  1. Hi all, we have a scheduling issue for this Thursday. I am in touch with Alpenwolf to try and find an alternative day next week. Cheers!
  2. Hi X-man et all, thanks very much for the event! We had a blast in the F-5E Tigers! Good fights vs the 21s and we even managed to score a 29 kill :) @Wizard_VVS: Grumpy says thanks for that vector on the 29 - great GCI'ing! and the English is perfect sir! Thank you Rossmum for streaming the event and the commentary ;) Salute all and looking forward to the next event. Cheers!
  3. Thursday would be awesome! ;) PM sent...
  4. Hi Alpenwolf, will this mission be up tonight? Israeli community is asking... Cheers :)
  5. Fulda Gap FTW!
  6. I hope this is not the case. I have always seen that ED investigate technical capabilities very thoroughly and making great efforts to get a hold of engineering documents supporting whatever is under scrutiny. Relying only on SMEs , pilots and maintainers experience is not enough as their experience and knowledge tainted and limited by the policy & procedures they have in place in their environment with no real authority for going outside of what they have been told that they are allowed to do by their superiors. Cheers!
  7. Thank you for making the right decision and modelling the available loadouts based on what is technically possible rather than policy & procedures which are different between operators of the jet and can change overnight based on operational requirements. Salute!
  8. Nope. The bottom line is that it can and if a stupid pilot will do it the manufacturer won't guarantee structural integrity of the airframe, specifically the canopy being the weakest link. Therefore ED should model the event of exceeding VnE faithfully, because it can be pilot induced. Just the same as you can exceed design limit load in airplanes without FBW like the F-14, F-5E, P-51D, etc and the damage model of DCS can and does model the effects of a bent airframe and the structural failures when exceeding ultimate load limit (control surfaces loss, wings breaking etc). Whether the degradation or failure of structural integrity of the canopy at mach 1.41 is immediate or over time is a different discussion. Cheers!
  9. Hi , in the DCS ISRAEL Server we just now had a similar crash with 37 clients connected and the mission was with the IADS script. Cheers!
  10. IAF is in! BLUE, F-5E Tigers IAF.ViFF IAF.Yuval IAF.DMK IAF.Grumpy IAF.Zed IAF.David
  11. Awesome! Thank you!
  12. Has anyone experienced problems with physical buttons of the hats and rotaries all of a sudden returning incorrect physical buttons? It seems intermittent and I can't find where this is coming from. Everything is working fine for a while until all of a sudden some of the hat buttons and rotaries go into "crazy mode" and will stay like this for some time through multiple unplugging and plugging back in. Example: everything is working fine and all of a sudden physical button 16 starts to return physical buttons 17, 20, 21. Another example is the rotaries returning both physical buttons when rotated in whichever directions. As far as I can tell the transfer to the logical buttons (what windows sees) is working properly i.e. the problem is carried over, but does not seem to be the source of the problem. I reinstalled the VPC Software Suite, flashed the firmware and created a new profile including re-calibrating all the axis as per the instructions for updating firmware. Watching this closely now if it will repeat. As a side note, I got the throttle a couple of weeks ago and it arrived pre-installed with a default profile and the latest firmware (v200325) so I was pleased to discover that after I had installed the VPC software suite prior to connecting for the first time, everything was working and beautifully calibrated from the get-go. Appreciate if anybody could share from his experience. Cheers!
  13. Looks great! Just two last recommendations: 1. For taxiways: increase the contrast between the white/black to eliminate some "smudgyness" and increase the size of the balloons 2. For parking spots just increase the balloon size Thanks for all your hard work!
  14. The taxiways and especially parking are too small to read. Can you enlarge the letters and numbers?
  15. A few years back it used to be officially allowed when submitting a flight plan to Israeli ATC to file Ramat David (LLRD) as an alternate for TLV Ben Gurion (LLBG) and it is public knowledge that Ramat David Airbase has for many years an active ILS approach for runway 33 and it is classified as CAT 1. Some years ago this was changed and neither the TACAN nor the ILS of Ramat David is published in the Israeli AIP, however there is a public map on the Israeli Civil Aviation Authority website available for download that lists a VOR at Ramat David using VHF freq 113.70 Mhz Link for download of map: NAV2010-North101010.pdf I suggest using the following to extrapolate the TACAN channel from the VHF frequency: https://509tigers.org/confidential/docs/global/01_TACAN_EN.pdf Using this guide the TACAN channel for Ramat David should be 084X The ILS frequency is not publicly available so any frequency can be used. Prevailing winds in the area are mostly from the NW and sometimes from WNW so I suggest adding ILS to runways 33 and 29 at Ramat David. The GPS fixes that should be added to the NS430 and the A-10C FMS database can be found in the CAAI's AIP website ENR chapters 4 and 6. https://en.caa.gov.il/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=408&Itemid=272 List is available in the following files: ENR 4.1 RADIO NAVIGATION AIDS – EN-ROUTE ENR 4.4 NAME-CODE DESIGNATORS FOR SIGNIFICANT POINTS ENR 4.5 AERONAUTICAL GROUND LIGHTS – EN-ROUTE ENR 6.1 ATS Routes Chart Cheers! 16. Tactical commander can order enemy units to carry out tasks? i.e. blue slot of tactical commander for red units?
