Is the throttle base the same size as the TMWH? That is, width, length and height. Is it possible to get those exact measurements?
-
Some updates I'm planning to make in the next month or so: 1) I've decided I need more external displays. Currently I have 3x8" displays. that only display the DDIs and AMPCD. I will be upgrading to 10" displays for the L/R DDI. This will allow me to utilize additional real estate to display more stuff on the front Console. Pics below 2) The 2 displays I used previously for the DDIs will be moved to the lower part of the console to display gauges and IFEI 3) I gave up on designing and building a physical UFC. So I'm, using an 8" touchscreen. I like this idea over a physical UFC because I can use this display for other A/C as they get released. 4) Race car bed (IE: Sides/enclosure): My wife calls the overall look a race car bed... ha. But overall I am building the sides/panels. 4a) Left side: I've already preordered the Mongoose T-50 Throttle. I plan for this to be my main throttle that I use. My old TM WH Throttle I plan to actually remove the throttle assembly and just keep the base for switches, etc. Eventually I might plan to build my own panel with switches, but until then.... 4)b Right side: I use my iPad alot. I use it as a scratch pad to quickly write things down. Chucks Guides, etc. Additionally my mouse/pad will be located here. 5) Not seen: TM TPR Peddles. (This is quite the expensive simpitting year) I've enclosed some pics. Orange rectangles are the actual displays.

Isn’t the TM Warthog 40 degrees?

Impossible Flight Characteristics/pitch angle at low speed
Guppy replied to Guppy's topic in Bugs and Problems
Oh 100% I do not disagree with your statements. I'm just saying, the flight characteristics of this particular track seem way off. I could be wrong, totally okay, too. I just want to make sure the devs review and tweak if needed. -

Did you guys watch the track"? You should watch the track before you think it’s acceptable. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk -
Impossible Flight Characteristics/pitch angle at low speed
Guppy posted a topic in Bugs and Problems
Mission: Caucasus 1v1 Guns After defeating the MIG I decided to do some additional maneuvers. What you'll see in this track is me at full burner at a ridiculous pitch angle (70?) flying at 52 knots and holding my altitude completely stable. I have the stick completely into my gut during the duration - you'll see me finally roll out of it near the end. ridiculous pitch.trk -

If I size the viewport to span all edges, the corners get covered up because of the curvature of the frame. I could make it smaller but then it just looks weird. The L/R DDIs are fine because they have curves IRL.
-
with some quick research i figured out it is not possible to file down the plastic as the electronics move within the curvature. Bummer.
-
So I think most of you are aware that the Thrustmaster MFDs have a curvature in the inner frame that blocks off symbology on the AMPCD in the hornet (and the displays in the Warthog). The real AMPCDs have 90 degree corners. I’m looking for some sort of conversion to take my existing TM MFDs and turn it into an AMPCD with 90 degrees inner corners. My thought is to either 1) very carefully filing down the curves into corners and filling in the work with some very thin styrene plastic, painted black. OR are there any conversation kits that people have designed that can be 3D printed? I’d like to leverage all of the existing electronics and not do my own buttons/ soldering, etc.

[REPORTED] Unable to start APU and engines after running out of fuel
Guppy replied to Oznerol256's topic in Bugs and Problems
Holy cow WindyTx you need to take a step back. Users should be encouraged to report ALL bugs regardless of how “irrelevant” you might think they are. Like any software company, ED will prioritize based on effort and criticality. The original poster didn’t even say this needs to be fixed ASAP, it’s just a bug report. Calm down! -
A stab at TOPGUN, I see. You’re a liar. TOPGUN is 100% authentic and real!

FYI, I checked device manager and a USB hub of mine was having issues. Oddly it’s not one I use with any active devices for DCS. I unplugged it and plugged it back in and viola! Works perfect now.
-
I’m having the same exact issue ever since the latest update of DCS beta.

I will likely not fly the F-15c again so here is a little tribute to it over the last 13 years of enjoying the module.

Maybe because, even with this awesome photo they could not manage to snag a wire? Haha. Kidding.

F18 MFD exports now work with a very quick tweak.
Guppy replied to Cowboy10uk's topic in DCS: F/A-18C
Will this tweak still allow you to pass the integrity check on most MP servers? I don’t want to do this if I can’t get in 104th, etc. -
Hey all - Currently I own the TM Warthog stick and throttle. I love the stick, especially with an extension for it. However, the throttle I'm not so certain about especially since I'll be likely never flying the A-10c for any foreseeable future. With that said, I do not like the warthog throttle for the hornet. So this is where I'm stuck and need some advice... do I purchase: - TM T16000 throttle ($80) - Buy a logitech/saitek x-56 and use the throttle only - wait for the VPC MongoosT-50 throttle? Who knows when the heck this is going to come out. Any other ideas? I really do not care for the warthog too much with the hornet. I feel like there arent enough buttons on the throttle. Thoughts?

This is going to sound harsh and abrasive and I do not mean it that way... but there are plenty of arcade style 'sims' out there for those who want even more simplicity (Ace Combat, etc.). DCS Flaming Cliff aircraft are pretty easy to get the hang of if you are willing to put a few hours into learning and take even more time to master. That is about, in my opinion, as simple as DCS should ever get. They take many, many hours to master. I think people just want to jump in and fly - unfortunately that's not how a -simulation- should be, ever. I believe the reason for the different types of flight models was to keep track of the progress moving them over from old flight models. I do not believe it's intent was to make things easier, but I could be wrong.

I have a request for ED for future updates that I believe other developers could benefit regarding release notes. One of the issues I have when approaching the release notes is identifying whether a change is a new feature or a bug/defect fix. Currently, I think added vs. fixed helps... but a little more formality might make it a touch easier to easily figure out... It would be helpful for each module you had sub sections, IE: DCS F/A-18C Hornet --New Features-- - Added absolute axis for TDC - Added missing North Up and Decentered modes of the AMPCD digital map. --Bug fixes--- - ADV RSET cannot be removed during a cold start - fixed. - Crash with external fuel tanks fixed. - Flight hours will be log in logbook. - Unable to toggle Moving Map on and off - fixed. ...and so on. This would help users, like me, who like to quickly identify a particular issue they have been facing and see if there is a fix (IE: bug), or be able to try something out that is new. IE: when HARM gets release, etc. Further, I'm not sure what the plan is for future larger releases like deploying A/G radar, HARM, AMRAAM, but I would have a higher tier than that. Maybe Roadmap Release I, II, III, etc. Just a few thoughts to help the communication process with these releases - appreciate all of the work you guys are doing. I don't want to make more paper work for y'all. Just some gentle input from someone who has to deal with crazy users making crazy suggestions all the time.

Caucaus Map | Instant Action | Case 1 Carrier Landing Doing a Case I carrier landing and as I hit the deck I come to a full stop and frozen in place. I've attached the mission for reference. Ironically this was my best approach yet. So I'm under the feeling that it was so good the game could not comprehend. hardstop.trk

if it stops aligning how can you start it again? I've tried to resetting the parking break and the knob and it does not seem to work.

ahhh this helps - much appreciated!

In the Early Access guide step 8 it states: However in step 18 it states: I assume the right DDI is what we use to do this, is that correct since we have not navigated away from that bit page. Additionally, what does this action do? Anyone know? I saw Jabbers video on starting the hornet and he completely skips this.
