  1. Do you mean that "ratchet" sound that we implemented in L-39? If yes, and if you have worked near F16 for a long time, could you help us? because we do not have a single shutdown video from close range (and this sound cannot be heard from a long distance) So if yes, please answer is it like in my video for L-39? The sound should last the same amount of time? so long?
  2. We have already spoken about the starter, please listen to real recordings from the cockpit: https://forums.eagle.ru/forum/english/dcs-world-war-ii/dcs-p-47-thunderbolt/279312-engine-sound-or-the-lack-of?p=6265388#post6265388 Tire noise sound reduced already. But I'm afraid that you will get this update only with a new branch version. While you can use the temporarily solution: https://forums.eagle.ru/forum/english/dcs-world-war-ii/dcs-p-47-thunderbolt/bugs-and-problems-an/283368-cannot-reproduce-tire-noise-way-too-loud?p=6454976#post6454976 I hope other 170+ sounds for P-47 are in sound balance ;)
  3. Sorry, don't know. I'm in sounds and music :)
  4. Please explain what do you mean? The sound of the radial engines?
  5. I will adjust the volume of it a little later. Many thanks for your report
  6. The wind rush effect on the ground is very noticeable too if you increase the RPM. But yes, it is almost silent with Idle RPM. In this case, I can make it more noticeable. Many thanks for your report
  7. Because we ourselves recorded the sounds of the starter, which is implemented in our DCS model :smilewink:
  8. Thanks for your video and for your report. I think you are right and I will add the sounds in front and side too
  9. Complain anyway) sometimes feedback can be extremely helpful, even if it's negative;) As for starter - yes, it's boring and quiet in real life, without any pitches. It starts "cutting off" I think because of the battery, low battery. You can try to turn on the ground power and it will sound without any breaks.
  10. Please attach video of what you mean, of how it should be. Wind in the cockpit with closed canopy.
  11. Our inertial starter sounds exactly like in reality. There is no "sloooowly increasing pitch/gear...." that you expect. And in the same way, we cannot add the sounds of what is not there. When the fuel flows, there will be a sound :)
  12. Thanks. It's a known and reported bug with sound cones and requires some changes to the core of the sound engine. therefore cannot be promptly resolved. Please be patient :)
  13. Fixed. Please wait for updates
  14. Many thanks for your report. I think there will be a lot of new complaints if we remove the sound. So then we will replace it with the sound of the other pushbuttons.
  15. Many thanks. Are you a pilot in reality? Please provide us with references and we will quickly correct the sound of the cannon in this direction.

  16. Just tested it again with "c:\Users\USERNAME\Saved Games\DCS\Sounds\sdef\WheelSlide.sdef". Everything works fine. Maybe you have some sound mods? or you still copy to wrong folder. Sorry, I can't find another reason
  17. Hi. Just copy your sound files to c:\Users\USERNAME\Saved Games\DCS\Sounds\ There are many threads on forum about it. For example, https://forums.eagle.ru/forum/english/dcs-world-topics/mods-and-apps/how-to/96642-sound-modding Thanks
  18. "C:\Users\<USERNAME>\Saved Games\DCS" should be there. It is created by DCS. And inside it you have to create "Sounds\sdef" to modify sdefs. Maybe you have selected another user's folder? And try to edit this file "c:\Users\USERNAME\Saved Games\DCS\Sounds\sdef\WheelSlide.sdef" and set gain = 0 This way you completely remove this sound from the game and hear the difference.
  19. Thank you very much! Yes, you are correct, and there are deviations in the calculation of the appearance of the sonic boom sound. However, to correct them, we will have to edit the main core sound engine of the DCS and involve the main programmers. So please don't expect a quick fix.
  20. Many thanks for your investigation. But the firecracker and impacts sounds should not be connected to each other. They are independent. 1st one, the ‘firecracker’ sound, is the sound of the sonic boom effect from the shells, that pass by the listener. You can fire in the air and there won't be any impacts. But there will be the ‘firecracker’ sound, if your camera stays in the front of the plane. And there will be no any ‘firecracker’ sound if you are behind the plane. But in this case you can hear the impacts sound. So the time between the 1st and the 2nd sounds depends on two parameters: 1) how far are you from impacts on the ground and 2) when the shells fly past the camera and make the "sonic boom" effect Although you may be partly right and the time of flight of the projectiles past the camera is calculated not quite correctly. We'll investigate that. Thanks
  21. Many thanks for your report. I've found the problem with Airbrake sound. The bug is reported and assigned now.
  22. It seems to be this bug https://forums.eagle.ru/forum/english/digital-combat-simulator/dcs-world-2-5/bugs-and-problems-ai/sound-ac/285730-reported-afterburner-sound-bug Please try this temporarily solution https://forums.eagle.ru/forum/english/digital-combat-simulator/dcs-world-2-5/bugs-and-problems-ai/sound-ac/285730-reported-afterburner-sound-bug?p=6457052#post6457052
  23. Yes, that's how it is now implemented in DCS. But if the camera is behind the cannon, then you shouldn't hear the 1st sound at all.
  24. GAU-8 consists of two sounds (in fact, there are more of them, but we will simplify for understanding): 1) the sound of shells flying past - BRRRRrrrt crackle sound 2) and the sound of the BZZzzz cannon itself (low frequency sound). Perhaps you mean the 1st sound. But it's ok, that sometimes you don't hear it. You shouldn't even hear it if you are behind the plane and the shells fly away FROM you.
  25. Please attach your track, log, video.... something to help us to find the problem.
