169th Stataistics Board up and Running
JaBoG32_Prinzartus replied to Ice's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
Today I visited your server, first time; I played an su-25T SEAD and destroyed 2 GroundTargets (according to ingame Stats), and landed hat homeplate, then I chose a Mig-29 but left the server before taking off. The Stats say something completely different => Stats not reliable ! Your Stats Board says I was killed once. (Well, then how and by whom?!) Your Stats Board says I only killed one Ground Target. ( It was two) -

Hi ED guys, I was running Lomac and FC for quite some time now, but I got a new rig and Starforce is telling me to reactivet the game. I need a friggin Serial number for it, but I have the download version of FC. I also cant find a Serial Number in you online shop?! Pleas hurry! Ahhh* found it !!! It's under DOwnloads, and not Payment... ;o)
-
There is no crack for FC AFAIK, but I think the it is only 15 US Dollars. I payed 35 :( (As long as I dont run out of installation keys, its okay) BTW: Does the download version not exist anymore as an option? I saw in the online store, that ED only sells a CD version now.

I noticed the huge amount of flares of the SUs. Do we have that many in FC, too? Sorry, I did not really count them..

An interface idea for after? Black Shark
JaBoG32_Prinzartus replied to ZoomBoy27's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
Nice idea, if this feature can be switched off. But it would be very cool, if possible to divert the camera view (A-10, Su-25T, BS) to a second screen. The secondary display coul be a small 8"TFT for example or just an old CRT... It would be cool to have special key commands to change the view on the second screen between, MFD, TV-monitor, Instrument-View, or any other pre defined view. Maybe als the outside views like flyby-view. My vision is a small 8th inch TFT Touchscreen that will be programmed with a little (self-made) GUI for key commands. But It would also be grweat to be able to switch between the "self-programmed" GUI and the secondary displays, like Maverick TV-Cam, Instrument closeUpView... Would'nt that be cool ;o) -
Shouldn't the SU33 be able to carry 4x R27ET's?

Hopefully they won't be grounded too... Are the other's too old? -

What is the best joystick for LOMAC

I recommend the X-52 as the cheapest HOTAS based on contact free hall-effect sensors, instead of potientiometers. -
Is there a problem with OSA 9A33??
JaBoG32_Prinzartus replied to Greco's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
Wow, thanks for that analytical observations. Finally, a Bug!! :horseback But we have to admit, that FC only seems to have minor bugs, that are hard to uncover, which is a good sign. :icon_excl -
whare are we going now?
JaBoG32_Prinzartus replied to sixer's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
But I assume there weren't many one on one or 2 on 2 combats without AWACS support on the F-15's side. So, it measn that the surrounding /environment was always prepared to give the F-15 the advantage to succeed, by taking out Sam and then use AWACS with Misisons. So the statistic is rather worthless for Lomac-Modelling. The Reason why the Mig 29 and the Su-27 have good stats in online playing is that they are used with the right tactics. I like the differences of the planes, and everyone has a special advantage. Just learn it, plus the disadvantage of the opponent and use it for your survival. I'd Love to see AEs and R77 on SU's too, but not if they destroy the online gameplay, and I guess the F-15 would be nearly worthless then. And if you cant score with russian planes take the F-15, and score with her. Or try and learn tactics, its frustrating to fight agains active missile spammers, but if you kick one's ass, nothing can beat THAT feeling. -
Semi active A-A missiles
JaBoG32_Prinzartus replied to Ardillita's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
Should a semi active radar A2A missile, then not guide actively to a jammer emitting target? Because it would recieve the radar emissions of the jammer, though in different strenghts and different wavelengths, making the missile's interception course hard to estimate, but it should at least "see" in what direction the target is, even if it is not "enlighted" by radar. Maybe there is still apossibility to get hit if the target does nottur of jammers... Maybe this is implemented already, because I have noticed 27ER-missiles hit planes after I got shot. once or twice... -
True only to some extend. Compare Brook's Law (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brooks'_law) and its meaning for big software development. Adding up software developers does not necessarily lead to proportional faster development, but maybe even to "communication overhead deadlock". So, If you want to use a ot of developers on the same project, you'll have to have to create the structures, and process flow to be able to gain advantage of a high developer number. It means, that there must be well working processes and standards which contorll the communication overhead! Well, and I don't know if ED has some people working on this kind of issues. I can imagine they rather have lots of programmers and modellers, but no one who thinks about new processes on "HOW TO CREATE SOFTWARE". Well as I have no inside to ED at all and don't know even how many people they have working for the "Lock-On" seiries, my assumptions may be completely wrong. They are rather an educated guess, or so.

Jay, would you advise me to use you rtweak with only 1 Gig of Mem also? I'd love to give it a try. But "LargeSystemCache" does not exist anywhere in my registry, at all.

I dunno. I need Ati Tool for dynamic overclocking/underclocking and cooler-control. -
Do you use NewView software, cam2pan, or similar?
