It was Mon 17 Nov 2003 - GER/Hannover in a hotel at the Airport. Once before their concert. To show them first examples of printings and then after Their concert at the "Eilenridehalle" to show them the finished One. And then we stayed the night... I worked in Hannover as textile printer/color separation maker..... And the company where I worked was involved in the European merchandise. And I wasn't able to visit the show - I had to work! But I saw them already 4 times anyway.

Good one! Reminds me to bring my old CD's and Vinyl's out of the cellar and catalog them in my mp3 collection. Edit: BTW I had the opportunity to met Bruce and Steve twice (!) . And not in a concert - No- in a bar and talk about T-shirt printing. Yes -you are right: I'm blessed ! :D And we also talked about Aviation and Flightsimming - Bruce is Pilot himself. OK - he might not remember anymore: it was late:beer:.

Black Shark Techdemo - Trim with Force Feedback
urze replied to urze's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
I fear it's not the Problem of Eagle Dynamics- it's mostly the problem of the hardware manufacturer an how their implemented drivers translate the FFB data. I can tell you only what I do in the last years and advice you to do the same: I write polite emails to the manufacturer and address the problem precisely, and add also links to discussions in forums. If you do the same please don't expect a answer (but sometimes you will). Just hope that they will realise some day how important accuracy and FFB for Flight simmer is. I believe that in Hawx (http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=33495) you will not have such problems...:music_whistling: :) -
Nice workaround! +1:thumbup: If some don't understand why that's such a good tweak: Just watch this video in my initial post : http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=33221 Edit:Now we need a same tweak for rudder pedals!

Black Shark Techdemo - Trim with Force Feedback
urze replied to urze's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Yes, that's true. I found no alternative for the MS Sidewinder FFB 2. All other products out tere I tested / disassembled are not precise enough (unacceptable dead zone) or have a very jumpy response... Unfortunately the production of the Sidewinder FFB2 has stopped. If you want read more/ see another video of the FFB use in Products of Eagle Dynamics - jump to this thread: Cougar with FFB - http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=33320 -

Sorry, but you are still not very precise (please understand- I want to help): -I use no vsita. - which wide-screen video?! Again: You are not able to use "span mode" in vista - "dual mode" allows not to show one DirectX application on both screens. And up to now I didn't made a video of MS FS. This is not my video. -
Man... I can tell you ! That's excellent stuff! I have also a whole bag of this herb at home....

Can You write again your question in more simple words... I Highlighted the terms that I don't understand fully and could lead to a misapprehension ( I'm native German). But my first impression is that You think : You can use it similar like in MS FS? Am I right? (be aware that MS MS don't really use the features that I showed in my vid >>>Head Tracking and Touchscreen) Edit: ...and you are not able to use MS FS in a similar way when using "dualscreen". You can only open windows with a steady position. This forbids the use of a head tracker on more than one 'window' but still very impressive when it's well arranged! : >> http://de.youtube.com/watch?v=A3jpG3rv4zI -
My Nipple just fell off ???
urze replied to Phantom_Mark's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Goggle for nipples: Type "Buy nipples" for instance. I would like to do it really my self but the parental control my parents installed on my system does not allow such a search! :dunno: -did you succeed? -please report! :)seriously: just use a little piece of a cable isolation made out of silicone. This should do the job. Have to move on... -
I like the overall idea... Look at hovercontrol. com - they do something similar . But his would also mean that only a CheckRide with a Instructor could guarantee this. Therefore you need a reliable staff, and this could much more workload than running a squad, ad so on... Maybe we will see this some day here.

