Maybe it's done to attract more gamers from the BF1/4 style, if EDGE can compete, where you need half a magazine to kill a soldier. But then at least there need to be a option for sim players to have realistic dammage too.

I agree, it's like they have 4 extra guys, just looking for missile launches in each sector, you see that when you look at the flare numbers, after a missile launch, the chopper responds 100%. And Stinger don't use any laser, or does it, for range? I still think it's only the signal strength, but you never know.

I used the Afghanistan Stinger, to show that it actually penetrates targets too, not using proximity fuses in front of it, like it do now. To avoid this, they probably used Xor logic, to avoid proximity to premature explode, if seekerhead still have target in front. And the last comment was 'After, they refitted countermeasures, they still downed 200+, in 1987 alone' but I agree they didn't tell how many Stingers they used, could be 250, or even 2500, we won't know for sure. I was under impression the CIA only delivered a few hundred, not thousands, but they could have been extra generous too, after all the US had 2 wars experience, where russian weapons and personell helped , both in Korea and Vietnam. (Russian Mig pilots, Korea, and russians to handle SAM's in Vietnam, that Vietcong soldier was too weak to handle.) Edit; I just read the Stinger actually only shot down 7% of total kills, the rest was high caliber machine guns.( Not meaning it was only 7% hit rate.)

Could be the 3 reflectors thats wearing out, they get reduced efficiency after 2-3 years (or I still used my TrackIr 4 reflectors), or your TrackIr camera is starting to burn out. Maybe try insulate the camera from screen, if screen and camera is getting hot. But I ended up buying a new one, when something like that happened to me too.

What you point out is the problem, the servers usually block luaexport, mainly to hide whats going on so users can't see how advanced players fly, with the Tackview. Or it's simply blocked because it's possible to players to use advanced/selfmade programs to cheat. And by doing this, LotAtc gets blocked too. If this was a module (addon) inside DCS, it could still be used if Luaexport was blocked, i think. And optionally.

Would be nice if this could be a module buildt into DCS, so only mapmakers/servers could make it available, like CA. And be available to everybody on server/sides, instead of just those that have connection/teamspeak to ATC. Maybe with just one active on each side, but everybody else could watch it like Map, if they have the module.

This happens usually below and around cloud level, maybe guesstimating 50-100% above clouds too. I'm no expert, but it would be nice to have it in options.

DCS > Digital Combat Simulator ? I know there's a arkade mode, but i thought in the long run, this 'game' is trying to be a simulator, within reasonable restrictions, to let medium rated computers to join too.

Could be you have looked at Light enhancing camera's, and not a real thermal camera. And the military also usually use a liquid nitrogen cooled camera, thats way better than this civil one. http://www.flir.com/thermography/americas/us/view/?id=58067 And it's not afterburners here, just heat.

With a number of early fighters from 50-70s era, where planes have none or limited range radars, we need a ground radar communication system, on both sides. Would be nice to have it include moveable anti air systems too.

Or the guys making videoes have better hardware than yours? It's still WIP so if you put settings on max, you don't get any warning that graphic card support it or not, unless it crash.

You can risk that windows or DCS can't find the pedals or other devices after a sleep, I never use it on my sim computer after I discovered this myself.

All of us reading the forum knows that, but the kids getting this info from a guy or friend on their school, and buy this thinking they also will get to fly a helicopter or drive a Tank, will not think that was fair.

The trailer sends a wrong message, just after middle of video 1:55, it includes A-10C, UH-1H, and Combined Arms, or is that included too now? Btw I love the new effects from fuel igniting when you hit the fuel tank.

You have BS1 installed before this problem existed?

The 4670K is exacly the same, but without some video processing commands, 4770K if you do a lot of video codec changing or editing.
