that i'd be great If you could find the parameter. I know about the initial lock, which gyro stabilises it, but sometimes it jumps onto another 'target', and this takes more time to move and lock onto primary target. Still think it should be 'smooth' and not 'step'

Hi all, Wondering if there's a way to slow this down. Finding, especially with Mav's, and Kh29ths etc, it moves very quickly. Ive programmed my hotas (cougar with a delay on my microstick, but even a single key strike makes it jump across the screen a little. I'm able to do it, by getting a crude position with the stick or keys, then with the aircraft controls, fine tuning to get it on target. Thats not easy if some AP has been engaged. Any views, or workarounds welcome

How?

1.1, TIR3, Just complete my first refuel. Might help those with difficulty. Its not edited, and you might want to look at final phase from exernal view, to show relative movement http://homepage.eircom.net/~fish44/Tracks/Fish_Refueling_Su33_TIR3.zip Note i had to dump fuel, to allow space for fuel. Did not know how to change fuel load at mission editor.

Ive just been trying some training with Laser guided weapons in the Su25T. I launched a single KH25, an wow and behold, the aircraft after a judder, lurched to the side opposite launhched rack. I got it flying level by adding some rudder trim. I came around on target again, and released the next KH25, and same again, aircraft was out of trim. Returned the rudder trim to center position (using the green trim center light), and all was well again. Nice work ED.

So you had the problem, but its solved now?

Hi Rich, I appreciate you taking an interest in this issue, and i know you could be doing some more of that good stuff we know and appreciate you for. For the first 10 seconds in flight (or taxi or ramp) i have no problems, i press the # key (my comms), and have managed to give commands, they show up as the text displaying the F key options on the top right of the screen, Then I get the message sent in text on the Lhs, with audible mimic, then text acknowledging, with and andible acknowldging. So for 10 seconds everything seems to work good. After that I cant get the 'F' key options by pressing the same # key. It just stops working. NO command options, no command text, and no feedback text or audible responses. There's nothing that my graphics setup can do for 10 seconds that it cant do for the duration of the mission. Also it worked fine when i went back to original LockON, all the way through the missions. But once i installed FC over it, problem came back again. Tried re-installing three times, each time same result, Lock on fine, but FC no go. Im not re-mapping keys, and its not joystick related, as i tried it with a virgin FC1.1 install, with my Hotas switched off. I can give the basic direct commands, like 'Loose', tight, cover me, RTP with the '[' and ']' keys and combinations, but thats all. PS, Really think your stuff is great since flanker 1.5 (or maybe before?), its a big part of why i'm still with these sims. ....

For those of you who dont have a TIR, Better start saving........................

Thanks, Its already posted there. And yes sim works perfect, but will look at the axis setup. However my new installs had default axes, and key stettings. Also tried the current 1.1 exe, but its the same as my older file, as it gave me same problem.

Well your post has restored my sanity. At least i can live with it if ED know its a bug, I'm sure they'll fix it. I have completed my install, and used the saved reg key. But same old same old. The problem was there. So i un-installed 1.1, and 'repaired' the original LOCKon and Guess what. With original Lock-On Comms switch works very good. So I tried to apply the patch again, but that dident work, so i removed Lock on again. Re-Installed Lock-on, and installed 1.1. And the result ..............? Well the problem is back with 1.1 so conclusion Its a 1.1 bug ! But hey, I really love 1.1 for many reasons over 1.02. So it stays in the hope that it will be fixed in next patch/product. I wonder if the current version 1.1 file the same as mine, as mine was one of the first....? Think i'll try and re-download it, and go through install again.

Well there it goes. Three days on the fourm without any response. I must therefore assume that it is my installation is a fault. I've just backed up my existing install with my new shiny DVD burner. So onward and upward with my complete re-install. :icon_roll wish me luck.

Could not trace original post from ICE. However i believe my problem is similar Comms key problem However this is happening for me in normal game play, and remaping does not help, a restart only gives me 10seconds of comms.

When i jump in the jet, and hit the 'S' i can get commands from the comms switch for approx 10secondes, then the comms switch ceases to function, and i must restart the sim to get the comms again, but only for 10secs as before. I have tried remapping the key to a standard key but same thing happens. Anyone know what could the problem be, sim and othe keystrokes work fine. Really love the sim, but Its kind of a show stopper for me, and wingman comms are pretty important. I really don't want to have to relaod the game with starforce etc. Unless i'm sure that would solve the problem.

Im back. It seems i need to be able to call awacs etc to find the nearest tanker. I have checked the keyboard commands in the options screen, and '\' is designated for radio commands menu. I have tried this from several planes, but cannot get any menu on the screen. It there some reason why this menu would not appear for me. Thanks

I knew there had to be a simple explaination. Ive been trying with the Su27 and the Su25T...... I'll go away and try it out with one of the above. Then come back if i'm still having trouble. Thanks.

I feel a little silly asking about this, and i'll probably find the answers after i post, but here goes. 1. Where in the manual does it explain A2A refueling 2. How do i extend the nozzle on my jet 3. How do i find the nearest tanker. 3. How do i get the tanker to extend the boom. Im using the 'R' key for nozzle, but does nor open it. Is it speed or some other logic related. Thanks

Perhaps these are not bugs, but 1.i can't see the air brake light on the mig29a. 2. The stick in the pit does not move vertically, in response to pitch trim input only on the Su25. It works for rudder trim, and for both ruddedr and pitch trim in the Su25T. What gives? Thanks

Count me in for that. I'm drooling at the thoughts of flying the 'most beautiful plane in currently flying, with the advanced modelling, And then the icing would be new theaters..

HDTV will take care of that....

Andrew, Your are too modest. I too saw the show live, and your video is a worthy tribute to the event. 'Things can only get better.........'

Congratulations to all involved in VFTC airshow!

I wish to endorse what the poster said, and congradulate all involved in the event. I hope it was as much a success for you as it was for me as a spectator. I watched the show in fascination, and awe. I believe the show was ground breaking on a number of fronts, and techinically is was flawless, with excellent administration, and information flow in advance. And for the flight team. They provided us with a brilliant demonstration of what can be done with online flying. I can only imagine the amount of hours practice went into perfecting the routine. And it was not like a video, where problems could be ironed out afterwards. It was LIVE!. Many thanks for the display of such skill. Its an inspiration to all us 'wanabe' expert virtual pilots. The display was also a testament to Flaming Cliffs, and its ability to cope with close formation, in multiplay. I'm looking forward already to the next spectator event. Thanks.
