  1. Why not make weapons calculations on it's own core, like sounds. Or are ED waiting for EDGE? If you guys holding back for 2 core owners, just make it Automatic, so if there's one more free core, use it?

  3. I could be wrong, but I think you need different port numbers inside a LAN to find other computers. Probably the 'PORT = 10309' in NetView.lua in 'Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\Config' Or 'port = 10308,' in 'User/Saved Games/DCS/Config' network.cfg .
  4. I took several screenshots, I noticed the last 2 A-10's didn't move at all, and there wasn't really any difference for one A-10 still taxiing 50m. So from what I can see, the CPU speed, and Video Memory, are most important.

  7. Looks like #86 on Resolved list is not completed, the R-27ET don't have LA until it's really close. And the F-16 on Track ,AI on High, shoots AIM-120B too early, or the 120B has too small range. F-16 AI High early shooter and R27ET short LA inside range.trk

  9. Could be you need to get closer, within engagement zone is not used anymore. It's called No Escape Zone nowadays, much smaller zone. SA-11 units.miz
  10. Tried to make a Mine Field, but they have too big area explosion, and set off nearby Mines too, too many Mines, and game crash too. At least 60 feet apart is too wide, when normally they explode upwards, and soldiers/vehicles usually survive even 20 feet. Made one mission with a small Mine Field, and expanded it to about 60 feet before I got only a single Mine exploding.   11. Made one mission to test land mines in a mine Field. I think the area damage is too wide, at least 35 feet between Mines where APC's hit them, and result was a crash/freeze every time. No loss of fps that I noticed, until first apc hit a Mine. Mine field test mission.miz
  12. Wasn't even aware there was single landmines in here, my main thought about this, was if you put it in a array, it would be possible without loosing too much fps. I'll probably have to check out how it works out with a few hundred single mines, and see if invisible ones kill too much fps.
  13. Maybe some day in the future? I would like to have the ability to lay long mine-Fields, a long line up to several kilometers, maybe 4 rows, and anti tank, anti personell, or both. Maybe even a customable digital pattern. Could be useful for keeping armored CA units from exploiting, if there are too few on server. And maybe with separate Fence and Signs, to make it possible to make fake Fields too :)
  14. You need to tell what Controls you use, for all we know you try take of with hotas without reconfiging them.
  15. And it's a lot easier to learn if you get Warthog Hotas.
  16. Maybe you played Falcon 4 before? I think thats the keys to change Hud layout, or was it colors? Or maybe just looking for 'Hover' button? :)
  17. I can tilt the table with the joystick, so it's a bit more comfortable than on Picture. Also the big table itself is adjustable in height, so it might look higher than for real.

You put a s-300 unit on map, and below the Country index, you have Unit. <>1 of <>1, then you 'expand' by selecting the second > to <>1 of <> 2, until you get about <>1 of <>10 for a S-300 Group, and just change the unit name , at least 5 different, and can you probably use both type of launchers. If you want more than 6 launchers, just 'expand' Group to more than 10. A SA-3 or S-125 only have 3 different units, Search radar, tracking radar, and launchers. Power supply seem to be integrated with the search Radar. Got a test map with working SA-3. Edit; I see you already got it, I have to learn finishing Reading :) SA-3 units.miz
  20. Got a test mission, where I tested diffferent short range SAM vehicles, and Hawk and Patriot system to make a chopper take evasive action, while I target practise. Edit; Just tested my mission With the M-48 Shapperal, missiles really works better now, the MIM-72G fly to the chopper now (better range) and hit it between flares, maybe too good now, but nice work ED! Ok, now I see, it was pure luck, my first two missiles hit 100% :) SAM Test Mission.miz

One easy way to try out first, is to take one of each unit beginning With S-300..... ,and expand them in a Group, then you can add more launchers, the one with missiles or tubes attached :smartass: I haven't tested how far away you can put units apart, but as long as they are in same Group, probably more than just a few hundred meters.
  22. With some worrying about the Tunguska SA-19 being too accurate, I wonder how this baby will look like, wrapped in armor, instead of just a truckload.
  23. Just hope this is for both sides, not just the S-300 systems, the Patriot radar is a joke atm.

  25. I'm not saying russians don't have, but it's hard to mission makers to make a mission, if old units, behave like new and should look different. Making it impossible to make a mission for older planes. Without having to leave out a bunch of units. And come on, do we have any western units in this sim that can shoot down artillery Shells, mortars, or even bombs in here? Even a Ticonderoga Cruiser is defenseless against 3-4 incoming cruise missiles. (almost pure Luck if it kill more than one of them) Edit; Just checked to see if it's still true, The Ticonderoga Cruiser hits Kh-35 mach 0.7?, 50% of P-500 at range, 4 out of salvo of 8.
