  1. I want a large wooden steering wheel. We are having dcs ships, boats and subs aren't we?
  2. Oh yes baby, now you're talking.
  3. Take a look at the Mission Builders' Corner sub-forum found in the main Missions and Campaigns forum. I think that is what you are looking for.
  4. I found this video , (and yes i know its an F-111), but it just goes to show how much play you have with laser guided bombs once they have been released. From 1 minute 7 seconds into the video it gets a bit comical, but it highlights just how much you can manoeuvre a laser guided bomb once it's been dropped. Anyway, I just thought it makes for an interesting video, about how to make the most out of a bad situation.
  5. Thanks Ventus_Clu for the above post, good to hear real world procedures from someone who has direct experience.
  6. Hi Mtnbiker1998 I used a cheap 19 inch monitor that I got from a charity shop to stick my MFD's to. I used double sided sticky tape. I made it a bit more interesting by cutting out a panel from some MFD wood and fitting over the monitor. Added a little keyboard, a landing gear switch and a home made UFC. See here for an earlier posting with a couple of photos. Its quite simple (apart from the UFC) and cheap to do and looks ok. http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=2484474&postcount=6 Regards, Milli
  7. Hi there Crunchy. I have a 10 slot usb hub plugged into the back of my computer. I play DCS World, some driving games, Arma 3, Elite Dangerous and a couple others. I have my USB hub labelled with all the various controllers I use. I simply leave the Hub empty of controllers and when I decide what game I am going to play I simply plug the appropriate harware in. I have slots for my Saitek Rudder Pedals, a Seitek Yoke and throttle, my Thrustmaster Joystick, my Thrustmaster Throttle, my Saitek MFD's (Left one and right one), my homemade UFC for the A-10C, my Microsft Sidewinder joystick, my Logitech Hand controller and a Microsft Steering Wheel. I have no problem with any of the games losing there assignments. I just make sure that everything I need for that particular game is plugged into the usb hub before I start the game. I have labels on the end of the controllers usb cable for quick identification. Just plug it in, play the game, and then unplug it when finished. My computer is always on when I'm plugging in and unplugging the controllers. Try it and see if it works for you. It should be ok, I don't seem to have any problems. Not sure what would happen if I started the game without the controller plugged in, I avoid that situation.
  8. You undoubtedly have the most prolifically endless font of ideas that I have ever known. Keep it up.
  9. Good thinking Brixmis. Now I have a use for all those odd socks I keep finding.
  10. Does this happen to other types of jets other than F-16's? Seems ridiculous that this happens. The above crash at the airshow is beyond belief. Thats an expensive, advanced modern jet fighter, crashing because of a steamed up window.
  11. During the last few years when I've been wandering around the aircraft at Fairford RIAT airshow in the UK, I come across the Textron AirLand Scorpion. I automatically think of the A-10 everytime I see it. http://www.scorpionjet.com/aircraft-features/ Cheap and cheerful.
  12. Big BIG spanner in Node 2. I like it. Thanks Eight Ball.
  13. Try this link Valinor. http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=2640676&postcount=742 It links to post #742 which includes a file to mod the cloud shadows.
  14. Truly a work of art.
  15. Various cities have been bombed with CBU's from the air and also from MRL's many times over the years. Its just that seeing it on a video makes it look rather shocking, which it is.
  16. Psion Flight Simulation on Sinclair ZX81. Spent hours flying this one. 1982 it was released. I remember my parents buying me the computer for £45 for Xmas and this game came with it. Here's an emulated version I just found which you can play on the website. Just click the play button. Brings back memories! http://www.zx81stuff.org.uk/zx81/tape/FlightSimulation Regards, Milli
  17. Now that's looking very smart and tidy. With the A-10C RWR, I'd like to know if its possible to have the range rings shown too. For some reason they don't show up when exported. And you've given me the idea of adding a BIG eject button somewhere on my panel. How I need that one ha ha. Regards, Milli
  18. Sorry to hear about your activation issues. Its not good that a legitimate user has to put up with all that stuff. I haven't changed my hardware in ages so have yet to go through that loop. By the way, I use Easy Monitor Configurator to place the exported displays. Quick and easy. I'm not sure if it has been updated to up with each new version of DCS World. I've read that if it is installed new now, then some registry editing is needed to point it to the right file path. If you haven't tried it then here is the link: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=71831 There is of course ULTRAMFCD which I haven't yet used. Looks very good. http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=138924
  19. You do sound very happy! Sticking the mfd's on top of the lcd works great. If I took me piece of MDF wooden surround off my 19inch monitor (in above photos) it looks just like yours. And its very portable too. I just lift my panel up and slot it to one side of my main monitor, out of the way. Simples. Glad you made it work. Good to see someone happy! Regards, Milli
  20. I've been trying to think of something funny to say about this post, or whether to just simply say nothing, or to even be informative. But I'm stumped. Its a psychological puzzle to me.
  21. Will be good to see your pics. I'm always looking for different ideas.
  22. I think you meant to say "are NOW up on the site..." Regards, Milli
  23. Very good, I like this.
