Sorry, but thats not right. I'm able to span across monitors with different native resolutions and even up scale the res in XP- That means that I run a 1600x1080 on a native 1024x768 screen. Black Shark is set to 1680x2100 in the options while in full screen.

It will not work in Vista and also not in Windows 7 in full screen!!! You have to stay with XP if you need the span mode! That's not the fault of Nvidia nor that you could uncover this with a Tweak or so. It just because Microsoft decided to drop this Feature because of DRM!! Imagine that someone would show (or even capture) the Half of a Disney video on a monitor in a format that was not certificated for the Movie because it belongs not to the standard of DigitalRightsManagment ! Ok - To be Honest: There are one or two "secrets" to get this done (That leads to the fact that I get better FPS wit 6screens than with 3 :shocking:!!!!)- But I will uncover them in the upcoming tutorial when it's time. And I'm running XP. And again: It's more a question of CPU power than of the used GPU in BlackShark. Every modern GPU (8800GT and up) should be capable to handel a set-up like mine easily!

I'm using in the video one (!) 8800GT and two Matrox TH2GO units and get 30+ FPS. Settings: It works for the simulation also with SoftTh 1.09 but than I need 3 graphic cards and than I get frames from 20 to 30. Yes, thats right. Overall resolution: 3840 x 2048 px ,-------,,-------,,-------, l..19...ll..22....ll..19...l '-------''--------''-------' . ,-----,,------,,-----, . l.15..ll..17..ll.15..l . '-----''-------''-----' ...............^Touch screen (Screen#2 is 1024x768 and #3 is a thing I will write about later :music_whistling:)

Goteron, you must judge yourself - I posted the images above to help you a little. The display isn't "that Bad"- but it's only 640x480. You must know that I'm using BS on a resolution of 3840x2048 on my setup together with a touchscreen. I can clearly read all instruments without a problem any time - and without zooming in.And my Display covers 45° of my field of view in front of me. (example Video) - so VR goggles are not a option for me up to now. Unless the res of them is better and a camera on them can track my hand and project a "virtual finger" into the goggles that I know witch switch I'm using. I couldn't imagine to step back to a smaller res any more. But if you are planning to get this goggles only for the joy of flying without the need to get every information from the instruments or using the Abris efficient with these goggles - its pure fun! Like I wrote above: I used similar goggles (also with 640x480) at the ILA last year with MSFS. The feeling was very good! -but I wasn't really able to read the instruments clearly. I could only guess about my exact altitude and heading while looking into the virtual cockpit of a Cessna 182.

This is my "simulation" what you would see with them in BS while having your hands at the Keyboard. So there should be no problem to 'look down' and refocus the eyes for the keyboard and use it without problems. I used similar goggles on the ILA. But keep in mind that you will have a hard time to read the instruments/identify mission-objectives - because the VR920 has res of 640x480. Below you see a sreenshot of BS that I scaled down to this size that you can see what you will get. There is no doubt at all that it adds much to your immersion - but not the best if you really need to read all info you get from the instruments/HUD. Maybe wait until a better resolution on a responsible price is available. 640x480:

Hi ruprecht, First: Nice Setup!:thumbup: I'm afraid that you will get no better frame rates unless you turn off the windowed mode and get to full screen. But Vista don't let you use the span mode - only dual head is possible (because of DRM) - you would only be able to use a single screen in the simulation under vista in fullscreen. To get three (or more screens) with acceptable frames (I'm taking about 30+)working you would need to use Matrox's TH2GO or SoftTH+XP. But you wouldn't be able to have the Abris/Shkval at a separate 4th screen - Its simply not possible with the present Hardware and engine of BS - AFAIK. Hello Cezar11, Keep in mind that you need a lot stronger springs for the base- so that the finished mod will have still a self centring stick. And the curve of the rod and also the position of the Grip must be very well balanced. Without stronger springs it would be nearly impossible to fly "hands off" with a helicopter... look this video.( the part wit the 31cm extension will explain why you need stronger Springs.) I didn't answer because: -I didn't found the time. -it was absolute off topic in the "Alternative for a Homebuilt Cockpit thread" -I can not calculate the costs for a mod that will maybe not work as planned. -and finally I get every day some mails where the questions goes similar like: "I like your stuff but I need something different. Can you give me the plans and I will get/do the parts myself?..." (:)please don't get me wrong about this - just try to understand me...) If you would get a Standard extension from me you would have already working nuts and also a already extended 5pin connector. Than you only have to get a curved tube yourself and could decide yourself If you need stronger springs for the base.