Dear Focha, Fist of all : Nice to see you on this Bord as 'active' member! :) To answer your question you should move to this thread in the tech section of this forum: Cougar with FFB http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=33320 In my initial post you are able to reach a self explaining Video that shows the FFB features of Lock On and Black Shark. Cheers

There is nothing worse about a Helicopter or Harrier . Its worse that humans still believe to be able to control everything !:music_whistling: ;)

Recommended training before Black Shark arrives?
urze replied to McVittees's topic in DCS: Ka-50 Black Shark
I know that you would like to have other answers, but I think the most important skill you need is to be patient. Being Patient waiting for it. Being Patient get the KA-50 systems running. Being Patient to learn to control the KA-50 safely. One thing that helped me (when I look back): Rudiment knowledge how to operate a helicopter in general. I would advise you to go to http://www.hovercontrol.com/ and get their free helicopter addons that lift the modeled flight model immense in MS FS ( but still not near Black Shark;)) And Visit also the forum of HC http://64.34.169.161/cgi-bin/ib3/ikonboard.cgi ! A excellent database with many RL helicopter pilots as members that are very friendly to newbies! -
If it should be a 'quality' release there is no way around creating new textures!

Every touchscreen (AFAIK) will work also in a DirectX application. And also in span mode when you running Windows XP. I don't know why and who's Idea it was : But some "Genius" decided to remove the 'span' feature from Vista! You can only run the 'Dualmode' in vista - and this allows not to expand the Direct X Application to go over 2 or even more screens. Before you spend money: a)Do a test/or make sure you can bring it back! b)And make yourself sure that it has Drivers for XP! If you fear that you can only run the supported resolution of your smallest screen(usaly the Touchscreen): There is a 'little hack' that allows you to override this - and you can run a 1680x1050 res on a native 1024x768 touchscreen. -Just go through my posts and you will find the answer. (I'm just too lazy to search the post now ;) ) Last Tip: I manly post in the Tech section of this forum. In my opinion/experience is the way to use the windowed mode function a bad approch up to now: A overall Bad Performance (but his could Change the next years - but we have to wait..). But I really appreciate the creativity of some Members in going this way and find workarounds! -
Thanks! And I can get it much bigger if you want : Max res 5040x2100 :music_whistling: But then my eyes will not catch up every text line...

A clear NO! BTW 'Blueprints?!! - I never had/did some - I have to cut them out of my brain first. :) Sorry Necroscope, but please understand that I have also a real tiny financial interest in doing a mod like this. See my Site: http://www.leftside-limited.com/ -Oh wait!- Look at my Toutorial roadmap: Something i will do in cold long Winter nights. But when You examine the pictures carefully you should get really quick behind the "magic". ;)

Thank you all for your kind words ! :) No, it doesn't! If I would like to simulate controls of a Airbus I would use a Competition Pro and add a twist grip to it.;) Edit: But I'm still able to lead the Poti and the Triggers that are normally at the Sidewinder outside and use them for 'homemade' rudder or additional switches attached to the base... There are so many possibilities! Sorry for my Stupid question: Did you miss the Vid? No mechanical problems - moves really smooth. OK the overall force of the Stick is a little reduced due to the weight and extension - but sufficient to give you a good felling how the trim is set in LockOn and Black Shark. And You have a nice vibration/shaking while overG/Stall maneuvers in Lockon. (...reminds me to hide it when I leave my flat while my Girlfriend stays at my home :D ) For instance: When you Fly really slow in LockOn or a Kubilt (or similar) the force goes nearly away for the period you have no drag at your wings. When you fly really fast (near Mach 1.5) it gets really Stiff. Adds so much to the immersion! Eagle Dynamics did a really great job with pprogramming the FFB! It's not only a nice "Feature" - it really help you to control the Aircraft! Edit This is a experience I don't have in other Sims this way. I Saw some people say/post that they are missing the Vibration / Shaking while flying (See IL2). My answer is : leave that better to a Buttkicker > http://www.thebuttkicker.com/ or even (when you can afford) to a moving Plattform like the D-BOX > http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=33332. (Hey Santa do you read it? ^^^^ :) ... you still have time - and I promisse: I will stop to anger the Cat of my neighbor ! :music_whistling:) No real Pilot would like to have a always shaking Stick in his hand - There are dampers in real controls that compensate it. I can only reapeat what BTTW-DratsaB already wrote: Should I really answer you here in Public?! ... OK... sorry HPO! - but I really mean your SU-27 Stick. I hope you aren't upset now! :smilewink: BTW : Really enjoined our gathering at the FS-Weekend.
