  1. Hey guys- Thanks for the great night and talking with you in team speak! (please don't mind my double post)
  2. Hey guys- Thanks for the great night and talking with you in team speak!

  4. I don't want to take place for any of this two sides - but one thing I would like to say/ask... @Quarrion do you think it's really necessary/productive to blame/sue someone even before you know all facts.... Just wondering. Edit:And I don't expect a answer. To be honest: I even can't answer it for myself clearly. But this is something we/you should think about.
  5. No! -you have no clue at all... -It's because Vista is too advanced for the common users, and up to now no hardware manufacture took the time to build a PC that rally fits to the needs of Microsoft. And who needs third party software developers when you have a running Vista setting...?!
  6. I can offer you my help... I also didn't know it 8 month ago....:music_whistling:(Ok- I had some rudimentary knowledge - but I didn't had to use it 10 years...) But it's easier than riding a bike - The challenge is to learn it first a 'little'. -and similar to learning how controlling a bike- it can hurt in the firs time... :) But than you will never forget how it works -for the rest of your life!
  7. Did you also changed the tes in the graphics equivalent? Res in graphics.cfg = secondary width + primary width + secondary width + 2xborderSize. Extrasidewidth = secondary width -(minus) primary width
  8. This is a ready to use HTML code... <p align="center"><font size="4"><strong><font color="#0033CC" face="Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif"><em><font color="#FF0000">+</font>Breaking News<font color="#FF0000">+++</font></em></font></strong><font color="#0033CC" face="Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif"><strong><em>Breaking News</em></strong></font></font><font color="#0033CC" face="Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif"><strong><strong><em><font color="#FF0000">+++</font></em></strong></strong><font size="4"><strong><em>Breaking News</em></strong></font><strong><strong><em><font color="#FF0000">+++</font></em></strong></strong><font size="4"><strong><em>Breaking News</em></strong></font><strong><strong><em><font color="#FF0000">++</font></em></strong></strong></font></p> <p align="center"><font size="5"><strong> <font color="#333333" face="Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif">DCS:Black Shark</font><font face="Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif"><em> <font color="#666666">-English online version available now!</font></em></font></strong></font></p> <table width="641" height="396" border="0" align="center"> <tr> <td width="200" height="392" align="center" valign="top"><a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D68L0ff4II0&feature=related" target="_blank"><strong><font color="#CC6600" size="+1" face="Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif">>>Overvie</font></strong></a><font size="+1"><a href="http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/index.php?end_pos=135&scr=products&lang=en" target="_blank"><strong><font color="#CC6600" face="Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif">w<<</font></strong></a></font><a href="http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/" target="_blank"><img src="http://www.leftside-limited.com/news/DVD%20Box%20Front%20UK%20copy.jpg" width="188" height="308" border="0"></a> <table width="62%" align="center"> <tbody> <tr> <td><a href="http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/index.php?end_pos=135&scr=products&lang=en" target="_blank"><strong><font color="#CC6600" face="Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif">>> Buy</font></strong></a><a href="http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/index.php?end_pos=135&scr=products&lang=en" target="_blank"><strong><font color="#CC6600" face="Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif"> now <<</font></strong></a></td> </tr> </tbody> </table> </td> <td width="0"></td> <td width="432" height="392" align="center" valign="top"><object width="434" height="371"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/JnpgsudqUcA&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/JnpgsudqUcA&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="434" height="371"></embed></object> <br></td> </tr> </table> <p align="center"><font size="4"><strong><font color="#0033CC" face="Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif"><em><font color="#FF0000">++</font>Breaking News<font color="#FF0000">+++</font></em></font></strong><font color="#0033CC" face="Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif"><strong><em>Breaking News</em></strong></font></font><font color="#0033CC" face="Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif"><strong><strong><em><font color="#FF0000">+++</font></em></strong></strong><font size="4"><strong><em>Breaking News</em></strong></font><strong><strong><em><font color="#FF0000">+++</font></em></strong></strong><font size="4"><strong><em>Breaking News</em></strong></font><strong><strong><em><font color="#FF0000">+</font></em></strong></strong></font></p> ...and it should look like this: :smilewink:
  9. my new Dualhead setting - with no(?!) missing textures: Take a notice to the missing picture between the screens - this should help you with your big CTR borders.