Hello all ! Yes some of the things that the people are writing is right and I also want to apologize for my late response. I did some mistakes... First of all : I don't plan to do a financial fraud! To tell long story short: I between the years I send a many quotations to people that wanted to become customers. Most of the quotations I wrote where accepted and are paid in advance. But now I'm in a similar situation like the sorcerer's apprentice in the fairy tale. I have now more orders that I'm able to handle at the given time frame (the delivery time I gave the people in the Quotations). If that is not enough I was also forced to stay 350km away at home the last two weeks because of a unexpected family affair. (I didn't had a regular Internet connection at the place where I stayed and only my ipod-touch to track incoming mails.) And the guy that helped me regular with the Leftside-Limited things in his free time the last three month isn't able to do it any further anymore because he becomes a father... It was also planed that I get most of my needed parts from a Metalworker company here in Berlin - to disburden me from the workload - but they got a very big order from a regular customer and they put me aside for another month (manly because I'm doing only "wired toys" and they aren't able to earn really money with me). I don't write this to to make an excuse about my behavior- I just want to give you the facts that lead to the situation that I'm one month to be behindhand with the delivery of 10 orders. I made last December most of my plans without counting in that things aren't working as planed... Since yesterday I'm back in Berlin to get all things done right. I will contact all of you that are waiting for a response for so long now at this weekend. But I also need some time for it. (I normally get around 20 Mails each day and at the weekends even more beside the regular customer requests...and right now I have over 200 unanswered Mails.) That's the honest response I can do in this thread and I will not discuss this further in this threat or any forum. I will also send everyone his money back (as I did already in some cases) If you want to cancel your order. I'm sorry for the inconvenience that some of you having with me right now. I don't want to hold back this video any longer -even if the whole "Multi Monitor Touchscreen Tutorial" isn't finished up to now: Overview Part1 Overview Part2 (don't miss to check "watch in HD") If Eagle Dynamics keeps on to make us happy with such wonderful simulations like Black Shark, this set-up should be very future proof for upcoming vehicles. Edit: After watching the vids myself the first time on youtube- I noticed that the video is a little "jumpy" when choosing the HD option. But I can assure you that this has something to do with re-decoding of the vids for youtube. DCS runs on my system with almost stable 30FPS in urban areas.

Hi, (don't miss to examine the initial post #1) As I'm right now "knee-deep" in work , I find not really the time to be here at the forums as present as I would like to be... but, I'm right now in talk with some company's to make things like the FFB Cougar happen. What I need would be a small number of "volunteers" who would like to have this mod... And this is not meant that I want to collect money or something... All I need are serious meant E-mails with the contend that you would like to purchase one of it. That would help me to convince someone to do this "experiment" with me. If all works out as planned I would sell the first mods of this kind only for the material costs (with or without the Cougar - you can add/remove the cougar afterwards without problem within minutes) to the 10 first people how mailed me. :thumbup: It makes me very happy to see that others do the same. (But ... Why did you go only the half way and didn't extended also the shaft?) BTW : It works also wit a MS SW FFB-Gameport model. You need only a cheap soundcard with a Midi/Gameport. (A USB to Midi connector will not work.)

Hello Iamzorg, To give you a working SoftTh.cfg for BS or FC I need a list of modes that your monitors support under XP (Resolution/refresh rate). And I Highly recommend to connect to Two monitors at your Primary GPU. (This saves a lot of your PCI Bandwidth and Ram workload.) BTW: BlackShark runs like a Charm with SoftTh 1.08 !:) This will also help you to set a correct FOV/Aspect for BS/FC: http://www.leftside-limited.com/misc.html

That's what everyone has to choose for himself (and there is no clear answer >>> more possibility's = more concerns .... :P) but you can override our settings easily by checking "use these options for all missions" in the options menu's >Gameplay< tab. Hope that this answer helps you.