  17. +1 there is some similar objects in the Caucasus map object library that can be used. Cheers!
  18. So many wonderful variants to choose from :) I would go with the legendary F-4E and for the second version, the F-4S. The F-4S was a F-4J modernized with smokeless engines, reinforced airframe, leading-edge slats for improved maneuverability. First flight July 1977; 302 converted. The F-4J was an improved F-4B version for US Navy and Marine Corps, with emphasis on air-to-air combat capability improvement, which include: J79-GE-10 engines with 17,844 lbf (79.374 kN) of afterburner thrust each, AN/APG-59 pulse doppler radar coupled with the AN/AWG-10 Fire Control System for look-down shoot-down capability, larger main landing gear wheels resulting in wing bulges similar to F-4C, slatted tailplane, ailerons drooped 16.5° when landing gear and flaps were deployed to decrease the landing speed, zero-zero ejection seats, expanded ground attack capability, no IRST sensor under the nose; One USN pilot and one USN Naval Flight Officer became aces in F-4Js. First flight May 1966; 522 built. The F-4J was easy to land on the carrier, very stable at slow speed during the approach. Can't wait!!! Cheers!
  19. I am having the exact same issues with my MS SW FF2. Its subtle and not easily noticeable, but there is definitely intermittent input latency of axis movements (its like small freezes in stick movement) and its visible on both the 3d stick in the cockpit and also on the controls indicator mini window. The only thing I have to add to this discussion is that the the intermittent input latency in axis movements is more frequent and noticeable when mirrors are turned off (higher in game fps). I will try the various recommendations here regarding vsync and changing usb ports. Edit: I started experiencing this problem in one of the updates in June. Cheers!
  20. At close range around 100 meters even 7.62 rounds will go through the M113 no problem, in one side, out the other side (the western ones from the M-60 /FN MAG, not the AK-47 rounds). Maybe get stuck in the engine block but thats it :) Edit: on the other hand I know for a fact that the BTR-80 does not stop AP rounds of the 50 cal. Cheers!
  21. Thanks very much for organizing and hosting! Looking forward to the next one!
  22. Hi! There are several ways to do this, but the most simple way is to add an "END MISSION" trigger conditioned to a timer (4 hours is 14,400 seconds) in all the missions you have on the server. Unless its bugged again (it used to be broken but was fixed AFAIK) the End Mission trigger will order the server to load the next mission from the playlist. If the shuffle button is activated it will randomly pick a mission from the playlist. If you want a specific mission to be loaded use the "Load Mission" trigger instead of the "End Mission" trigger and just make sure the file name of the miz file to be loaded is correct syntax. Hope this helps. Cheers!
  23. Hi Oz this looks absolutely brilliant! Will it work if our root server setup is multiple instances of DCS each running on a distinct windows user? Is there any conflict with the webgui on dcs website? can they be used in parallel? Do you have the ability to add the option to remotely kill and restart the dcs.exe for each instance running on a specific user? Will we be able to make changes to config files? You mention LotATC and TacView ports and other variables... that would definitely be very helpful for servers that run multiple instances. On our dedicated root server we are running on OS Windows Server 2019 and we can only have 2 users connected in parallel, if we want more we need to buy more licenses from microsoft. Does this require the windows user of the server to be in logged in or does it work while user is in disconnected state? I'd love to add this to the DCS Israel Servers! Will drop into your discord and continue there. Cheers!
  24. Sorry, maybe I should have explained when I use the word "WE" it is the community that I fly with. The vast majority of them have over 15 years experience in IL2 multiplayer servers, which also has an elaborate and highly customizable ability to configure how to show labels and dots. During this time we weighed all the pros and cons of labels (be it the luminescent red blue as well as the grey and/or fading ones at close range) vs no labels. We ultimately decided that we prefer our own missions and external servers with no labels, and to this day it is one of the main options we check when deciding on which server we would spend our evenings. Cheers!