  10. Lockon was never done for that- But surprisingly -I don't have these on my screen. and I use my "new" settings I posted above !!!!!!erata!!!!! sideExtraWidth=-265 this is the right value>-256!! .......................^^............. This is wrong!
  11. Was a nice talking to you!:) Ok - now I know why it was not working: Redbarons right CTR only can display 1024x768 in 72Hz ! So he changed the value manual intsted to use the "auto" function. - Softth didn't recolonizes 72Hz -only 85/75/60.... Now try this A) to get a higher resolution in the centre and B) to merge the non-alignment between the screens. (backup your working files!) I highlighted what I chanced! I count for every cm about 28 pixels at a 19" monitor so I would say its about 7 cm in your case. So lets higher the res in the middle screen to 1280x768 and ad a borderSize of 200. (and I added also AA of 2 and a AF of 4 - reset this to 0 if this is too much for the card) This should look like this: Lockon Graphics.CFG file SoftTH.CFG file And here is a working View- and Server.lua to have a better view(so you can look down in cockpit view.). view.lua: server.lua: Report!;)
  12. A 40" LCD TV usally uses a Full-HD reselution and this is normally 1920 x 1080 max Should be really no problem to use a single Geforce 260! Even if you use Higher settings like over 2000 horizental... Max Res: 2560 x 1600 @ 240 Hz (at one head)
  13. Will ask Bob the next days but, I think it's not the"Über" system you might expect. Its more simple as you might think... Only one word: Good Cpu is a 6850 Core 2 duo/ Xp Pro / 2GB Memory / MSI MB 280GTX card. BTW : Here is a thread from the point of view of FS(X) Pilots about the FSX-Party in Bristol at Hovercontrol.com: http://64.34.169.161/cgi-bin/ib3/ikonboard.cgi?act=ST;f=1;t=15597 .
  14. Maybe a little off topic for some of you again...(yes sometimes I'm a little 'jumpy' ;)) But before you exchange your "working" HOTAS against something better and more expensive.... Why not try it with a touch screens?!: >>>http://www.veoh.com/videos/v1627326198keXc3X?source=embed<<< (sorry for the... ahm.. -yes -let's call it: "sound ..-editing" - will do it better next time, promised! ) (they get also cheaper each day...) My opinion?! : The way to go! :joystick:
  15. That's right I don't sell absolute new things. (and you're not dumb! - that means I diden't saw you doing dumb things up to now :D ) I'm looking out to merge the disadvantages of the sticks /controls that are out there (...the "big players" are claiming every time that this is now the real deal/thing...) I'm simply looking for a ergonomic right handling and precision.-and when There is something simple like this out- that also everyone can afford - I will pack my stuff. And enjoying my free time with breeding trout's and playing "Hello Kitty On-line" - like some others are already doing.... But I don't see this up to now... But what I see is that some spend more money in a graphic card that isn't really necessary! Instead putting money into a great ThripleHead set-up(That really brings you really closer to the "real thing" -monitors getting cheaper every day...) or even a better chair (on which they spending so much hoers...but is hurting their back!) And I'm not looking for something that I can put in my living room, but afterwards I'm not able to talk with my girlfriend any more (even if she "the" person with the greatest understanding for me and my "things" up to now) , because IT looks so strange and I'm nuts anyway..., and I also need a transporter only for my flight sticks -If I have to move. Something that you can get partly from some company's but not so easy if you want that all into one controller. And I'm personaly don't like the Idea to fly a helicopter-sim in a style like you would do it when you are training for a Airbus A380 piloting licence...;) About the FFB.... Maybe I will start a poll someday...-and when I do this I need more help than I have up to now...;) Edit: Holy Cow!!! I didn't know what to put in my "philosophy" section up to now.....! Up to Now! :)
