You can always go into your account on ED website from the other system and manage the server from there. It doesn't necessarily have to be your own account. You can create a new account on ED website just for your dedicated server and have your server log-in according to this account that is just for your server. Cheers

FFB doesn't work on Open Beta 2.5.5.32533

I am having the exact same problem with Su-25T , but only with this aircraft. Immediately after takeoff I lose the Return to Center Force. The strangest part of this bug is that everything works fine on the Stable (Release) version. I can duplicate this bug only in the Open Beta install and at the time of writing this post both are the same version 2.5.5.32533 I am thinking maybe to replace the diff files in the saved games/input for the Su-25T in the OB with the ones from the Stable. My stick is the venerable MS SW FF2 and throttle is Thrustmaster TWCS. -

On the DCS ISRAEL Server I have addressed this by changing the END MISSION trigger to LOAD MISSION trigger. So the rotation is set by the miz files rather than the server GUI. I have also set that the server will start with a default mission with triggers to load from a list of available missions that can be requested to be loaded by any client via the radio menu (F10 Other). The loaded mission returns to load the default mission after timer expire or victory conditions. I have also added for each of the loadable missions the option for ending the mission, which essentialy loads back the default mission containing the mission list. Ofcourse this needs to be more finessed and managed for servers that are open to the general public, such as making these triggers available only to certain slots and using CTLD for blocking these slots for trusted clients, etc. Hope this helps... -

Thats a very old version! What you uploaded is the Mission Editor from the original A-10C which is very old and while the basics is the same it is missing 7 years worth of tremendous content and functionality added to the Mission Editor and scripting API. With all respect I recommend deleting your post because first of all it is not a guide (its the old manual), and second you are misleading people to use an old and outdated manual for the Mission Editor. They are better off to use the current manual instead. Sorry...

I am very sorry and sad to read about this! He was one of the very few talented persons in IL2 1946 that excelled in making good flight models for the various mod airplanes that were added to the sim over the years. May he RIP!!! SALUTE!

While I'm not disputing if this may be a picture of a test, that is most definitely not a picture depicting an operational loadout of an Israeli F-16. It is likely that it is just a pic of a test using an F-16 painted in the Israeli camo. Cheers

Dear USSR_Rik and team: Thank you very much for your work! It is looking very promising! :thumbup: The above picture is from the task manager of our (Israeli community) dedicated server box that is sitting in a data center in Germany. The CPU is an i7 4790K and it has 32 GB DDR3 RAM and also an 1050ti GPU. The OS is Windows Server 2016 Standard. The user "dcs" is running the normal DCS Stable exe version host with SLMOD and the user "dcs2" is running latest Dedicated Server exe. Both are running the same mission (simple mission with only a few MIST scripts on the Caucasus default theatre). Both have the A-4E Mod in the "Saved Games/Mods/aircraft/..." folders. I have not yet made any optimizations. This is running the Dedicated Server exe "directly out of the box" after installing according to your instructions in the first post. Obviously the dedicated server exe is loading the missions much more quickly than the stable exe :thumbup: As noted both versions of DCS running under separate users on the same machine started loading the same mission at the same time. The picture was taken ~20 minutes into the mission when there were approximately 30+ AI aircraft doing various tasks (tankers, AWACS, interceptors actively searching with their radars to engage, etc) and also various active SAM sites and several ships and all 3x CV types (Stennis, Tarawa, Kuznetsov) and some escort ships all with their radars running. Compared to Stable version exe, the Dedicated Server exe is using less than half of RAM footprint and CPU utilization! That is more than twice better performance! Thank you for this brilliant improvement! :worthy: Some items to note: 1. Can't get IP Bind to work. 2. Can't find how to start servers in different CPU threads (per the April 12 newsletter). 3. It seems the "Mission End" trigger is not working. The next mission from the "List of Missions" is not being loaded. 4. The "Loop" button on the web gui keeps resetting itself back to "Off". 5. Very much interested to see ASAP the option for the main user account to able to add additional users for remote access to the DCS Server Dashboard web GUI via their own profile page. Hey Fat, Have you checked the implementation of the FFB on the F-5E Tiger II ? Belsimtek implemented the Aileron Spring Stops at approximately 60% of throw on each side of the roll axis. When reaching these stops you encounter the feeling of reaching a detent of sorts and you need to apply a greater lateral physical force with your hand/wrist to go past the Spring Stops and hold the stick in place. Essentially they succeeded to model different forces on the same half axis. https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=171154 Thanks for pointing me to this thread for feedback regarding FFB. MS Sidewinder FFB2 here. The return to center feels very feeble to the point where it is difficult for me to determine by feel alone if the stick is centered (prompting me to open controls window to verify). The X Axis (rolling) in particular is seems very weak compared to the the Y Axis (pitch). Please increase the return to center in the Trimmer force? it is scale-able for those that prefer holding a noodle... Other bug is the jitteryness and loss of FPS which has already been noted. MS Sidewinder FFB2 here and no "Return to Center" for me also. Hope fix will arrive quickly, as I'd rather not have to deal with exiting DCS and then turning on simffb.exe each time I want to fly the F-14. Thanks in advance! -
Anybody got any tips what will be the best way for a multiplayer mission running on dedicated server to get the most number of client spawnable slots of F-18 & F-14 groups to spawn on the deck of the Stennis? Has anybody mapped the spawn points yet? - reason I'm asking is that I want to make sure I don't place a static in a spot that may overlap on a spawn point... Thanks in advance! Edit: found the following info so far: So the 4x spawn points on the "street" section will be irrelevant for missions running on dedicated servers as they start running immediately after loading (don't pause on load). My understanding is that we should be able to get 6 clients able to spawn in parallel on Elevators 2, 3, and 4. However, taking into account the size of the F-14 this may not be the case. S!

Hi Maverick87Shaka Thank you very much for this. Installing the free version of VirtualAudioCable has completely solved the problem of horrible lags when the sound buffer became full. We were getting this only when the AV-8B was being used. Cheers! -

Good point. I sincerely hope that ED is supporting Ugra-Media so that this upcoming map will benefit from all the latest development tools and methodology that has made Persian Gulf such a successful and well designed map... S!
