DCSFlightpanels (DCSFP) thread. Saitek Pro Flight Panels & DCS
JaBoG32_Prinzartus replied to ArturDCS's topic in DCS Modding
Hi ArturDCS! In the A-10C with otherwise perfectly working flightpanel I am unable to tune in VHF FM 48,525, However I can tune in 48,500 and 48,550. In the 3D Cockit and / or Aries Radio Panel can tune in that frequency, IIRC. Could you eloborate on this? Is this expected behaviour? -

Input leg? How to tell? Not, if you are talking about Hotas Axes input. -

I got the screen today and DCS @4K does not make any difference, fps-wise with my gtx-970! Well, Gpu runs @100% instead of 97-98%. I absolutely love it, so far. Just did my initial tests in single player. -

Hi Artur. I'd love to have a comment/description textbox for each Panel Button. So, if there are makros or multiple DCSBIOS switches triggered, I coud give the logic behind the button a meaningful description. I think this has worked for the "keyboard emulator-method" but dos not exist for the"dcs-bios method". Two more peanuts I noticed. 1.) Anti Skid Toggle does not seem to work, mybe I am doing something wrong. Any advice? 2.) ENVCP_TEMP_PRESS (3 way sitch) shows a max value of "20" in the GUI Dialog. -

Has this been included into vanilla DCS meanwhile? Or is this Mod still a must have? What do you guys think, about it? -

Hi Milan. I confirmed my order lately, and I beleive the form mentioned some "confirmation email", which I did not receive. Any ideas. Just asking, because I do not want to wait longer than necessary. How can I check whether my order is "official" now. -

Twist one Dial on each panel once, directly before starting DCS World. That has helped in my case to "wake up" each panel. -
Buttkicker Gamer 2 - Whats your settings???
JaBoG32_Prinzartus replied to Deigs's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
I also got my new BK2 attached to my Obuttor R3volution, and it really is nice to feel the landing gear coming up in the Mig-21, Bomb Impacts, 3 seconds after you see them explode, etc... However, the BK experience is very sensitive to Sound-MODs. For instance, there is a great discrepany in bass/low freq noise between A-10C and Huey already with vanilla sounds. I found that with some sound Mods this discrepancy is even bigger. Hence, finding a BK2 Setting, that fits for every DCS-Module is not easy, if possible at all, thats my experience so far. I still keep fiddling with BK2 settings currently. -

I don't use key-mapping at all for the rotaries. It does work with DCS-BIOS natively: For left turn on a hardware Dial assign i.e. "HSI Course Select Knob" with the value "-1500" and for right turn on your hardware Dial assign increase by "1500". Adjusting that values let's you control the sensitivity mapping. -

I got my multipanel delivered today, and I am going to map it to HSI course dial, as well. -

I also just ordered the Philips. Because I currently use Helios and Gauges Export on a second monitor, I wonder If I can run the 4K resolution an keep my HELIOS Touchscreen with one GTX 970? DCS will then run with 3820x3240 (3820x2160+1920x1080) If not, would it work with another GFX Card without SLI? If neither that would work, SLI would be my only chance? Right? -

Loading your Profile does no seem to work. I don't get the "makros" loaded into the GUI. Is that profle bound to some hardware or Device Ids? However, creating a new profile worked. Nevertheless, I'd love to try your profile. -

Pressing thes AVT/STB Button should not only send STBY -> ACTIVE but also vice versa. Hence it should switch those two like STBY <-> Active I beleive that is how it is meant to be. And although it might sound picky but: (1) It allows you always to easily switch back to the previous freqency, in case something went wrong with formation radio checks. and (2) If you only use two channels for your sortie on that specific radio, you only need to tune them in once. However: My first test was almost orga*mic ! A very valuable tool that you have forged here !! -
That's what I was thinking. But then, then why is he assuming a=b?! If you fly stright to a radar SAM and turn by 45 degrees, you not know wether your triangle will be an isosceles triangle, that you are "creating" an isosceles triangle. So, that assumption is wrong, IMHO. Am I right?
-
Nope! Your calculation leading to 20 miles is just the distance that you have flown since your last turn. Hence "a" is 20 miles. You still have no clue how long "b" is. Am I right?

Helios and crazy buttons
JaBoG32_Prinzartus replied to WilloUK's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Thanks, Gadroc. It has helped, somehow. It still feels like those "certain conditions" are checked within DCS and also within the Helios profile itself. That potentially brings something out of sync, from time to time. However, i can live the way it does work now. -
Helios and crazy buttons
JaBoG32_Prinzartus replied to WilloUK's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
I have the similar issue: Let me explain: I use a modified version of LOZ A-10C Profile. With the "Anti Collision Switch" I have the following problem. When I switch this switch to the "up" position directly (!) from within the HELIOS profile, my A-10C properly blinks the Anti Collision Light, works as desired. But, whenever I toggle that switch via its assigned keyboard-key (in my case "d"), HELIOS forces the "Anti Collision Switch" to flip back into down position within millieconds. Any advice? I need to control this switch via keyboard as well.