  16. Sorry if some of you maybe misunderstanding this post as a advert of my stuff - and he could be maybe partly right...,but @MadTommy Please take a visit at my site - and you will see that I had the same questions some years ago... but didn't found anything that 'really' fitted my needs (and my bank account ;) ) . After I got a beta of BS-last year - I couldn't deny any longer that all the controls that I had didn't made the job right... Saying this, I don't mean the absolute replica - I just looked for controls that do the job right! I didn't found them (for the money I was able to spend for it)...(especially a collective) So I changed them first only for myself and than for some of my buddy's... -and now I do it for everyone! :P. Please Take special attention to my 'project' site. there you can see some Ideas about how the perfect home-sim-stick should be. I don't want to convince someone to buy from me - I'm every time really happy If I see someone in these forums starting also to do something similar for his own! ...and I have some of my best moments if I'm able to inspire someone.:) Last edit: And I'm still working on the "Right" controls !
  17. Hope you getting better soon! If this will not help....than I don't know. What I described above runs flawless at my XP system - and there is no known issue what prevents it to do the same at a Vista system AFAIK. If you have still no luck : Go to http://www.kegetys.net/forum/index.php?board=1.0 and describe this problem with a quote or link to this 'conversation'. Give me a note if you doing this and you get no answers- I will call special forces... But double-check first that you followed my steps carefully and the mistake is not caused by yourself. I detonated via Paypal for SoftTh .... -and everyone should do the the same if you are enjoying this fine piece of free software -even if its 'only' 3 bucks... !;) I think Keijo "Kegetys" Ruotsalainen could need this. (just look at his old CTR's in his pictures and Vids...But they do the Job!) http://www.kegetys.net/SoftTH/
  18. Pleas discuss these topics in this thread http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=32237- this will help others to find quickly for what they are searching. If you have a question put it also first in the other thread - I will post then a conclusion in this thread (like I did before) if we found a answer.... or not. Thanks -
  19. Please make sure you connect your monitors on your card like I did: Than adjust your screens like this (Two options): -also set AF and AA to application controlled and use the "performance" setting in your the GeForce control panel ! Two times 1280 x 1024 ...or.... two times 1024x768 ...it depends on what your monitors are able to. -also set AF and AA to application controlled and use the "performance" setting in the GeForce control panel ! Than make sure that all SoftTh 1.07b files are in the FC root folder (mine:G:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\Lock On) After you have done this copy this text in your softth.cfg: ; ; SoftTH configuration file ; by Kegetys <kegetys[ät]dnainternet.net> ; [config] ; deviceIDLeft/right: Direct3D device ID's of left and right monitor, or 'auto' for automatic ; secondaryWidth/Height: Left & right monitor resolution, or 'auto' to use same as middle screen resolution ; secondaryRefresh: Refresh rate of left & right monitors, or 'auto' for automatic ; secondaryFormat: Secondary device image format, 'RGB32', 'RGB16' or 'YUV12'. ; antialiasing: Level of forced anti-aliasing ; anisotropic: Level of forced anisotropic filtering ; borderSize: Size in pixels of frame border between monitors that is discarded ; noHotkeys: Set to 1 to disable all hotkeys deviceIDLeft=-1 deviceIDright=auto secondaryWidth=auto secondaryHeight=auto secondaryRefresh=auto secondaryFormat=RGB32 antialiasing=2 anisotropic=4 borderSize=50 sideExtraWidth=0 noHotkeys=0 [Direct3D] ; ** Advanced setting for Direct3D games ** ; cylindicalCorretionAngle: Amount of cylindrical correction done, use with sideExtraWidth ; hideNondefaultDevices: Hides all but the default adapter from the game ; forceHorizontalFOV: Forces horizontal FOV to be three times as wide ; forceResolutionWidth/Height: Forces device to be created with this resolution ; force16bitDepth: Force game to use 16bit depth buffer, can improve performance and reduce memory use ; sleepBeforeRead: Time in ms to sleep before reading back buffer data from video card ; useMultihead: Uses multihead features of primary card if available, can increase performance and reduce memory use ; Set to 2 to force multihead initialization even if game doesn't create device with TH resolution ; delayedPresent: When useMultihead enabled, delay primary monitor present to sync with secondary head ; swapOrder: Swap order at which the frame contents are copied ; autoSquash: Automatically squash output to middle monitor if only pretransformed (GUI) elements are drawn ; d3d8dll: Path to D3D8.dll/D3D9.dll to use or auto for automatic (system32 dir) cylindicalCorretionAngle=0 hideNondefaultDevices=1 forceHorizontalFOV=0 forceResolutionWidth=0 forceResolutionHeight=0 force16bitDepth=0 sleepBeforeRead=2 useMultihead=1 delayedPresent=1 swapOrder=0 autoSquash=0 d3d8dll=auto [hooks] ; Win32 API hooking settings - Used for some extra compatibility and game-specific fixes ; doHooking: Enable/disable hooks in Direct3D, with OpenGL hooks are always enabled ; doScaleMouseCoordinates: Scale mouse coordinates for getCursorPos to fix games which do not handle negative screen coordinates properly ; doScaleFromLeftScreen: Spread out mouse coordinates from left screen to full width ; doScaleWindowRects: Scale game window rectangle to triplehead size ; mouseXoffset: Number of pixels to offset mouse cursor position in X axis, to fix misplaced cursor due to negative screen coordinates. auto = use X resolution doHooking=1 doScaleMouseCoordinates=0 doScaleFromLeftScreen=0 doScaleWindowRects=0 mouseXoffset=auto ; Triplehead screenmodes to add to resolutions list (width multiplied by 3 and border added) ; Must be last in this file [modes] 640x480x60 640x480x75 640x480x85 800x600x60 800x600x75 800x600x85 1024x768x60 1024x768x75 1024x768x85 1280x960x60 1280x960x75 1280x960x85 1280x1024x60 1280x1024x75 1280x1024x85 1600x1200x60 1600x1200x75 1600x1200x85 Next step is to edit your graphics.cfg. Use this If you are using the two times 1024x768 res: DisplayMode { resolution = {1024, 768}; bpp = 32; fullscreen = 1; aspect = 3.847; Interface { resolution = {1024, 768}; bpp = 32; fullscreen = 1; aspect = 3.847; } Simulation { resolution = {3172, 768}; bpp = 32; fullscreen = 1; aspect = 3.847; And this if you are using the two times 1280x1024 res: DisplayMode { resolution = {1024, 768}; bpp = 32; fullscreen = 1; aspect = 3.847; Interface { resolution = {1024, 768}; bpp = 32; fullscreen = 1; aspect = 3.847; } Simulation { resolution = {3940, 1024}; bpp = 32; fullscreen = 1; aspect = 3.847; And finally - for more convenience in the cockpit - change these values in these two files in the \Lock On\Config\View folder view.lua -- Camera view angle limits {view angle min, view angle max}. CameraViewAngleLimits = {} CameraViewAngleLimits[PlaneIndex.iSu_27] = {20.0, 280.0} CameraViewAngleLimits[PlaneIndex.iSu_33] = {20.0, 280.0} CameraViewAngleLimits[PlaneIndex.iSu_25] = {20.0, 280.0} CameraViewAngleLimits[PlaneIndex.iSu_39] = {20.0, 