  10. Hey Strut, very funny :-) I'm sure you spent many a night there from your army days with no money left in your pocket after enjoying the big smoke. ha ha. Bonso, no need to apologize. no problem. maybe AMD should be the one apologizing. 11. Hi Bonso, I have tried every Cat release since 11.6 and all versions after Cat 11.6 have flashing white boxes with 69xx cards including Cat 12.3. Oh and just to make sure I wasn't loosing my mind, I checked Cat 12.3 again and I have flashing white boxes, so straight back to Cat 11.6. Bummer Windows 7 x64, i5-2500k @ 4.4 with Noctua NH-D14 CPU Cooler ,ASRock Z68 Fatal1ty Pro Gen 3 G.Skill Ripjaws 16gig DDR3,, HD6950 2gb, HOTAS Warthog,Saitek Combat Pedals and TrackIr 5 Using Deadman's Covers and Metalnwood's extension.
  12. Hi AceKng1, Don't bother trying Cat 12.8, same old Flashing white boxes. AMD support, what a joke. see my previous post on this. http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=89386 Windows 7 x64, i5-2500k @ 4.4 with Noctua NH-D14 CPU Cooler ,ASRock Z68 Fatal1ty Pro Gen 3 G.Skill Ripjaws 16gig DDR3,, HD6950 2gb, HOTAS Warthog,Saitek Combat Pedals and TrackIr 5 Using Deadman's Covers and Metalnwood's extension. cheers

  14. Hi all, I have noticed for the first time now with DCS World 1.2.0 that you get a pop up screen bottom right hand corner saying (The Color scheme has been changed to windows 7 basic, A running program isn't compatible with certain visual elements of windows) like you do with Microsoft FSX when loading a mission. I have not seen this happen in any previous versions of DCS. Has anyone else seen this? should this be happening now? Cheers Windows 7 x64, i5-2500k @ 4.4 with Noctua NH-D14 CPU Cooler ,ASRock Z68 Fatal1ty Pro Gen 3 G.Skill Ripjaws 16gig DDR3,, HD6950 2gb, HOTAS Warthog,Saitek Combat Pedals and TrackIr 5 Using Deadman's Covers and Metalnwood's extension.

  16. Hey Bignewy, Thanks for your support mate. To say AMD support is pain full is an understatement. I work for a company that has integrity and stand by there products, offer great support and treat there consumers with respect. They don't ignore problems we fix them! Like you my next card will be Nvidia. Cheers
  17. Hi, This would be great, but AMD take you on a journey promising support until they get sick of you and don't want to help anymore and then choose to ignore your emails and just keep sending a generated response like the one below hoping you will go away. I have been emailing AMD about the Flashing White Boxes with the 69xx cards since the 13/1/2012 and have sent at least 8 emails to AMD about this. below is four of the last emails I received from AMD. 8/5/12 This is an automatically generated email, please do not reply. I as a customer asked for a refund or replacement of my 6950 card seeing that it has a problem AMD can't fix. and guess what! No Reply! AMD statement if you believe it. We made a number of improvements to the older Catalyst Crew Feedback form, making it more comprehensive, ensuring high quality feedback. 18. Hi Mate, Is this what your getting? see Yo Yo's Youtube video and check out all the posts. 19. Hey Aries, I can confirm that the Flashing White Boxes are still there with Cat 12.4 and using 6950 card. Not happy, have been emailing AMD support but they have gone quite and are now not returning my emails. funny that! So I'm guessing that the problem will not be fixed. 20. Hi Mustang, I gave your idea a go but did not work still have Flashing White Boxes, I also updated to the latest Cat 12.3 Drivers and still the same. I'm still waiting for AMD to get back to me. 21. Update Flashing White Boxes Hi all. Here is the latest email from AMD Dear Customer, Your service request : has been reviewed and updated. Response and Service Request History: You have an onboard Intel graphics. Please disable the onboard graphics in your System BIOS and also uninstall all Intel Graphics Media Software related to your onboard graphics. In order to update this service request, please respond, leaving the service request reference intact. Best regards, AMD Global Customer Care Here is my reply. Hi Again, I Followed your advise (disable the onboard graphics in your System BIOS and also uninstall all Intel Graphics Media Software related to your onboard graphics). I also installed Cat 12.1 and this did not fix the problem! (still have Flashing White Boxes) I would like to reiterate that I am not the only customer having this issue with the 69xx series cards and this problem does not happen when using Cat 11.6 only releases after Cat 11.6. 22. Hi all, Just tested Cat 12.1 Drivers and I'm sorry to report but the Flashing White Box problem continues in this release too! Please send an email to AMD if you are using 69XX series card and you are having this issue as well. Remember a squeaky wheel gets oiled. Part of the email response from AMD below Dated: Mon, 23 Jan 2012 This is the first time I am seeing the issue; if this has been happening since June then no one is reporting it to the driver team. You can complete these escalation templates and I can have this tested to see if we are able to reproduce this issue. tech.support2@amd.com Windows 7 x64, i5-2500k @ 4.4 with Noctua NH-D14 CPU Cooler ,ASRock Z68 Fatal1ty Pro Gen 3 G.Skill Ripjaws 16gig DDR3,, HD6950 2gb, HOTAS Warthog,Saitek Combat Pedals and TrackIr 5 Using Deadman's Covers and Metalnwood's extension.
  23. HI all, Further update from AMD, while they are still sending emails there is still hope! Look at the text in red, this is why we need everyone who has this problem to send an email to them! tech.support2@amd.com Here is the email from them and my response. Hi, I have sent previous dxdiag and Belarc reports to AMD in a previous email but will re send them again. I have been told by others that they have sent in survey forms to AMD with NO response. I have attached the information you requested. also attached previous dxdiag I sent in one of my emails to AMD. Is this a real Human being reading and replying back to me or is this just a computer generated standard response? Please go to the DCS web site read the Forum on this issue, watch the video of the problem here on youtube. Surely this will suffice AMD with the problem! 24. I would have to agree with you partly Paraglider30! I was really hoping they would have announced the next modern fighter plane in the DCS series (F18 8) carrier ops ). Even some latest patch news for A10C. :music_whistling: FC3 would be a good start. Bring back Fighter against Fighter sooner rather than later with the new DCS engine! There are a few WW2 flight Sim's out to choose from at the moment.....COD, IL2 and Wings of Prey. Kinda over them! The WW2 Fighter plane wheel barrow is warn out for me. It was nice to see ED continuing the Modern Plane Path. I will probably still buy the P-51 just to support ED. I have Lock on, FC1, FC2, BS1, BS2 and A10C so I guess I have been a long time customer of ED and the DCS Series so far.
