  1. Please be patient) New popping sounds will be in next update, I think
  2. My friends, ofcourse evrth will be updated ) also in the next updates there will be small changes to the sound of spitfire
  3. Sorry :) we are just trying to make everything as realistic as possible. therefore, the volume of the switches cannot be loud by default. I hope the new feature with "Switches" slider wil help u By default - No. They will have to make minor edits. Sorry, not all tests passed. Please, be patient
  4. And you should record at different rpms and different distances the reflection of sound from different objects: ground, trees, buildings, etc. :D
  5. exactly. the reality is that no one wants to risk the huge price of an engine and a plane to record sounds
  6. I would like to see how you record the second part of your list :megalol:
  7. It is a topic about Spitfire's sounds. You can always open a new topic and chat about who earns what and how much ;)
  8. there are about 3 000 km between us and TFC. And, again, the pilot always has its own program. And a huge responsibility. When he can and wants, he helps. But he is not obliged. By the way, not every airplane can record "All RPMs" on the ground :) up to 2000 maximum and rarely anyone can afford it. More often there are idle and 1000+
  9. We re-checked the problem. And also we asked the real pilot as it should be. He replied that low propeller frequencies would be heard if flying side by side. That's what we have now. Although, I can agree with you that it would be possible to make them a little quieter. But I can’t do this only for such a situation. I can reduce all sounds that fall through the canopy into the cockpit. But I listened to how now you can hear the planes flying over me, if I am sitting in the cockpit at idle, and also tried to throw a bomb near the plane. And I must say that I even wanted to raise the volume level of external sounds, and not lower it. In general, as a result, we decided to leave the volume level of external sounds as is. This is also a solution :)
  10. here you need to understand that we can’t buy a plane and do what we want with it. The pilot is doing his job. And we can run around and record something. We can ask him to record something, but he may refuse. He has his own program and for us he is not obliged to change it.
  11. Ok, we'll re-check this problem in the air with the same power.
  12. Sorry, but can't agree with that. I have the audio records from spitfire, mustang, p47 cockpit during the air show. While they warmed up the engine on the ground, other planes flew over them. And they were very well heard with a closed canopy. But if you have any of your own references with a good audio recorder - please let me listen to them. Perhaps something in a particular airplane can be tuned.
  13. Dear all, DСS should not be limited to just my sounds. Everyone has different tastes. Some people like the sound of YouTube. Some people like over-compressed sounds. Some people like something else ... Please use sound and other mods if you like them. It's ok. The pilot will hear the other planes in the cockpit, If the engine is not at maximum. Do you hear the other planes with engine at maximum in DCS?
  14. Hello, thanks. Yes, it's mine track. But in your version the quality of the track is spoiled somehow. Maybe compressor or smth... Compare with original especially loud parts of the track :)
  15. Please make a track. Preferably short :) Perhaps your camera was moving toward the plane, increasing speed between objects.
  16. Thank you very much, guys. I double-checked, you turned out to be right. This is a bug. We'll fix it. Thanks for your report! Do you speak about "Crackling" sound - ...\LockOnExe\Sounds\Effects\Aircrafts\Engines\PackardMerlinProp\Cockpit\CracklingIn.wav ?. I know It’s hard to find it on YouTube. Because you shouldn't throw gas sharply. For this, the owner of the plane will not praise the pilot) But recently the likelihood of making this sound and other "Pop"-sounds has been slightly reduced. I'm not sure if this hit the current beta
  17. Many thanks :) Glad to read it ) It is quite difficult to find the time to edit the "old" modules. A lot of work with different errors, tasks and new modules. But I think that when such an opportunity appears again, I will remake German planes first. They were made much earlier, and for a long time requires rework
  18. Sorry, but I think you use some of sound mods or maybe you don't have the last beta update. Maybe try to repair your dcs version. There are no jet sounds in spitfire now
  19. Partly from our old sound recordings, partly from other sources. Time goes by, equipment is being updated, full recording capabilities also depend on a large number of factors.
  20. Nice. It will appear in next updates. We have some problems with panning in the sound engine in the cockpit, which we know how to solve, but unfortunately it takes a lot of time, which our main programmers don't have yet :) But I hope they get to that soon too) The sound range is limited to 0dB. This is the main reason. In real life, we can hear the difference between loud, very loud, and "AaaAaaAa my eardrums burst I can't hear anything!!!", there are no limitations. But we have limitations in sound cards and speakers that we cannot jump through. And to show the huge difference between idle and maximum, we have to lower the idle volume. Despite the fact that the idle mode seems quiet, the difference between it and the maximum should be 2 or even more times higher than it is in DCS. This is a very difficult balance. So we make a believable sound. And you can reduce the volume of the switches in the audio settings (it seems to me that this feature has not yet been included in the beta, but it will be soon)
  21. Thanks. Please try replacing the file ExIn4.wav with this one: https://www.dropbox.com/s/wujrhw3wtjltrpt/ExIn4.wav?dl=0
  22. Thanks ) The sound of the propeller goes in all directions and it is much louder on the side than in the front and back. Perhaps you hear it. But I will recheck yet, thanks for the report
  23. Are you sure this is the sound of an engine, not a propeller?
  24. Yes, Mustang has its own sounds. Cockpit sounds have been slightly modified to match our new cockpit sound recordings from the real P-51 cockpit. If you notice any error, please provide details (with tracks or video)
  25. The sound in the cockpit is based on the sounds we recorded from a real spitfire IX cockpit. it sounds exactly as implemented.