280.0} CameraViewAngleLimits[PlaneIndex.iMiG_29] = {20.0, 280.0} CameraViewAngleLimits[PlaneIndex.iMiG_29K] = {20.0, 280.0} CameraViewAngleLimits[PlaneIndex.iA_10] = {20.0, 280.0} CameraViewAngleLimits[PlaneIndex.iF_15] = {20.0, 280.0} server.lua -- Camera angle limits {horizontal angle max, vertical angle min, vertical angle max} CameraAngleLimits = {} CameraAngleLimits[PlaneIndex.iSu_27] = {200.0, -120.0, 90.0} CameraAngleLimits[PlaneIndex.iSu_33] = {200.0, -120.0, 90.0} CameraAngleLimits[PlaneIndex.iSu_25] = {200.0, -120.0, 90.0} CameraAngleLimits[PlaneIndex.iSu_39] = {200.0, -120.0, 90.0} CameraAngleLimits[PlaneIndex.iMiG_29] = {200.0, -120.0, 90.0} CameraAngleLimits[PlaneIndex.iMiG_29K] = {200.0, -120.0, 90.0} CameraAngleLimits[PlaneIndex.iA_10] = {200.0, -120.0, 90.0} CameraAngleLimits[PlaneIndex.iF_15] = {200.0, -120.0, 90.0} After you hit quickstart you should see hopefully something like this(and hopefully not also so blurred like my pictures :) ): Attention !: I added already a "borderSize" of 50 to the softth and graphics cfg. This will help you to merge or reduce non-alignment of the rendered picture between your screens. In clear words: 50 horizontal pixel are missing at the edges! And I added anisotropic filtering of 4 and also a antialiasing of 2 to the softth.cfg ! Your card should handle this - even at higher res than two times 1280x1024 ! If you have problems reduce first the "secondaryFormat=" from RGB32 to RGB16 (My system crashes at YUV12!!) - If that dident help try lowering water and so on ... in FC. Keep in mind that Your card is already rendering the missing left screen - but "She" doesn't know where to put the data... ...and please don't ask me how to use the GUI after you returned from you mission.:D A hint: get a another(weaker) card and a third screen! Now Enjoy watching your wingman to the right! :) Please report!
  20. Ok- I'm home now. I will try to simulate your system By using 'only';) to screens on a 8800 GT in dual head configuration and after I had it working I will give you a download link of my: View.lua/Softth.cfg/graphics.cfg That you are able to copy it in your LockOn-FC version Just Give me one hour...:joystick: In the meantime: please post your system specs! Don't forget the native resolution of your screens! and your FC version. :) Edit: It has to work!
  21. edit: Maybe Found your mistake: SoftTh log file: 0.265 SoftTH: sideExtraWidth autodetected as 85 (1280x1024/1024x768 ) Why you are using 1024x768 at the side while having 1280x1024 in the middle?- your card is strong enough for 1280/1024 at both! Use the auto function ! Use one resolution for both. And than start to tweak -Instead of doing something that you don't understand until now... ;) If you using two different res in FC you need also a different value in the Grafics.cfg for 1280x1024 in the middle and 1024 x768 at the sides would be the correct value in the Graphics.cfg: 3328x1024 And so on....
  22. Every thing looks OK - except the version of SoftTh and the logfile... Please download the 1.07 and do every thing I wrote you again. Off course with the right resolutions values instead my example. If than SoftTh still crashes swap the -1 to the other side monitor. than try again. Also go into the option menu of FC and choose 3072x1024 from the resolution list. - than exit -correct aspect ratio and resolution in -display and -interface mode in the graphisc.cfg of FC. And try again. Yesterday I had no problem to run FC with two monitors at one GFX in FC with SoftTh 1.07. Keep in mind: I have XP - (but it should work the same in Vista) I'm right now at work so every thing is out of my mind...
  23. Please post your softth.cfg and softth.log and you graphics.cfg. So I'm ore someone else is able to help you. And if you don't mind:please delete your redundant post in the multimontor faq thread.
