPS (at least, it seems to me an increase). In fact, I look old beta&stable versions and the parameter by default were 400000. It seems that new parameter of 524288 cause some fps issues. Devs seriously, look more in detail about optimization, this is a mess for users every time editing files.

  7. It seems that the first post is not updated yet. What do you refer about color problem in OB? where is the problem in 7.0?
  8. Thanks BN. So when I´ll see implemented, hope by the end of year, I would consider buying any other modules, but not before. I wouldn´t even try channel maps, syria etc at 20 or less fps in VR, better no thanks.
  9. Amazing work, thanks. I only noticed that cockpit interior sharpness apply to everything (external and internal view), but for me doesn´t matters (I prefer to apply sharpenss to all scene, because the clarity improvement is significant, looks VR rendered at higher resolution with minimum performance hit). I hope you improvement will be available in default options, It seems that ED even don´t read some forums or take greats mod´s from user into account.
  10. This is the first time we know knowledge of Vulkan API implementation: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=196539 28/11/2017 by Wags: "We are also developing our engine to take advantage of the Vulcan API to further improve game performance. Having a great looking game is moot if it does not perform well.". more than 2,5 years passed with none informtion appart that "we are working on it - YEAR AFTER YEAR, in december/january -" and "we are moving shaders". Such comments in 2,5 years is no acceptable to the community, even thinking in my case and looking the money I spent in this SIM and many modules / terrains, at least they could say that really "is not implemented anything" (in the current situation I doubt that ED even started to working in this engine, so many promise broken, weather, clouds by end 2019... its very frustating).
  11. @Silver_Dragon: It was announced at the end of 2017, in a community newsletter.
  12. Not exaclty rewriting... https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?p=3592186&highlight=vulkan#post3592186 By WAGS (in 2018): "Base programming and testing should be finished next month. We'll then work on transferring our shaders to the new API. This is a very new technology for us, and it is quite possible that we will run into unforeseen issues during that phase. DCS World uses many complicated shaders that may not necessarily play nice with the Vulkan API."
  13. It´s "major" since december 2017 that was announced. 2,5 years passed. In 2018 I remembersaid that were adjusting the shaders...
  14. To ED & Bignewy - Vulkan & multithreading Any clue of when it will be ready? maybe in july? The fps of the sim goes worse with each patch.
  15. Its nearly unplayable MFD´s are very difficult to see with sun glare at it
  16. Many thanks for your answer, take your time and do whenever possible, there are priorities like family & firend.
  17. Totally agree
  18. I have Index, which uses steam vr like your Reverb. Maybe in rift doesn´t happens due not pass thorought steamVR.
  19. Yes. Dull colours in MFD are more related to contrast, not with gamma settings. It would be great if we could have a option in menu just to change contrast and brightness, not only gamma. Unfortunatelly, in VR its impossible to change those values. There is a mod (3DMigoto from lefuneste) which you could change some others values, its great. I think it will updated to the last version.
  20. Thanks BN. It will address even lower performance issues in VR in comparision with SC stable?
  21. And superbVR adaptation, superbfps module, superbnographicserrors, superNoStuttering, superbtwoweeksVulkan... I would be happy to throw at ED alot of $$$!!!
  22. Hi Lefuneste, do you know if your mod will be ready this week just for apply to the new beta? Once again ED broke lighting and gamma - even more than stable -, I hope you can fix it with your great mod (gamma and clarity its a must in VR). Many Thanks!
  23. Its not related to GAMMA I think More with like contrast, washed colours now
  24. It looks like to me that nobody in ED has a HMD or minimum interest in VR, it seem even they don´t test anything. Looking for other issues like many objects not rendered in one eye. I´m very disappointed, they ruined VR experience in DCS the last six months (since 2.5.6). At least I had the other WWII sim wich I can reach 90 fps easily with a superb level of detail, deferred shading, glass dynamic reflections, etc...
  25. Please keep the external/internal sharpening option, its just great for clarity in VR. Like Night and Day. Tomorrow we´ll have another new open beta, I hope don´t bring such fps degradation like the latest one. Many thanks for your support.
