... too. The new Model Viewer 2 is i must and I think everyone will agree with that. If some DRM option appeared, ok, but it should be followed by an MV update. Please update, TY !

New Thrustmaster AVA Base - Target script problems? See here
YoYo replied to rdalcroft's topic in Thrustmaster
Supplement: if you have old Warthog base and F-18 grip, you will have this entry too (MapKey sections): &JoystickF18 change it to &AVA_F18 -
Yep! Moderators keep watching!

Im sure, the answer is „yes”. The reasons are obvious.

Why did you put it in module’s corner ? This is corner about this payware campaign: https://forum.dcs.world/forum/801-sorelro/.

We need update Model Viewer for sure. +1
-
Few tests and looks ok I suppose.
-
I'll check, no any info about it in the changelog.

Very possible, although I hope that the third in line (after the MiG-29A and F-15C) will be the Su-25A.

Thx. For non FB owners: "NOTE ON DCS:F-35 - WE ARE NOT INVOLVED! ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ After the surprise announcement of the DCS:F-35 we have received several messages asking if we were involved in the development. The answer is NO: WE ARE NOT INVOLVED IN THIS PROJECT, although years ago we had, of course, discussed to port our MSFS F-35 to DCS. Frankly, to make this a realistic F-35 simulation, it is totally understandable that ED decided to develop this on their own as "first party" official module, as there are a number of changes/improvements to the simulation core needed to make it work. However, we have seen a lot of misinformed discussion about the potential "realism" that ED can achieve, as they declared it to be a "full fidelity" module and we'd like to clarify that we believe they can do an EXCELLENT job in terms of realism: contrary to popular belief, much of the required information on the F-35 air vehicle is publicly available (e.g. academic papers) and there are dozens of videos of cockpit simulators, showing the avionics and the pilot interface in great detail. Moreover, a lot of the official aircraft documentation is UNCLASSIFIED (although it is RESTRICTED). Long story short, the F-35 is actually better documented than most people think - and it IS better documented than the F-22, and even (to a much lesser extent) than the Eurofighter. There are, however, some critical areas in the development, such as the actual performance of the radar and the sensors (that is CLASSIFIED) and the actual radar cross section (which can be, to some extent, simulated with commercially available tools such as HF-SS or CST). So, yes, there will be areas in which ED will have to guesstimate some things - so il will not be (OBVIOUSLY) 100% REAL. But (spoiler) NO SIMULATION IS 100% REAL. Can it break the game balance? Definitely YES. But that is what the F-35 can do in real life too."

I’ll check it, thanks for this tip! Edit: I checked. I don't have anything like that in the Thrustmaster folder or in the TARGET profiles (fcf file, example included). What exactly did you write here? I use TARGET and DCS recognizes my hardware as Thrustmaster Combined. So in that case I suspect I won't have to do anything about changing anything. DCS F-16C.fcf

Exactly. Not everyone remembers this. Although DCS is based on real things as best as it can, it is not 100% like in reality in a simulator for home use. This is nothing new, by the way. In DCS we have many systems based on opinions, open sources and experiences or unifying some things. Maybe not everyone realizes? For example, 3 types of ECM in the F-16 (AN/ALQ-184 long, short, AN/ALQ-131), or AN/ALQ-144 in the Kiowa Warrior. There can be many such examples. DCS must be a certain compromise in this respect and you have to accept it, and if not, get a job in the army ;). I know that Team ED will do it as best as possible. However, I agree that going down this path should also go some new AI asset, additional, so that the actual conflicts experienced are more equal. People used to enjoy something like this (F-117A Stealth Fighter) and it was a lot of fun .

The other topic is closed, but I would like to draw attention to a rather important thing that appeared in another thread. Contrary to appearances, the F-35 avionics are not at all complicated to recreate. The F-35A avionics are based on known solutions from 4th generation plus jets, transferred to the new machine. It differs in parameters, of course (some) and the very end of the playback and processing for the pilot, but this is not a revolution, but an evolution, which is based on a large logic from 4+ generations. In 2015 (wow, that's ten years ago, but I can say that now). I had the pleasure of testing Lockheed's F-35 simulator before a commercial contract was signed. I spent over an hour there, not only getting to know the avionics but also having a few dogfights, and although the experience of the whole thing was almost Matrix-like (especially 10 years ago), there was nothing surprising. Everything is reproducible, and a good example is India Foxt Echo model do MSFS, and before P3D. Of course, everything that is most interesting and important is under the hood and these are secret things, but who said that ED does not have some kind of contract, like it was with the A-10C back in the day, but of course he can't talk about it too loudly (although of course the situation in the world is different now than it was with the simulator for military purposes like it was for the Warthog)? Another issue is that the work on the F-35 announced today does not mean that we will get the module right away, it will probably be the end of 2026 or even later. The obvious fact is that more documents and data will come to light during this time, and it will also be later. Anyone who has been associated with DCS for a longer time knows that sometimes modules received 3 FMs during this time and several avionics upgrades (a perfect example is e.g. M2000, whose avionics changed to a very large extent after receiving new materials). This means that there is nothing to worry about today, simply. I'm rather an optimist because the direction here is quite simple than some assume. Fingers crossed and I hope we will recive more opponents for the other side (Gen 4 and 4+), especially as AI, so that even more equal conflicts can be created. Regards!

Does anyone have an idea what the cockpit will look like in this version of the F-15C circa 2005?
-
No and no news unfortunately, you have to base on included skins.

Did upu read the FAQ? Where did you find 2027? When will it be available? Development will start in earnest in 2025, with a release goal in 2026. This is subject to change. When we have a more specific date, we will update this FAQ.
-
I think that 2026 is a very optimistic date for F-35A, there is still the F-15C as WIP (early?) plus the unreleased MiG-29A (probably May-June 2025), so 2026 is quite an optimistic date although I obviously keep my fingers crossed.
