Anti Aliasing Problem
JaBoG32_Prinzartus replied to TheProphet's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Try disabeling the "Catalyst AI" Optimizer. I guess this optin is the problem. Edit: No it was not. I can change to Hgh AA ALT-Tab back to game. I have the Hi settings for about 5 seconds, then something switsches off AA automatically. I think it is ATI Tool. But I cant get AA to work properly anymore now. -

Strange Road Display Error
JaBoG32_Prinzartus replied to JaBoG32_Prinzartus's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
As I stll have the problems w/o any mod and graphics ste to high, I will reinstall Lomac and FC when the patch is out. I gues I tweaked something the wrong way  -
Very nice screenplay, superb shots and good story! Although I have not recognized any fancy video filter effects as in some other movies (Glowing_Amraam, just to mention one). But camera angles and story are more important to such movies I think. But as an extra bonus you could have used some video effects. And the sound, well it was self composed, which I respect. But great (rock) songs bring more atmosphere to the movies, and I assume one is allowed to use such songs, if not for commerce, right? I love the vid. :icon_syda

Anti Aliasing Problem

I know this "automatic" AA switching off problem too. I guess it has something to do with the CAT driver or with the ATI-Tool. I assume you use the ATI Tool too? -
Strange Road Display Error
JaBoG32_Prinzartus replied to JaBoG32_Prinzartus's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
I noticed that the Lomac League Mod for 1.11 and also the FPS TWEAK write a new MEINIT.xml file! So I assume that ModMan overwrites the files when applying the patches, I guess they will not be united somehow. So my question to the makers of these two Mods: What have you changed with the MEINIT.xml and do you see any problems using both mentioned patches? -
Hi, I experienced strange behavour of LOMAC FC when it comes to displaying roads. Some Roads are only displayed in a very specific and small angle. If you move the viewing angle a little, the road is not displayed anymore. This makes ground moving targets hard to find and loets you get lost in a su25T easily. So is it a known "bug" or can it be possible that it has something to do with the "FPS TWEAK MOD FOR FC", which I have installed and does some manipulations on GFX settings. Any ideas? See attached pictures for further problem description. I like my roads persistent! ;)

Full Features at once!! Patchs will be necessary anyway because of bugs. Believe me, they will show up! I prefer sim-features (AFMs, KI) and fps improvements. Better grafix only without performance costs. I was never able to admire high poly models when attacking ground targets, and I always have to "look away" if Su-25T hi-poly models taxi or fly in fromt of me: Designing such models in that detail is unnecessary work. I am completely off topic, I just wanted to share my thoughts.

A question one dares not to make - but must.
JaBoG32_Prinzartus replied to a topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
Thanx for the update :icon_supe Whats the usual testing-phase-duration from one beta "release" to another? And whats the ususal development/coding between beta "releases"? -
TrackIR without TrackIR ? possible.
JaBoG32_Prinzartus replied to zaGURUinzaSKY's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
If you want to buy my cam2pan account (key) let me know. I used Cam2Pan (mousevision.com) before i got my TrackIR. It works with USB WebCam, but is mor CPU demanding than track-IR and used for best performance with a led-mounted-hat! I will give it away for 5 US Dollars or 5 Euros ;o) Anyone interested? Remember: Freelook is free, so you'd better check if U get acceptable results with freelook first. -
Su-25 Campaign: Red Hammer
JaBoG32_Prinzartus replied to MBot's topic in User Created Missions General
What EXACTLY am I supposed to bomb in mission 7 "railway yard at Dzhankoy" ? i hit the train very badly, no sucess. I had even hit one tank, one truck and one (what was ist again?) at next to the train. Mission Goal 0%. -
agreed, some info about wingman logic would be great! For Example: Does the wingman use rarar by default or is he waitning until I tell him to activate radar? What is the Wingman's priority? Does he clear enemy AAA befor attacking primary targets or does he just fly in suicidally?

LOMAC / FC Threaded Programmed ?!
JaBoG32_Prinzartus replied to JaBoG32_Prinzartus's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
No I do not confuse anything (I hope). I very well beleive know the difference between MUlticore or Dual Processors and HT Technology. Explanation: But HT or Multi CPU or Multi Core does not bring great benefits if you are running only one application (and a computer game usually is just one process) which is single threaded. So best performance would be gained having a properly multi-threaded software (in this case Lock-On) to take the full advantage given from technical abilities like Mult-CPU , HT, or Multic-Core CPUs. And it seems, that Lock-On is not multi-threaded. BTW: I really wonder which software is multi-threaded and which is not? So: Am I rigth that software has to be programmed multi-thread oriented to be able to take full advantage of of Multi-CPU technolgy, or am I really mixing different concepts? And I do not mean Multi-Tasking befeits! Multi-Tasking means IMHO working with more than one Windows-Application, which I usually dont do when gaming. -
LOMAC / FC Threaded Programmed ?!
JaBoG32_Prinzartus posted a topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
Do Lock-On or Flaming cliffs use multithreaded execution? I mean is it programmed using the thread concept? -
must have missed them when I first saw the movie.... *mea culpa* BTW: Do draw Storyboards before creating movies? Or do you just begin with selecting Track-Recordings right away? Maybe someone with a great idea can send you his storyboard... I mean maybe a short story like in "holding hands". That short movie tells a story.
-
Next time please at least show some Sukhois at least firing missiles. ;) I miss the story behind the movie. I mean it's not the story of a dogfight or similar, its just "splashes", unrelated to each other, as it seems. But still, video editing of its finest! Just my 2 cents. Excellent work, anyway. :icon_pray

LO 1.2 Black shark DVD version
JaBoG32_Prinzartus replied to a topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
That reminds me of the good ol' times. :icon_supe I loved :icon_syda Strike Commander, especially the story. Wing Comannder Series was also great, at least until WC3. It was not as good anymore without the Kilrathi as enemy. I know its OT but I had to say that! Tnx for listening... eeaarrmm... reading! -
Black Shark: Rotor control?
JaBoG32_Prinzartus replied to zorlac's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
Isn't the throttle normally controlled by by computers with newer (combat) choppers anyway? I mean the pilot only controls the collective and the pitch, and the throttle (engine) will be contolled automatically. -

Su-33 CCRP mode
JaBoG32_Prinzartus replied to S77th-konkussion's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
The Su-33 only had something like ccip mode, but not ccrp. AFAK It still does have this feat, doesn't it? -
Its good to have a russian Flight Sim, because we already had enough titles like F-15 and A-10. Go and ask US companies for a flight sim. They wont do it, because there is not enough money in selling simulations in on the sim market while have to pay western programmers... If the F-15 is sooo weak, then just fly a russian plane, guys. If your kill/death ratio improves, then it is ok. You should not take a weak modelled F-15 not as a personal offence.
